✯ ✯ ✯ I Remember ✯ ✯ ✯

Day 2,092, 20:31 Published in USA USA by GloveisLove

I wanted love, I needed love.

When we were first wiped, and it was a calamity, that lasted a grueling 15 minutes. Some of the most painful 15 minutes ever endured by eAmerica. I remember who continued the fight, against overwhelming odds, against the whole might of ONE, in an era where all of TEDEN was wiped and only eAmerica was left to make a courageous yet unsuccessful last stand. I remember who continued to support us, despite overwhelming odds.

Following that fall, we endured a long but steady recovery. Eventually regaining all of our lost land and encompassing even more, eventually annexing the better parts of Indonesia and Mexico under the peak of my rule.

But then, things changed. The leadership got too progressive. Plots to destroy Eden and create a super alliance “CTRL” still haunted us. Partly due to Eden's influence on the American electorate and partly because of resentment. The plans were too ambitious, and the bridges were burned too hastily. Over the course of many months, against the will of much of the general populace, we enteted into talks with Spoland. Mind you, many of the same leaders of this archive were the very same leaders of then present day Spoland. Mind you, when USA left Terra that technically left us with the option of pursuing any foreign policy we wanted, and a lot of the leadership wanted some drastic changes, except it could not include Serbia or traditional enemies. Which to me, never made sense, because a lot of our allies would be associated with the former and latter. Ironically, instead of becoming more powerful as a nation & alliance, I would argue we actually became, weaker.

Our foreign policy shifts nerved our past allies, thus driving them towards the hands of the enemy. This is not to say this would not have happened regardless, as with all things in this game, there is nothing static, and brotherhood is but a cheap propaganda to plague the public of a farce sense of unity.

Having served as SC of Terra, and as PotUS three times, I can say with confidence that an alliance is only as strong as its propaganda. If people see weakness in their alliance, if they do not believe they are the best or can be the best, they will lose hope. When people lose hope, they seek alternatives, and when people seek alternatives, the fabric of the alliance hangs loosely.

I believed in solidarity with our allies, having even been awarded the Order of Canada for defending Canada from a rogue eAmerican state. Many many months later, we find ourselves allied with Canada once more.

I guess this poses a real question for us: Where do we go from here? For many months we have been told that we needed “Unity” elections because of the threat of a hostile take over by the AFA. Until this last month we finally saw “free” elections. But now we have no Congress. For months we have been told that there are attempts to strengthen CoT through better coordination and communication. But I don’t see it. I see that for weeks eUSA has been losing and gaining regions daily, only to find itself back to square one. I can’t put blame on any single person, because this is something that has resulted from months of poorly thought strategies and foreign affairs.

However, going back to the old ways is not an option. No matter how much you daydream about it. That would require an intense amount of public relations campaigning and an unheard amount of swag. But we need to be aware of our situation.

Just by glancing at the CoT alliance, the following is the state of CoT:

Germany- Ok
Switzerland - Wiped
Bulgaria - Wiped
Indonesia - Ok
Paraguay - Ok
USA - Only 2 Regions
Belgium - Only 1 Region
Japan - Only 1 Region
Moldavia - Only 1 Region
Peru - Ok
Mexico - Only 2 regions
Russia - Not in Original Lands
South Korea - Only 1 region
Chile - Ok
FYROM - Wiped

I do not want to put CoT in a inferior light, but these are facts. I understand that a lot of effort has been put forward towards making CoT a realization, but I truthfully cannot say I ever believed it would be successful. I hope I can be proved wrong, but so far I have not.

As an eAmerican citizen, I want to know what is being done about our situation. Or have you all admitted to defeat, and are content with knowing that we are in a perpetual cycle of gaining and losing regions?

I remember all the adversity this nation has faced.

I remember when America faced its first great invasion, and survived.

I remember the endless hours and planning we have spent to give hope to future generations.
I remember the great nation we once were.
And I do not want us to further crumble into decay.
I remember what it meant to be an, eAmerican.

I hope you all remember as well.
