## Gold Mines

**Gold Mines**

- Each Gold Mine will hold a deposit of 100.000 Gold

- If your citizenship country owns a Mine, you can explore it daily and find a variable amount of Gold

- The Mine can be explored until the Gold has been depleted

**Gold Mines competition**

- The Gold Mines competition is based on a new ranking: Citizenship Damage

- Five countries will receive a Gold Mine based on a contest held for 7 days between Day 1952 and Day 1958

- During this period, when you fight in ANY battle (even if your citizenship country is not involved in it) your damage will be added to the ranking as damage done by your citizenship country

- In this ranking, the world has been divided into 5 main areas: Europe, Asia, America, Oceania and Africa

- The country with the highest damage from each main area wins the contest and therefore a Gold Mine

- The Mines will be awarded within 24 hours after the end of the contest

- The Mines will be located in the real life capital of the winning countries

**Where I can see the Gold Mines**

- The Gold Mines will appear on the country page of the countries that own one of the 5 Gold Mines, and from here you can check the Gold remaining in the Mine

- The same information is available on the page of the regions with a Gold Mine

- The Gold Mines will be visible on the map, with 3 different icons depending on the remaining deposit of Gold in the Mine

**Gold Mines - How do I explore it**

- A citizen can explore the Mine if his citizenship country has a region with a Gold Mine

- A citizen can explore the Gold Mine daily, with the cost of only 10 Energy, by going to "My places"

- In “My places” there will be an “Explore” button which can be used once a day. After using it, the citizen receives a variable sum of Gold, between 0.3 Gold and 40 Gold

- When a citizen explores the Gold Mine, the amount of Gold he receives is withdrawn from the Gold Mine deposit

- When a citizen explores the Gold Mine, the country receives 0.1 Gold for every exploration, no matter what the citizen received

- The sum that goes to the country is also withdrawn from the Gold Mine deposit

- If a country owns two or more Gold Mines, the deposit of the Gold Mines is cumulated

- If the country has two or more Gold Mines, the Gold withdrawn at each exploration is equally divided between the Gold Mines

- The amount received by the citizens and the countries at each exploration is not influenced by the number of Mines owned

- A citizen can explore the mine if it has at least level 22

**Airstrike**

- Citizens are able to donate food and currency in order to start an Airstrike

- The formulas have been updated keeping into account the currency exchange rates and the food prices

- The donations for the Airstrike will be available for at least one month

- Regions with Gold Mines can be attacked directly via the Airstrike, just like any other region (as long as the conditions for launching the Airstrike are met).

Spring Hunt - Full details

**Edit Day 2,345 6:30 eRepublik time**: Please note that in order to get the individual Decorations, apart from defeating the Evil Bunny, you also need to finish the whole mission!

**Edit Day 2,345 4:00 eRepublik time**: We're aware that some of you are experiencing issues with lost Prestige Points. We're looking into this!

**Edit Day 2,345 0:15 eRepublik time**: Few players might have a wrong citizenship when checking the leaderboards. It occurs only for those who changed their citizenship in the last couple of days. This will be fixed in the following hours. No damage is lost.

Spring Hunt begins on Day 2,345 and lasts for a week, until the end of Day 2,351. During the Hunt citizens can complete missions, and compete for rewards in different categories. Both individual and group effort count.

If you reach the final mission, you might get a chance to face the Evil Bunny, and try to defeat him with a special weapon: the Poisoned Carrot!

As a special treat, citizens will earn a Carrot every 25 kills, after defeating the Henchmen. Each Carrot can be used to restore 50 Energy. The Carrots will appear on the frontpage, and can be collected easily.

**Please note that**:

- Carrots will expire at the end of Day 2,358

- One click of the “Collect” button will collect all the Carrots. The other rewards of the Weekly Challenge will be collected separately, as always.

- In order to access the final mission, all the other missions have to be completed

- Weekly Leaderboards will feature a special “Henchmen Defeated” leaderboard, which can be viewed nationally and globally

**National rewards**

Countries with the biggest number of players in the top 100 of the __international__ Henchmen Defeated leaderboard will receive:

- 1st place: +1 Determination Bonus for 10 days in all battles

- 2nd place: +1 Determination Bonus for 10 days when attacking

- 3rd place: + 0.5 Determination Bonus for 10 days when attacking

Please note that if many countries will have the same amount of players in top 100, they share the position. For example, it’s possible that both Finland and Sweden end up on 1st place with 6 citizens in top 100, Denmark and Germany on 2nd place with 5 citizens and Norway on 3rd place with 4 citizens.

**Military Unit rewards**

Military Units with the biggest number of players in the top 100 of the __national__ Henchmen Defeated leaderboard will receive:

- 1st place: Each member will receive 40% of the Carrots the specific member earned during the Spring Hunt

- 2nd place: Each member will receive 30% of the Carrots the specific member earned during the Spring Hunt

- 3rd place: Each member will receive 20% of the Carrots the specific member earned during the Spring Hunt

For example, if a Danish Military Unit ended up having the 3rd most members in the Danish top 100 of Henchmen Defeated leaderboard, and a Danish player of that Military Unit earned 400 Carrots during the event, he will win an extra prize of 80 Carrots.

Please note that many Military Units can end up on 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, just like in the National rewards example above.

