Hello friends,
before I introduce myself, I thank N.oName for having accepted my citizenship request.
My name is Zefiroit and I am an Italian boy in RL. Unfortunately, I don't speak (and I write) well English so you will have to be very patient with me.
I have been eItalian for many years but now I decided to go around the eWorld and meet new people from countries I visited or would like to visit in RL.
In game, I am not a fighter and I have always tried to help the community to grow and be united; I have been several times CM and PP and I am deputy chief for the ESS, an eItalian state agency that funds young players.
Being passionate about History and Archaeology, I decided to start my eJourney from Cyprus, crossroads between East and West, for its Mesopotamian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Venetian past.
Although I haven't had the opportunity to visit it in RL yet, I hope that it will soon happen also thanks to her proximity to Italy and the fact that it is a member of the EU.
Sooner or later surely I will be but in the meantime I hope you suggest some interesting destination.

Byzantine doesn't exist, we call ourselves Romans, get it right boy.
byzantium is the modernized exonym for the greek (eastern roman) empire, so he's not wrong.
we shouldnt call ourselves romans, but GREEKS.
the greek empire of the medieval era, AKA=eastern roman empire, AKA=byzantium.

you should definitely visit cyprus, for its a beautiful country, full of greek culture and with really nice places to visit, including the many castles, ruins and temples that exist in there.
and like you've said above, cyrpus has been the crossroads between the west and the east, which makes it even more unique.
but, apart from cyprus, you should also visit greece, for it is a great country, filled with many great things to see in there: from ancient temples, to fortifications, to medieval castles, to endless cultural sights to behold...
not to mention our great museums as well, and the good greek cuisine (which is similar to your cuisine, both in taste and in (top) quality).
and hey, greece is right next to italy, so it wouldnt even be far...
