[Great Scott] Stage 1 (DON'T FORGET YOUR COOKER)

Day 3,750, 04:30 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by perilouspanther

To all,

I have made an account of the past few months for you. I hope it will make for an equally exciting read as the journey I am experiencing.

---TURN 1----

Week 1: I found a telescope this week, it must have been left behind by a previous expedition. It was a rather ornate, gold and silver plated telescope. It has made life much easier, especially with finally reaching my end goal of finding the mystical golden woldy; an artefact that is only heard about in legends, containing all the power in the world, for who ever wields the golden woldy, controls the world, or so the legend goes.

---TURN 2---

Week 2: I encountered a savage, wild husky last week. It looked weak, unable to fight. I decided it would be on my conscience if I let it die, so I slowly fed it back to health. It now follows me everywhere and I have decided to teach it at least some manners. Yesterday I managed to get it to sit. I've found it useful for warmth at night. A companion in this harsh environment is a comfort.

A sketch of James Cook (The name I gave to the husky).

---TURN 3---

Week 3: I decided to back track this week since I saw another group take the region I was going to take for king and country. On my way back I found another telescope. I figured a telescope company had in fact decided to take a short cut around the globe in order to sell their telescopes for less. They must have dropped some in order to reduce the weight on their backs. Alas, I assume they must have died in the blizzards of this hostile continent.

A photo of a crate of telescopes the traders must have dropped.

---TURN 4---

Week 4: After back tracking a couple of hundred kilometres I've finally reached the region's peak. I planted the company flag and found a shelter under a overhang where I could pitch a tent. James Cook snored all night. At least I was warm though. I plan on moving south again in my search of the Golden Woldy.

Please do send supplies and prizes.

Wish me luck,
