Hi kids!
I’m one frustrated pickle right now. Google is not my friend. They evidently don’t do surveys any longer and then I lost the first copy of this article that was 90% done because I bumped my tablet wrong. This will be the abriviated version as I am out of time. Anyhow, here goes for try #2.

Tokens
This article is to discuss the upcoming Resource War on the 6th. We have a short time to prepare and we have other countries willing to help us that need to know our intentions right away. Let us take a look at Tokens.
Claiming Resources
The President or Dictator in charge can claim a resource for one of his Country’s original Regions using Resource Tokens. Once a Country wins a Resource Token, a resource from the resource pool will be assigned to the eligible Region of the Country.
Using the resource assignation screen, the President/Dictator can pick one or more resources for each of the Country’s original Regions. Once a Country wins a Resource Token, the allocation process gets triggered. At that moment the Regions will be processed from top to bottom and the wanted resources from left to right until an eligible resource is found for that Region. If no resource is found for the Region, the next Region will be considered. If no Region can receive a resource, the Token is lost.
Resource Tokens
A token is awarded to a Country for each 30 000 Domination Points (the sum of the Domination Points over all the Divisions https://wiki.erepubl...ivision_battles ) that the Country gathers in direct Battles, Resistance Wars and Airstrikes (Civil Wars are not counted). A weekly Country Domination Points leaderboard is now online and a special “Domination Points till next token” leaderboard will be available throughout the event.

Domination Points
We have countries waiting to hear our plans. The tokens are awarded by Domination Points gained by fighting. The rare resources are gained by fighting in regions far from Australia. In other words get prepared to fight.
This list of combatants so far is thus:
Ireland, willing to do a double AS.
Romania willing to pay to have us AS them.
Chile willing to have a local war.

So far I’ve not spoken with South Africa or New Zealand. We currently have SA involved in a TW. I don’t know NZ’s plans but will find out.
As quickly as possible I need to hear your thoughts in comments below. Please dispense with the retoric and posturing, there is no time. I need factual information to use in organizing what could turn into a big headache for our next CP. Remember, this all starts on his/her first day.

FWIW, I personally know Irish and Polish representatives.
I can see only benefits from Ro offer: far enough, no costs, avoiding a *third part* intervention.
Romania sounds like a good option to me.
No clashing with someone else due to a duplicate airstrike. And its away from our home regions, better if we're continuing with SA tw.

I think it will be wrong to be ASed as we lose the ability to pick for that core region.
You still get to pick for all of your original regions. So that won't be a problem.

NZ is NE'd against Chile. So if we wanted a war against them, we'd have to declare costing 100/200/whatever it is gold.
Probably a determination reset Pat. NZ rents regions to chile.
Definitely, but unless they cancel the NE in the next 3 days, it would still cost us gold to declare a war with them. My guess is they'll keep it going for the Resource War.

Romania as well, less of a headache.
Strategically, battles with smaller countries may be more favourable.
We're more likely to get domination points in those battles, so more chance of getting first pick of resources.
If larger or more powerful countries have trouble finding easily won domination points, then they have less chance of securing the rare or very rare resources. The more of these that fall into the hands of smaller countries, the more chance that there will be greater balance in the new distribution. If a large country doesn't manage to secure a very rare resource, then the most they can hope for in that industry is
Note that having a very rare resource won't make you an automatic takeover target. Let's say a small country with 3 regions prioritises their available 3 resources in one region and one industry. The most they can attain is a 75% bonus with the top 3 resources, not the maximum 90%, but they also might end up with one very rare, an uncommon, and a common, which would only be 55%.
We also don't know yet whether moving companies will be a possibility after the initial placement, or if there will be the same level of buyback on dismantling them. Taking over a region and raising taxes may not guarantee income from company taxes.
There are as yet no announcements on whether the labour market will change under the new economy.
Sorry I forgot to fill in a number there:
If a large country doesn't manage to secure a very rare resource, then the most they can hope for in that industry is 70%.
My scenario : we accept Romania's offer...continue TW with South Africa ..make war with chile in new zealand ( war with new zealand as well in rw)....also maybe after romania we can AS another country (ireland)...keeping all these battles active will be hard...but we need to start signing new MPP right now
We would need to be careful of MPP stack conflicts if we plan on being at war with that many people at once. It might be better to re-sign some until after the resistance war so we don't waste all those 10Ks.
We don't have mutual friendly countries with ireland or chile...with S.A we already know the situation...so only romanian friends are a problem to solve
There are also another AS option not listed here. So quite a few options for the Senate to vote on. But yes we can sort out the MPPs once those details are concrete.
Our 7 regions allowed us to have more than one TW here. ASing another country doesn't exclude the option of making 2 TWs on our territories.
