Why we should listen to Kita Ikki
Akki
Our nation now wanders through the troubled times, suffering from inactivity and PTO. Our media is a shamble. Partly we, the citizens of eJapan, are all at fault; we got lazy and allowed this nation to fall into bitter inactivity, a bottomless pit of hell which seems to have no way out. We have political problem caused by recent loss of SOS Bridge, the second largest party of eJapan, to foreign hands. This calls for national urgency while a silent is kept from our president who has not commented on the media regarding this national crisis.
There are many citizens trying to solve this problem. Many are trying to contribute greatly to save eJapan from mass extinction or political take over from Indonesians who holds grudge against this nation. Yonsil has aggressively tried to make eJapan understand that we have to do something to solve this issue. Shinybluepope has started to make a call out to current congressmen to come to forum so that we as a nation can start coordinating ATO. Many other people are working also to solve this issue. The effort is good; however, perhaps we are not doing this right. Perhaps this may not be enough to stop PTOers from taking over this nation. Skepticism runs high; in such event, perhaps we should listen to the 3rd option: a forgotten voice from Kita Ikki.
On the article here, http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/last-resort-1520302/1/20 , calling for Japanese to fight against Indonesian PTO, Kita Ikki offers great suggestion to this nation trying to survive. I thought there was something that we can learn from Kita Ikki by listening to him more. While we, the citizens of eJapan know why we should really ignore him, perhaps there is something to take from his comments.

Kita Ikki wrote:
“I heard this sort of thing about the horde of eNorth Koreans who come to "improve" eJapan in July/August '09. They were better organized the new eIndo group who is winning elections in the last few weeks, and eventually most of the eNorth Koreans got bored with eRep and quit or went back to eNorth Korea.
The best strategy isn't to cave in to either side--our "Bros" are pretty much as bad as the Indonesians, just as likely to use multis and ironically even more likely to report everyone else for using them.
(Perhaps we can get an "Aogo: True Story / TRSV: Protip / Afanasiy Drago: you're a n00b who does not know how to play the game" comment or two here to confirm the veracity of the above statements?)
The best strategy is to build up a group of eJapanese who don't care about the nonsense superpower politics and care only about eJapan, then quit caving in to either side.”

What an inspiring word coming from Kita Ikki. There is so many things that he stress in here that we can use. His love for this nation is clear and overwhelms any good readers who read this. Basically he is calling for eJapan to give up trying to survive in erepublik. Yes give up. You fancy that. What a great little suggestion to an nation that have so many citizens who wish to abandon this game and use it for something more productive.
As for Kita’s first point, words fail to describe how much I agree with him. Indeed, as Kita says, eNorth Koreans PTOed eJapan. What a terrible time was that. Because North Koreans came, mass hysteria in eJapan put a terrible president into office from August 6, 2009 to October 5, 2009 and also from January 6, 2010 to February 5, 2010. This was all because of eNorth Korean PTO. That definitely destroyed eJapan until some dedicated citizens of eJapan (including some old eJapanese players and former North Koreans) began to reconstruct this nation. Eventually eNorth Koreans took over eJapan, removing incapable people (like the president we had from January 6, 2010 to February 5, 2010) and replacing it with media activity, military activity, and economic stability. As Kita recalls here, it was terrible times indeed.
Second point Kita raises is a good one too. What we should do is to not call for help and just keep everything to ourselves. Yes, let Indo PTOers to come in. I mean they all have citizenship right? That means they are eJapanese. Why should we deny those eJapanese anyways and call for Americans to come into eJapan? That is unacceptable! History tells us that calling for other nations won’t help. eJapan historically was almost PTOed by independent Iranian organization back in the December of the 2008. It only took some coordinated mobile voters from PEACE to solve this issue which was first catastrophe for eJapan. We all learned our mistakes from there: don’t rely on foreign country to provide voters because they work. I repeat; like Kita says, it’s not good idea for our nation to rely on something that works. Any monkey knows this is true. Instead we should do what we know won’t work and just pray to gods (yes plural) that some supernatural powers saves this nation.
The third and final point Kita makes is the most inspirational one. We should build force in eJapan using eJapanese who wants this country in new-isolation (Shin-Sakoku) from foreign affairs. We’ll form group of people, perhaps 3 or 5 people large, to combat foreign PTO group with more than 25 voters. GENIUS, YES WE CAN! I mean smaller group can beat larger one right? All we need to do is to somehow have more votes than the large group can amass. In the end, we’ll end up with people who will love Japan. We’ll stop immigration too to stop people from destroying this ultimate unity. We’ll lock out anyone who doesn’t love Japan or are originally from other nations (who are about 90% of the active population). We’ll forever live in a new paradise where eJapan will have 1 article in the media and one forum post per month, and empty IRC room filled with inactives. In the end, we will have “a group of eJapanese who don't care about the nonsense superpower politics and care only about eJapan.” How great would this nation be if becomes reality?
These three points alone makes good argument for why eJapan should listen to Kita Ikki. There are terribly good idea. His ideas could save this nation and reshape this nation. Why won’t anyone want to listen to him? Like Kita says, there is no such thing as Indonesian PTO. PTO is a lie which is spread by FoH to gain evermore influence. FoH is evil, which means Indo who is taking this country from FoH is good. Only idiots would ever fault Kita’s ideas.
Now people of eJapan, meet future of eJapan supported by Kita Ikki…
Genius.

