It's time for another missive from the malevolent moggie who currently serves as your Minister of Education.


It has been suggested that I create an article regarding the various packs available for purchase to help bolster your chances of success. It appears every time I log on there's yet another offer for this pack, that pack or the other pack. But are these good value? Let's take a look at the various packs currently on offer.




Got to be quick to get this on offer - it runs out very soon! But is it good value? 25 gold for €14.90 only works out at 1.67 gold/€, which is worse value than the cheapest pay for gold rate. Still, you get a lot of combat-orientated goodies, so if you intend to grab a BH or CH, this might be worth a shot, especially with the Energy Building which offers twice the normal energy and those damage accelerators which can be a real boon for hard-hitters. If all you want is the clinky, shiny gold (bonus points for the reference), look at other options.



If you're wanting gold quickly, this pack offers 50 gold - but it's only worth buying on offer! The offer price of €9.90 works out at an impressive 5.05 gold/€, and you have the added bonus of a bunch of bazooka-related goodies, some bombs and a rocket factory booster as well as 20 (count 'em!) energy bars, which would normally set you back a good 100 gold if you were to buy them. The extra 10% bonus gold for achievements is an added incentive, though since the recent changes for TP, FF and Merc medals have replaced gold with cash it's not as big a deal unless you're a committed BH/CH chaser.

This seems to alternate with the War Stash on a monthly basis.



If you intend to buy gold and are in no rush for it, these currently represent a bargain. Compared to even the best value gold packs (300 gold for €99.90, which works out at a little over 3 gold/€), these give you over three times as much gold. There is no difference in value for money - both give the same 10 gold/€ at the moment.

Please note that the monthly gold packs are usually €15 and €24.90 each, which work out at 2 gold/€ and ~3.6 gold/€ respectively. The latter is still a better way to purchase gold, even if not on offer, than the best value bulk gold purchase.
