Day 879, 02:11 Published in Belgium Belgium by eBelgian Foreign Affairs
Dear citizens of eBelgium,

Even if you're not a new player, please vote this article up, it would be a huge help to have this article in the top 5. The purpose of this article is to make sure that the first couple of days in eRepublik go as well a possible, since this is very important for the further eLife of your citizen.

The most important thing to know is that eBelgium has an official forum outside eRepublik where you can find info, help and funde bates. besides that there is a mentor program here, you can always PM the people on this list for help and info Soon this list will be adjusted, so keep an eye on the newspapers.

Another important source of information is the eRepublik Wiki site, which you can find here . Here you'll find all information you need to play this game. A couple of important topics are:
Experience and Features
Work
Food
Train
Fight

Besides the mentoring program, eBelgium has some other social programs for citizens who have Wellness problems or can't afford a moving ticket to move to Brussels, where they can take advantage of the Hospital.

In what follows we will give a short developement in your first week in eRepublik, but first we will elaborate a bit on the basics of the game. In eRepublik you can pursue your personal economical, political or military ambitions and by doing so you can change the course of history of the New World. To unlock certain possibilities in the game you need experience. Some of these possibilities include: fighting, voting, joining a political party, etc. You also need to consume food daily (to regain some Wellness) and you can work, train, fight,... to get experience, but these actions always cost some Wellness.

The first week:

Day 1

Upload your first avatar.
Find a .jpg picture and upload it on your profile page, you will already receive experience points for this.

Find a job.
In the "Market" tab click on "Job market" and find a company which hires employees with skill level 0-0.99. Your first job should only be at a Q1 company (1 green star), otherwise working will take too much Wellness off. Every day you work earns you money and increases your skill in that production branch. A higher skilled employee is usually payed more.

Now you should have 7 XP and you haven't lost any Wellness yet.

Level 2: Now you can train.

Working.
To work you go to the "My places" tab, you choose "Company" and you then click on the "Work" button approximately in the centre of the screen. You should try to work every day, because you gain 1 XP on top of your wage and you will receive a Treasure Map (about 5 Gold) for every "Hard Worker Medal" awarded to you for working 30 days in a row. You will lose Wellness for working, 1 Wellness if you work in a Q1 company (1 star), whole 3 Wellness in a Q3 company (3 stars).

Training.
Under the "My places" tab you need to click on "Training grounds" and then click on "Standard training" (the first one of the four buttons). You gain 2 XP per training and you lose 2 Wellness. On top of that you will also increase your strength, and if it reaches 5 you get another Treasure Map (approximately 5 Gold) for your first "Super Soldier Medal". Strength also influences your performance on the battle field.
You are now level 3: You can move and fight now, but we'll come to that a bit later.

Buying food.
Choose "Marketplace" under the "Market" tab and buy a couple pieces of Q1 food. Just like in real life you need to eat every day to survive. Every day a piece of food of the highest quality available in your inventory will be consumed, which will give you some Wellness. It is important that you always have food in your inventory.
You are now level 3, you have 10 XP, 1,5 strength, 0,5 job skill and you have lost 3 Wellness.

Day 2
Start your day by fighting and training.

Moving.
If you don't live in Brussels, you need to move there as soon as possible, because Brussels has a Q5 Hospital, and you shouldn't fight untill you get there, otherwise you will lose a lot of Wellness. To be able to move you need a moving ticket (you can always ask for support by sending a PM to this organisation) and then you click on "Change" under your current location on your profile page.

Fighting.
If you live in Brussels you can start fighting in the training wars, you will find more information on those in
this article . In the introduction screen you will probably see ePhilippines attacking eMalaysia. This is the training war in which our country participates, you can join the fighting by clicking on it. Fighting will give you 2 XP and will cost 10 Wellness (per fight). At the Q5 Hospital you can get up to 50 Wellness lost in battle that day, that's why it's so important to move to Brussels.

If you haven't fought yet then you have now: level 3, 13 XP, job skill 1 and you have lost between 6 and 7 Wellness.

Day 3
Work and train.

You are now level 4 and you can invite friends to eRepublik, which can provide you extra Treasure Maps for every friend who reaches level 6. Under "Community" click on "Invite friends".

You are now level 4, you have 16 XP, 1,25 job skill and you have lost between 9 and 10 Wellness if you haven't fought. You have unlocked the "Invite friends" option.

Day 4
Work and train.

You are now level 4, you have 19 XP, 1,5 job skill and you lost between 12 and 13 Wellness.

Day 5
Work and train, and you will notice that you have almost run out of food in your inventory, so it's now time to buy new food.

You are now level 4, you have 22 XP, 1,75 job skill and you lost between 15 and 16 Wellness.

Day 6
Work and train, and in the meantime you should have enough money by now for a moving ticket to move to Brussels in order to be able to take part in the daily training wars. Your job skill is also becoming quite high by now and it is time to look out for a new and better paid job offer.

This was a short introduction to eRepublik, don't forget to vote this article up so as many players as possible will see it. Take a minute to browse the other articles in this newspaper to find more useful information.