KITA is a butt pass it around.
VOTE VOTE VOTE
To be honest, I somehow like KITA's viewpoint. Supernation eJapan is like a dream, nice to have and think of in times of peace. But some dreams can't be turned into reality.
KITA doesn't seem to acknowledge that truly independent and strong eJapan is nearly impossible in eRepublik, where we are one of smaller and inactive nations. We could win against another small eCountry, but when it comes to army of bots or eCountry with thousands of eCitizens, we need allies.
If we had 10 000 citizens and at least additional 1500 who cared, then maybe we'd be able to stand our ground without outside help. But as eJapan looks now, with its 1019 citizens (some with malicious intent) and severe lack of activity, it can't be done.
Having said that, I don't condemn KITA's idea. But currently we don't really have time or resources to explore it further.
For a strong eJapan! Voted.
I'd vote a few more times if I could.
Akki is awesome.

AKKI FOR PRESIDENT!
PS--voted, for good debate!
PPS--DameTsuna, it has become regrettably apparent, over the last two months especially, that eJapan suffers from severe inactivity that possibly renders having an independent eJapan impossible.
Realistically a country needs 30-40 highly active citizens to fill all the positions: CP, at least 20-30 congressmen who make informed votes, several ministers to conduct diplomacy and warfare, run state training companies, etc. as well as active party presidents to establish clear party lines and give voters a real choice other than "IRC faction A versus secret forum group B." I have always tried to present voters another option besides "Phoenix or Bro/Eden?" since both groups are undemocratic in their operation and always have been.
Idealism tempered with realism.... eJapan needs a balance.
You're overestimating our strength, KITA, as always. Also, I arrived here last year along with those other eUSA people, and you're saying I had an ulterior motive? I was here for eJapan, but I fought for Dokomo.
KITA Ikki obviously does not understand the difference between anecdotal and effective evidence. "Here's a video where I fought on Japan's wall in battle I R BETTER" is not a successful argument. Claiming that the only reason the "FoH crowd" came was to acquiesce to the United States is woefully under supported. What were they doing for months and months before? Or months and months after? What else did they do? All of these questions, you ignore, because you'd rather wear your horse blinders, look at 3% of the truth, and claim you have the whole picture. There rest of us know better, as is being pointed out by the comments and other articles in the media. I must say though; good show on boosting activity: nothing brings out the masses like a successful troll, right, KINDA ICKY?

