[eBe] End of Term

Dear citizens and friends,
the eRep admins are currently in the process to verify the election results, what means that my term is over. At the end of every major event, it is good to take the occasion and reflect. It is without any doubt, that being the CP for such a marvelous country as eBe is a major event, so I have reflected back on the last month and invite all of you, to do the same.

During my campaign, an emphasis was put that we need to work as a team, something I strongly believe in. As in a good team, I gave everyone involved the space to take responsibility and credit for their actions. Naturally, there came critics that I just wanted everyone else to do my job. However, there was often contact with people from the government and many got a small push to do their job faster/better/...
Despite the fact that this government received the approval of an huge part of the population and my candidature was supported by 8 parties, there was a vocal minority that gave some justified and a lot of totally unjustified critics.

A few promises where also made to the population and I'm happy to see that they where kept. We became a full member of CoT, Ministers had their autonomy and only in a few cases there was need to more detailed guidance and interference, the CP-appointed-IO did a good job on immigration and he has now a set of guidance rules that should help him. Last, but not least, a work group representing the broad spectrum of eBe made its recommendations about the citizen programs and that was presented towards congress.

However, this government did not take a break when did happen and continued searching for a NE possibility. This is something that is harder than many people imagine and reckless actions (such as rogue NE-proposals), make this much more difficult. However, as you noticed, we didn't promise a TW, but we did deliver you one. Earlier today, the RW of Flanders was successful, guaranteeing that we will have at least 5 MPP-fights instead of 4. It is now up to my successor to finish this TW and get eBe liberated before the congress elections.

As a finish, we would like to thank everyone that helped, had a constructive attitude and gave us the advice we sometimes needed. Furthermore, we are grateful for the good cooperation with our counterparts from our CoT-allies and the eUK government. Personally, I want also to thank all my dear colleagues from the government, especially the people that took up some responsibility for the first time.

In 15 minutes, the next government is officially known and preparations are already done to secure a swift transition. We wish the next government a lot of luck and we all hope on a successful month for them.
