Speaker Nominations

Traditionally electing the new Speaker of the House of Commons has been handled by the exiting Speaker who requests nominations from the Party Presidents who have candidates in the Congressional elections.

This is the approach I plan to take;

WookieO - UKRP
Sir Rex Fleddington - PCP
CptChazbeard - TRS (running in coalition with the UKRP)
as well as seek any potential candidate from my own party the WRP

So if you'd like to be nominated to be Speaker this upcoming term. Get in touch with your respective Party President.
The only requirement I'm aware of is you need to be a member of Congress so if you are in an uncertain position wheter or not you'll successfully obtain a seat on your party's list you may chose to wait till the Congressional election results are clearer
I will close nominations at 15:00 (UK time) / 07:00 (New World Time) tomorrow.

Law Proposals

As requested by the Country President and Ministry of Finance, two law proposals will be raised for the exiting members of Congress to consider;

Note about timing; These law proposals are being raised with the exiting members of Congress as traditionally a newly appointed Congress of the UK has a high initial workload 'New Speaker Election', debates regarding the use of fourms vs New World personal messages groups .etc and with incoming attacks imminent as a country we require swift and as informed as possible Congressional action.

Country Donations 150,000.00 to the Bank of England to support any future requirement of Command Orders as we look likely to be under attack from numerous enemies soon. This will take the funds available the CP and the MoF just over 400,000.00cc. Around 200,000.00cc will remain in the Country Account pending the law proposal below...


Issue Money - Issue 100,000.00cc at the cost of 500 Gold. The exchange is 1 Gold equals 200cc so a profit of 11cc per gold at the moment and would provide us as a country more usable money in the Country Accounts for Congress to decide to approve a future donation if required.

The newly elected Congress can then decide whether or not to release any of this to the Country Organisations via donation to further support the defence of our nation or to 'Issue Money' again using our Country's Gold reserves.