Haha... 99.9% of the FOHers never even belonged to eUSA. Also, to say FOHers were not here to better Japan... Wow... Are you seriously that dumb? The majority of our time and wealth has been tied up here in Japan. You are a complete moron.
PS: Oh and Kita, don't try your Japan first bull-shit on me.
I've been in eJapan for all my eLife and have yet to leave this country. I'm bore here as well and have seen this nation for longer than you have. There is always choice available in eJapan; you are just not seeing it.
Japan-First policy works as well. I've advocated it in the past. However, you still need to work with foreign relations and can't hide into your own shell of isolation just because foreign affairs looks scarily. A true idea behind Japan-First policy (the term I used in the past when I was president) is to focus first on well being of eJapan and work foreign affairs in a way that it will benefit Japan in the long run and maintains stability and peace from exterior force that Japan can spend its effort within domestic problems. It's not philosophy to go into complete isolation. It's very different from Shin-Sakoku Philosophy or Righteous Nation Philosophy coined by others.
You're my hero, Akki
You're my hero, Akki x2
Also, inb4 Kita brings up my debacle during my sixth consecutive term of MoD. I doubt it has any relevance here, but since SOMEONE, not mentioning any names here, likes to retort with ad hominims, I figured Id drop that one myself to take the bite out of it.
I like how Kita insists that he's 'right', even though everyone else here thinks otherwise.
If we had a functional Imperial Court, Kita would make a decent court jester.
Note: and yet While Kita claims it is truth, Kita bases 3 month of my service to Kokawayoshi Administration (May to July) to assume everything (25 Month and counting Kita) of my political career. There were enough money being spent on military at the time (note the war game) with no source of sensible income at the time.
Learn to be flexible Kita; no wonder everyone sensible and active in Japan disagrees with you. It can only be done through enough flexibility to run any successful nation and Presidency longer than a month.

"I was also an eJapanese citizen back then and remember the lack of articles/information distributed via in-game articles"
Perhaps because you failed to be active on the forum, even back then? We only took actives back then into the military, which meant forum participation. We didn't take anyone for granted since it was going to be mobile force after all.
-
Also Kita, you can't prove anything 100% here about my time during president and neither can I. The forum we used back then is dead. Trying to prove anything on how my Administration was (4 consecutive month from January to April of 200😎 from the current eJapan forum is nothing more than misinformation. The current forum is only as old as from the May of the 2008.
Also, Kita, don’t side step the fact you love this foreign PTO by bringing up history. We all know how little love or care you have left for this nation (which surprises me why you are still here). You’ve written it well yourself here: http://nipponblog.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=50736#p50736
@KITA: Actually you're wrong again. Yes there is a forum... that forum has been unused for any real eRep communications for at least 6 months or longer... (and no, you won't get access to it).
Anyway, you're thickheaded if you think everyone from the FOH forum is merely a puppet following the "leadership".
I have no idea how well our communication was with eUSA, people like Drago had a lot of friends over there... but Drago never came to Japan for any long duration.
The FOH people worked together - that's what makes social games fun - to work with friends etc goes a long way in making things interesting - we didn't always agree on everything and didn't always have the same goals.
I can tell you that the eNK group of FoHers and the eJapan FoHers normally always had different plans and goals.
Must suck to be lonely and hated. How is it so hard for you to realize people can have friends in many places without each one being a part of the same "scheme"?.
I can tell you, most FOHers were here to build Japan up. Not tear it down.
You're just bitter cause you have no friends.
It's already been said, but I'll say it again. For my part, during the 5th and 6th month of my MoD position, fewer and fewer people were checking in to the military, until finally, even with articles and shouts, no one was requesting weapons. Had there been a request for weapons, I would have gladly handed them out, but people stopped asking. What was I to do, KITA, toss guns at dead players? What a waste. You can't fix other people's inactivity, KITA. And that's only for about a month or two, the previous 4 months had a significant amount of activity, an weapons being donated to dozens of citizens. You can't have your argument both ways, there, buddy.
In response to your comments about Rereiru, let me tell you, that girl puts her heart and soul into this game. She's been in contact with me at least once a week for months about gathering intel and mobilizing support for ATO, so I'd kindly ask you to shove off on topics you obviously know nothing about.
