Day 2,421

New World Cup Final

New World Cup Final is, as the name suggests, a final for the winners of the New World Cup: Argentina, Chile, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia and Turkey. However, the tournament will also include a Global competition for all countries, regardless of being in the final or not.

- The tournament will start on Day 2,422 and last until the end of Day 2,428
- Each citizen can fight to reach and even surpass damage targets, which are calculated based on their current military skills, and presented as percentages
- Each country has its own target milestones based on its military capability
- Citizens can see their progress, along with the progress of their citizenship country, on the homepage
- Citizens and countries are rewarded based on their performance

Please note that:
- Citizens will represent the country they are a citizen of on Day 2,421 23:59 eRepublik time. Any later citizenship changes will not count for the tournament.
- Damage done with regular weapons and in Guerrilla Fights will count normally
- However, damage done with Bazookas, Bombs or Rockets will NOT count for the tournament


The Final

The 9 finalists will take part in a separate competition that will have it’s own ranking. They can win special prizes as follows:
- First place: 150,000 Gold Mine
- Second place: 75,000 Gold Mine
- Third place: 50,000 Gold Mine

If a finalist manages to get to Top 5 in the Global competition, their Gold Mine prize will be doubled.


Global competition

Rankings

- Every country has a citizen ranking based on citizens’ performance in reaching their targets
- Citizens are divided into 2 groups: young citizens (level 1-34) and more experienced citizens (level 35+). Citizen levelling up to another group in the middle of the tournament won’t have any effect, as he will remain in the original group.
- Country rankings is based on countries’ performance in reaching their targets
- The rankings are updated every 20 minutes
- If a citizen is permanently banned during the tournament, the damage is removed from all rankings

An example:
- Player A has a target of 100 000 damage and does 500 000 damage; Percentage in the rankings: 500%
- Player B has a target of 500 000 damage and does 1 000 000 damage; Percentage in the rankings: 200%
- Player A will be above Player B in the rankings, despite the fact that Player B did more damage
- The example can also be applied to country rankings

Individual rewards

Decorations:
- Top 3 citizens in every country (level 1-34)
- Top 50 citizens in every country (level 1-34)
- Top 3 citizens in every country (level 35+)
- Top 50 citizens in every country (level 35+)

Players will also be rewarded when reaching certain targets:

- 100% -> 25 Strength
- 110 % -> 10 Gold
- 125% -> 10 Energy Bars
- 150% -> +50% Damage Booster for 2 hours
- 200% -> 30 Energy Bars
- 300 % -> Rank Points (doubles the Rank Points gained in the Tournament so far)
- 500% -> +50% Damage Booster for 2 hours
- 750% -> 50 Energy Bars
- 1 000% -> 30 Gold
- 1 500% -> +100 Energy Center for 30 days
- 2 000% -> 60 Energy Bars
- 2 500% -> +50% Damage Booster for 2 hours
- 3 000% -> 70 Energy Bars
- 4 000% -> 80 Energy Bars
- 5 000% -> 60 Gold
- 6 000% -> 100 Energy Bars
- For every 1 000% more -> 100 Energy Bars

Country rewards

Countries will be rewarded when reaching and surpassing targets:

- 100% -> 200 Gold
- 110% -> 75 Gold
- 125% -> 100 Gold
- 150% -> 125 Gold
- 200% -> 150 Gold
- 300% -> 175 Gold
- 500% -> 200 Gold
- 750% -> 250 Gold
- 1 000% -> 500 Gold
- 1 500% -> 750 Gold
- 2 000% -> 1 000 Gold
- 2 500% -> 1 500 Gold
- 3 000% -> 2 000 Gold
- 4 000% -> 2 500 Gold
- 5 000% -> 3 000 Gold

- The Gold rewards will be added to the country treasuries when reaching the target.


At the end of the tournament, every country will also get a Defence Shield based on its position in the rankings:

- Positions 1 - 5: Quality 7 Defence Shield (10 billion damage)
- Positions 6 - 10: Quality 6 Defence Shield (8 billion damage)
- Positions 11 - 20: Quality 5 Defence Shield (6 billion damage)
- Positions 21 - 30: Quality 4 Defence Shield (4 billion damage)
- Positions 31 - 40: Quality 3 Defence Shield (3 billion damage)
- Positions 41 - 50: Quality 2 Defence Shield (2 billion damage)
- Positions 51+: Quality 1 Defence Shield (1 billion damage)

Furthermore, Top 3 Countries will also receive an Economical boost for their production of weapons, food and raw materials:

- 1st position: 60% Productivity bonus for 7 days
- 2nd position: 40% Productivity bonus for 7 days
- 3rd position: 20% Productivity bonus for 7 days

Missions clarification

The missions that were released today have caused a lot of questions, so we would like to clear a few things up.

- The missions are permanent and they don’t have to be completed in a certain period of time.
- Completing the missions won’t give you a Decoration.
- The rules still apply, and articles considered as spam, flaming etc. will be penalized.

Day 2,465

Kill Rush tournament

EDIT Day 2,466 5:30 eRepublik Time: Bombs and Rockets don't count for the Military Unit damage, but Bazookas and Guerrilla Fights do.


- Kill Rush tournament starts on Day 2,471 and lasts for 3 days, until the end of Day 2,473.
- Citizens contribute with damage to the Military Unit and Division they are in at the beginning of the tournament. Moving to other Military Units or advancing to a higher Division will not affect the Damage Leaderboard; the player will keep contributing to his initial Military Unit and Division.

- Citizens contribute with kills to the Regiment he is in at the time of executing the kill. A player can move to another Regiment (even to one in another Military Unit) but his previous kills will still count in the leaderboards for his old Regiment. This means that a citizen can contribute with kills to multiple Regiments in multiple Military Units. Remember that this does NOT cancel the damage rule above.
- The citizen will only receive prizes according to the Regiment he is in at the time when the prizes are being awarded.

