Join the new world

As you know, Congressional elections are on the 25th and this month I'll be standing in the region of Mayo. This election is exciting to me because, I get to complete one of my eRepublik goals! Ever since I was a new player in the Radical Freethinkers Alliance I've always wanted to run for Congress with the support of two political parties. This month I'm happy to say through the graciousness of ESO, Draaglom, and the members of the People's Communist Party..

I get to be the Congressional Candidate for the People's Communist Party in Mayo!


Currently, I'm doing a bunch of different things in government. I'm the eUKs Deputy PM, a Member of Parliament, and our Minister of Finance. I've also been a Military Commander (GOC) and genuinely believe in working across party lines to find common purpose and get things done. I've got a good understanding of how things work in-game, understand congressional duties and proposals, and believe strongly in supporting good ideas.

I'm also a General Manager. Currently I own four companies and produce goods such as Q5 food, Q5 Weapons, and Raw Materials. Additionally, I am a 5,400+ strength soldier and a member of the UK Special Forces with nearly my entire eLife spent working in military companies. I also enjoy helping and meeting new players and am the recipient of seven Society Builder trophies.


I'm happy to say that this congressional term we cut our Income Tax rates by 10%! The resulting revenue decline shows that eUK players are now earning about 10,000 GBP more per day than they were before. It was a massive win for Congress as well as all working citizens. Once we're able to project our Country Earnings a bit further ahead, the government will be exploring the possibility of reducing them even further. But for now, it's a great start.


Oh yes, the stupid Monetary Market. Bane of global economy, the Monetary Market continues to give us and just about everyone else shit. After a brief flirt with the 690s (1g = 690gbp) and steady rates in the 770s (1g = 770gbp) GBP has once again fallen in value to the 950s. This decline in currency value coincides with the "1/2 price company upgrades" promotion being offered by Plato and the rush for gold has put downward pressure on our, and many other, global currencies. Either that, or Plato's doing it. We really can't be sure.



The government's Land Grant program is up and running. The program is designed to entice General Managers to start creating more WRM/FRM resources for our marketplace by giving them extra currency for Land and Storage Units. So far, we've given out over 44,000 GBP to citizens, helping them build personal wealth and help push raw material costs down.
