The eBelgian Military is starting a ranking program to help our soldiers reach higher ranks in order to perform better on the battlefield. To do this we will supply soldiers who sign up to this program with free weapons to fight in Training Wars with. We will be working from the top to bottom: that is to say that we will be focusing on our generals, then our colonels, and our captains first. After these are cleared we will shift the focus to the lower tiers (who should be advancing by themselves slowly).
To be part of this program you must meet certain requirements:
-Be part of the eBelgian Military (obviously)
-Have installed the new order system
-Be active (army forum)
-Be either a general, colonel or captain in game
We will be providing Q1 guns in this order:
Generals: 5 Q1/battle
Colonels: 4Q1/battle
Captains: 3Q1/battle

Good idea. In V2 it is much harder to rank up, many people wont bother.

Good idea, but isn't it a little backwards? Shouldn't we be supplying weapons to the LOWER ranks for training purposes because they are the ones who can't afford it on thier own? That way we help them rank up while also giving an incentive to younger citizens to remain active (both of which help us in the long-term).

Offering a Q1 weapon to the youngest citizens can be done toward MoHA programs maybe...

Yes, but what is the point when higher levels can already afford to buy Q1 weapons for training and will get a hold of them with or without military help? That money could be used for something else or saved up for battles where buying high quality weapons for higher level players might actually make a difference. Also, training isn't charity at ANY level. Its an investment, and IMHO it seems like such an investment would have a higher rate of return with the lower levels.
But then again, I have zero military experience in this game and I trust that you guys know what you're doing. My comment was simply an expression of my personal curiosity.
We are a very small country with a very low income that the military takes in. This means that we can only give Q1s to a select few. Field Marshals are those who are able to do the most damage, and we won't be able to move en masse with privates and corporals. That is why we are funding the higher ranks first in order to have a more powerful elite that we can move around.
@Zarsky - Yes, but like I said, most elites can (and alrady do) purchase thier own q1 weapons for training wars without government help. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this mean we would be funding something that already happens without government help? In the end there is no net increase in army strength -- just an increase in money in the pockets of elites (from what they save by no longer having to purchase their own weapons for training wars). Why not give these guns to captains and leutenants (and maybe colonels) where it would actually make a difference in training behavior? Or better yet, why not use that money to stockpile Q5 weapons for our elite soldiers to distribute during real battles where supplying them would actually make a difference?
I'm expecting people to be honest. I could have benefitted from a ranking program but I saw that I could fund myself so I just got to FM with my own pockets at the end. I'm expecting others to do the same and only apply to this program if they need the support. I'm getting the few that will apply here first, then I'm moving down the ladder.
