[MoEd] Military FAQ

Day 3,073, 12:53 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Department for Education

You’ve missed us, haven’t you? Don’t worry, your favourite Ministry of Education is back with another guide which looks at one of the most important and most popular areas of the game. You can command others, make strategic plans and slaughter your enemies on the battlefield. Yes, this guide will look at the military module! And most importantly, we will be answering some of your most asked questions!

What can I actually do in the military module?
The military module is focused around the battlefield where you can fight your enemies or take part in the 1v1 guerrilla battle mode - and a big part of doing well in these is increasing your strength. The military module extends to military units, where you work with allies to coordinate damage and participate in group work, and government or alliance commanders, who command whole nations to fight enemy nations. There really is a lot to do!

Do I need to join a military unit?
Joining a military unit is not essential. You can still work in a Ministry of Defence or for an alliance, or just fight on the battlefield, but being a part of a military unit significantly increases what you can do by working with allies and taking part in group activities like strikes or special eRepublik events. Most people join a military unit.

What is a military unit? And what can I do in them?
A military unit is a collection of fighters. They are generally inclusive so anyone can join, but sometimes they are exclusive and only allow special fighters in through invite. When in a military unit you get a daily order for where to fight (if you are a captain or commander of your unit you can even set the orders), as well as access to a chat room and feed to talk to fellow fighters. You may get extra combat orders (money for fighting), group activities (like strikes where you fight and get weapons) and eRepublik military unit events if you are part of a military unit. There are also leaderboards to compete on within your military unit. There are lots of things, we cannot possibly answer them all in one paragraph!

What are combat orders?
Combat orders are orders which if you follow you receive money. They are set on a money per damage basis so the more damage you do, the more money you receive. You must select them on the right side of the battlefield to get the money though.

How do I increase the amount of damage I deal?
The damage you deal is based on three things; your strength, your military rank and your weapons. Increasing any of those things will increase the amount of damage you deal. Other temporary options are to use a damage booster (either 50% or 100% extra damage for a certain amount of time), use a ghost booster (increase strength for a limited time), or fight against your country’s natural enemy (an extra 10% damage).

What are the levels for different divisions?
Division 1: 1-34
Division 2: 35-49
Division 3: 50-69
Division 4: 70+

Who decides who we go to war with?
These decisions are usually made by the Country President, with help from the Ministry of Defence and Congress. The public can influence the choices by being vocally active. Occasionally the alliance that a country belongs to will ask for a war to be started, but the choice would come down to one of the people mentioned earlier.

What happens when a country is wiped?
When a country is wipe😛
- They can no longer collect taxes from any of their regions
- They cannot set an airstrike or natural enemy law
- Congress cannot be elected
- Dictatorships cannot be formed

Well… plenty of questions to digest there. There are many more questions that you could ask and we cannot fit them all into one article, so if you have any questions about the military module please ask in the comments. Similarly, let us know which guides you would like making next.
