[KSA] New Term + Short Introduction [August 2012]

Day 1,712, 08:38 Published in Saudi Arabia Saudi Arabia by I-G-D
Dear people of eSaudi Arabia,

I would like to announce that after the Presidential elections (via messages) it was decided that I will be the next President of eSaudi Arabia. Thank you everyone for your support, I will not let you down. This article will serve as an introduction for my upcoming term : remember that the current Government will still be the one, this is just my plan for the time period of August 6th, 2012 – September 6th, 2012, when I’ll be the President.

New Government positions

The new Government will have a much more complex system than all the Governments before it. How will the Government function ? Here’s a scheme :

The green colour represents official full Government members whose names will appear in all Government discussions, and the gray colour represents unofficial members who are cooperating with the Government. This is what the duties will be for each position :

President :
The President needs to worry about everything that happens in eSaudi Arabia, and it’s his job to make sure everything goes well. His main duty is to represent his country, in both diplomacy and interior matters, and his other important responsibilities include work organization and Government coordination.

Vice-President :
The Vice-President is the President’s assistant, and it’s his job to help out the President, or replace him when the President isn’t there.

Advisor :
This position is there to help out the President and Vice-President, and the most important thing needed for this position is experience, while activity isn’t a priority.

Ministers :
Their duties vary depending on the ministry they’re in, though it is safe to say that they are in charge of their own sector (their own ministry). You can read about the ministries and their duties here.

Deputies :
Their duty is to assist the ministers, like the Vice-President assists the President. Deputies can also be called Vice-Ministers, both names mean the same.

Rookies :
This is a special new position implemented only for newer players who are interested in learning how to work in the Government. They won’t be official Government members, but will be trained so they can enter the Government later on. They can choose in which ministry they want to work, and after their “term”, the Minister will either approve them as capable of working full-time in the upcoming Governments or mark them as currently incapable. Anyone can apply to be a Rookie, and if a Rookie fails this “test”, he will always be able to apply for Rookie again.

Special Teams Leaders and Members :
Special Teams are also a new thing. They will have more centralized goals than the ministries, and their leaders will also be a part of the Government, whilst the regular members won’t be considered full Government members, but will have a cooperation with the Government, as already mentioned. Examples for Special Teams include the Wiki Editor Team, and the Baby Boom Organization Squad. The number of Special Teams that will be present during my term is still unknown and will be decided when the time comes.

Ambassadors :
People who work for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and whose job is to keep the relations positive beetween eSaudi and a specific country. Their job is centralized just like the Special Teams’, though their duties are only related to diplomacy, while the Special Teams have more internal jobs.

New citizenship system

The previous citizenship system will be slightly modified. Those who want to apply for citizenship will use the same form from before, and the only person who will be able to accept them will be the Minister of Interior Affairs (like before), but a new G-document will be added, where the applicants could see their names. There will be 3 columns, for the applicants under review (those who have just applied), for those who got accepted, and for the declined ones. That way they can find out whether they were accepted or declined really fast, and if they indeed were accepted, they could apply for citizenship in-game as well. That is why I consider this system more efficient than the previous one.

Rizon tutorial

In my next article I will make a full tutorial on how to use Rizon (the chat server with most eRepublik channels), with all the needed details. This is the first step towards a more active community (and Government as well).

If you’re interested in anything else, or want to suggest something, or just talk to me, send me a message.
