Hello everyone!
Well, here we go for one more update on eSwitzerland and a public debate about the Swiss taxes. Have a good read.
Military Campaigns
The last week was very hard for the Swiss government. The NE of Hungary has surprised us, however Switzerland managed to cut the borders with Hungary and avoid a direct war between our countries, which would cost a lot for us. The military campaigns of Switzerland during the congress period had results planned by the Government. Except for the RW of Vorarlberg which we did a second plan and it worked perfectly. In resume all the military movements of Switzerland was sucessfull.
MU Tournament
Recently a new tournament was reliased by the admins. The tournament is not well planned and it benefit few people. For these fails of the tournment, I decided to do not organise Switzerland for this tournament. The first reason was explained above. Second, this is a militry unit tournament which the prizes are not good at all, connected to all these reasons, we are improving our military system now, we should not interfer on it because this tournament.
Foreign Affairs
In the diplomatic area Switzerland has estabilished new friendships around the world. The agreement with Saudi Arabia will allow us to have a good cooperation and expand our influence. The talks with Austria did great too, however their internal problems to have or don´t have a congress suspended the negotiations due to the constant change of regions. In few days our agreement will be fixed.
Society
In the social area, the Swiss society has turned active again, the country is more united, without big internal fights like we had few months ago. Sure we have our political fights, but it´s minor problems which has not interfered in the development of our country due to the Government´s Policy of a government for everyone, and not for a few. Public debates will keep going on and soon you will see more researchs of the SNIGS.
Economical Debate
Today´s debate is about the Swiss taxes. Switzerland has increased its taxes in the end of July. During this month with new taxes the Swiss income icreased and the Market was not affected at all. Our Market still stable and without inflaction. Now it's time to discuss again, in public for whole country, the new taxes. Comment your opinion about this, we would like to hear you, so we can make a Project based on people's opinion.

My opinion about taxes:
Congress changed our taxes somedays ago. I would like to see how it works with 5%. If our market stay stable and Switzerland be able to defend its food bonuses, I think we should grow food for 10%. But just if 5% really works. (Im talking about import tax)
If the current taxes don't works, keep food in 5% and Weapons at 3%. We will see in the next financial report.
It would be good to consider increase work tax for 5% too.

If we are going to raise taxes, we need to know what are money is being spent on. We want to increase taxes to x amount to help fund y mpp's and z food drive. I don't think people will mind how high taxes go if the money is spent on the country in positive ways.
Mainly to pay mpps and budget to defend the country. But it depends of each president

Yeah... It could decrease international participation in our market. But we should increase slowly while we have the 4 core regions and then we see what's better. But I guess soon we will need to decrease again
International participants set high prices so they can get a better profit than elsewhere.

I would suggest increasing only work tax and maybe import tax. Increasing VAT only makes market more fragile and many players can choose to sell or buy products via donations or buy them abroad in big countries.
The second thing is that you really have to consider is it worth to increase taxes, and what are the purposes of increasing them. Will that additional money really give you the edge or advantage you need to reach your goals? What is your population and do you have support programmes – will this tax raise make life hard for new players, and if so, are you able to supply them?
We had this in Latvia, when we recently increased WT to 6%. Older players were ok, because that money brought us more victories on the battlefield, but even though we have supplies for new players, they were not too happy, because it was tough for them to earn something.
Choose wisely 🙂
1. We don't have new young players. We do have multiple accounts/ banned players that made a new account, but I think it's a waste to give supplies to them.
2. We made this month a little over 10k, which is the cost of a MPP. No tax change would help us to be on + . If we sign no MPPs then would gather some money, but we will be vulnerable to enemies. Not to mention possible costs to set CO's, start RW;s, supplies, etc. 🙂
You have a lot gold in your treasury. Gather a group of trustworthy players, Issue money, buy gold with organization and donate it bavk to treasury. Easy money if you can get that gold back to treasury without someone stealing it 🙂
Yeah, that is the main problem. We are still working to build a united group.