- If a citizen is not a member of any Military Unit when the Kill Rush starts, the damage and kills will count for the first Military Unit he joins. Damage and kills done before joining, however, won’t count.
- Accounts created on Day 2,465 or after won’t be able to participate or win individual prizes in the tournament.


Military Unit Competition

Individual rewards

In order to be eligible for the individual rewards, citizens need to do at least 250 kills during the tournament.

If a Military Unit gets multiple positions in different Divisions in its country, the rewards are combined. Please note that one Division can only win prizes from one group (called Division category in the picture).

For example, if a Polish Military Unit POW finishes 5th in Division 4 ranking in Poland (doing 95% of the damage of the winning Military Unit in that Division), and finishes 1st in Division 3, a contributing player from Division 4 will receive:
- 3 days of -99% Training Contract
- 5 +50% Damage Boosters of 20 minutes

- The timer of any current Training Contract owned by a citizen will freeze for the duration of the new -99% Training Contract. After the new contract expires, the old contract will be resumed.
- Players above level 201 will receive Energy Bars instead of Training Contract days.

Individual Decorations

During the Kill Rush, Citizens can earn unique Decorations for their profiles.

- If the Military Unit is ranked 1st in the Damage Leaderboard for Division X in its country, all the Divison X members will get a Decoration on their profile.
- If the Military Unit is ranked 2nd in the Damage Leaderboard for Division X in its country, all the Divison X members will get a Decoration on their profile.
- If the Military Unit is ranked 3rd in the Damage Leaderboard for Division X in its country, all the Divison X members will get a Decoration on their profile.
- A Decoration for every member of the top 25 Regiments in the world (ranking is based on kills).


Military Unit rewards

Military Units will receive points for their position in the country leaderboards of Damage in all 4 divisions:
- For each 1st place: 5 points
- For each 2nd place: 2 points
- For each 3rd place: 1 point

Each point will result in the Military Unit winning more currency to its account. The currency reward is calculated using the following formula:
(Points / 30) * Number of kills during the tournament

For example, if a Military Unit gets 8 points and defeats 60,000 opponents, their reward will be 16,000 currency. With 0 points, no matter how many kills the unit does, the reward will be 0 currency.


Military Unit Decorations
- A Decoration for the Military Unit dealing the highest amount of damage in Division X, in country Y
- A Decoration for the Military Unit dealing the 2nd highest amount of damage in Division X, in country Y
- A Decoration for the Military Unit dealing the 3rd highest amount of damage in Division X, in country Y


Regiment Competition

Apart from the rewards given based on Military Unit’s performance on a national scale, a separate international Regiment Leaderboard can be found in the Weekly Leaderboards. The ranking will be based on kills.

The prize pool is following:
- Plato’s base prize: 5 000 Gold
- Player generated prize: 50 more Gold for every 1 000 kills done by citizens born before Day 2,465 during the tournament

The best Regiments will split the prize pool in the following fashion:

1) Gold Tier - 1st place and Regiments achieving 90% or more of the kills the 1st Regiment did will split 50% of the prize pool
2) Silver Tier - Regiments achieving 80% or more of the kills the 1st Regiment did will split 30% of the prize pool
3) Bronze Tier - Regiments achieving 70% or more of the kills the 1st Regiment did will split 15% of the prize pool
4) Mentions - Regiments achieving 50% or more of the kills the 1st Regiment did will split 5% of the prize pool

Please note that a Regiment can only win prizes from one tier. For example, a Regiment doing 82% of the kills the 1st Regiment of the international leaderboard did will only belong to Silver Tier.

Day 2,458

Changes to Military Units

We would like to announce the following changes to the way Military Units work:

1) Starting today, Captain Elections no longer exist. Instead, Military Unit Commanders will be able to appoint Captains, as long as the Regiment has 20 or more full members. This option will also be available for the 2nd Commanders.
2) Commanders and 2nd Commanders will be able to move soldiers between Regiments directly.

These changes will be effective starting now, and will allow you to manage and coordinate your Military Units better. The changes are the first step towards Military Units taking a bigger role in the game.

How to Raise an Empire missions

The missions start on Day 2,450 and last until the end of Day 2,456.

Apart from other prizes, Citizens can earn 2 Decorations:
- “Empire Builder” Decoration for completing the “Campaign of the Day” mission
- “Hero for an Empire” Decoration for completing the “National Hero” mission

In order to get the Decorations, the missions have to be completed before the end of Day 2,456.

Day 2,437

Double referral gold for inviting your friends

Referrals registering in eRepublik between Day 2,438 and the end of Day 2,445 will give their referrer (the one inviting them) a double referral Gold bonus! New citizens registered during this time period will grant their referrers 20% of their earned Gold from achievements, Gold purchases or level ups.

- The referral Gold includes, as before, Gold from levelling up, achievements and Gold purchases for real life money.
- The referral gold bonus lasts as long as the referral is in the game. In other words, after the promotion is over, you will still receive 20% of the Gold your referrals earn.

Please notice that the referral has to be level 10 or higher to grant double Gold as a bonus.


Examples:

Player A invites Citizen X during the promotion.
- Citizen X is level 8 and wins a Battle Hero, therefore he receives 2 Gold. Player A will receive 0.2 Gold as always, because Citizen Y hasn’t reached level 10 yet.
- A few days later, Citizen Y gets to level 12 and earns 1 Gold for the level up. Player A will receive 0.2 Gold. If Citizen Y also wins another Battle Hero, Player A will receive 0.4 Gold.