Please note also that if you want to contribute on the potential rewards your Military Unit members earn, your citizenship must match with the location of your Military Unit! For example, if you have a Swedish citizenship, but you’re in a German Military Unit, your effort won’t count. **Decorations**

- Top Hunter: Be one of the first 100 citizens (globally) who defeated the Evil Bunny, **and finished the final mission**

- Hunter: Defeat the Evil Bunny and complete the final mission before the end of Spring Hunt

- Henchmen Exterminator: Ranked 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the __national__ Henchmen Defeated leaderboard (meaning 3 Decorations are given per country)

**Currency rewards**

Top 10 of the __international__ Henchmen Defeated leaderboard will receive currency based on their performance during the Spring Hunt:

- 1st place: 1 currency for each Prestige Point

- 2nd place: 0.5 currency for each Prestige Point

- Places 3-5: 0.25 currency for each Prestige Point

- Places 6-10: 0.01 currency for each Prestige Point

**Q&A**

Q: My citizenship doesn’t match with the country of my Military Unit. What will happen?

A: Your effort won’t count for your Military Unit, but you’re still eligible for the rewards other members gain. Even if you end up in Top 100 of your country, your effort only counts for the country, not the Military Unit.

Q: I’m in Division 1, am I supposed to fight with the big guys?

A: Apart from the rewards of the Weekly Challenge, the leaderboards are common for all Divisions, as it’s based on hits, not damage.

Q: If I’m amongst the first 100 citizens who defeated the Evil Bunny, will I get both Top Hunter and Hunter Decorations?

A: No, the Decorations are excluding each other so you can’t win both.

Q: What happens if I change my Military Unit or Citizenship during the tournament?

A: Simply put, nothing. You can change both, but it won't have any kind of effect on the event.

Spring Hunt - First details

On Day 2,345 it’s time for a Spring Hunt! More details will follow later, but please read a few important points below.

Apart from the individual fun, the performance of Military Units’ members from the country of the Military Unit will play an important role.

If you want to contribute on the potential rewards your Military Unit members earn, your citizenship must match with the location of your Military Unit! For example, if you have a Swedish citizenship, but you’re in a German Military Unit, your effort won’t count. However you can still receive rewards won by the other members of your Military Unit.

If you wish to change your citizenship, you may do so until Day 2,344 23:55 eRepublik time. Changing the Military Unit after Day 2,341 8:00 eRepublik time won’t affect the Spring Hunt. If you weren’t a member of any Military Unit at that time, you will not be able to contribute to the Military Units part of the Spring Hunt. But worry not, there’s plenty to do for everyone!

National Shield 2

- The tournament will start on Day 2,310 and last until the end of Day 2,316

- Each citizen can fight to reach and even surpass damage targets which are calculated based on their current military skills and presented as percentages

- Each country has its own target milestones based on its military capability

- Citizens can see their progress, along with the progress of their citizenship country, on the homepage

- Citizens and countries are rewarded based on their performance

**Please note that:**

- Damage done with regular weapons and in Guerrilla Fights will count normally

- However, **damage done with bazookas, bombs or rockets will NOT count for the tournament**

**Rankings**

- Every country has a citizen ranking based on citizens’ performance in reaching their targets

- Citizens are divided into 2 groups: young citizens (level 1-24) and more experienced citizens (level 25+)

- Country rankings is based on countries’ performance in reaching their targets

- The rankings are updated every 20 minutes

- If a citizen is permanently banned during the tournament, the damage is removed from all rankings

An example:

- Player A has a target of 100 000 damage and does 500 000 damage; Percentage in the rankings: 500%

- Player B has a target of 500 000 damage and does 1 000 000 damage; Percentage in the rankings: 200%

- Player A will be above Player B in the rankings, despite the fact that Player B did more damage

- The example can also be applied to country rankings

**Individual rewards**

Decorations:

- Top 3 citizens in every country (level 1-24)

- Top 50 citizens in every country (level 1-24)

- Top 3 citizens in every country (level 25+)

- Top 50 citizens in every country (level 25+)

Players will also be rewarded when reaching certain targets:

- 100% -> 25 Strength

- 110 % -> +50 Energy Center for 7 days

- 125% -> X Rank points (the value varies)

- 150% -> +50% Damage Booster for 8 hours

- 200% -> 30 Energy Bars

- 300 % -> +50 Energy Center for 30 days

- 500% -> +50% Damage Booster for 24 hours

- 750% -> 50 Energy Bars

- 1 000% -> 30 Gold

- 1 500% -> +100 Energy Center for 30 days

- 2 000% -> 60 Energy Bars

- 2 500% -> +50% Damage Booster for 24 hours

At the end of the tournament, every country will also get a **Defence Shield** based on its position in the rankings:

- Positions 1 - 10: Quality 7 Defence Shield (10 billion damage)

- Positions 11 - 20: Quality 6 Defence Shield (8 billion damage)

- Positions 21 - 30: Quality 5 Defence Shield (6 billion damage)

- Positions 31 - 40: Quality 4 Defence Shield (4 billion damage)

- Positions 41 - 50: Quality 3 Defence Shield (3 billion damage)

- Positions 51 - 60: Quality 2 Defence Shield (2 billion damage)

- Positions 61 - 70: Quality 1 Defence Shield (1 billion damage)

Furthermore, Top 3 Countries will also receive an **Economical boost for their production of weapons, food and raw materials**:

- 1st position: 60% Productivity bonus for 7 days

- 2nd position: 40% Productivity bonus for 7 days

- 3rd position: 20% Productivity bonus for 7 days
