Yes, I'm speaking of the nation from a expansive chronolgical view, as in the US fights many proxy wars but not enough all out landgrabs. And if anybody has a problem with social interaction it's you buddy. Coming off to someone full steam ahead on the dick train is not a great way to present ones self.

The discussion seems like a moot point. The eUSA Army is still trying to get organized into an effective fighting force. The attempted invasion of the Azores confirms it. The trouble with being such a large army is the inherent lack of coordination. The USA has always suffered a lack of command and control. You have players stretched out across four time zones, not counting Hawaii and Alaska. It can take upwards of a day for players to get the message that it's time to attack. The invasion of the Azores was dead in the water. Over before it even began, literally.
Sure, the war on Portugal is a loosing proposition for the USA. But it is fun. Fun not in the sense that loosing is fun, but fun in that we're doing something more than working, training, and bickering over how best to fix the economy. It is a distraction. One that has another purpose. Even in loosing, a soldier gains fighting experience. That in turns gets soldiers to a higher rank, thus making them a more effective fighting force. So in a sense, the war with Portugal is only a training exercise. Expect more battles to come. |

Ok so anyway back to discussing. If warfare has no actual deaths then fighting can only be positive. Even If a region or 2 is lost their will continue to be resistance fighters... America is too proud to die. Oh and while all of these wars are happening the American people are getting stronger everyday by fighting.

@BigDrew : Good point.
Maybe that's what the eUSA needs: an invasion. Nothing will unite such a politically diverse country as the eUSA quite like an invasion on American soil. I think it would even get the peace-niks off their soap boxes and fighting. With everyone united to defend the country, everyone will gain battle experience plus a Wellness boost from the Q4 and Q5 Hospitals. This should be of greatest benefit to the new players. Now if only someone would tell them how to take advantage of this bonanza if it comes. |
