Just a few months ago a mighty battle was raging across the Atlantic and 2 innocent, wholly unsuspecting countries were fighting for their lives against innumerable odds. I believe all of us know who those countries were and we certainty know who their belligerents were but for those of us who do not, those two countries were the USA and Canada and their aggressors were Hungary, Russia, Indonesia and a quarter dozen other nations seeking to capitalize off the fall of two great democracies. But that wasn't to be, eventually those two nations prevailed, democracy prevailed, and the lurid hordes of expansionist gluttons were repelled, and beaten they returned to their layers to lick their wounds and plot incursions to come. This is where our fair Austria enters and Slovakia too.

With Hungary (Russia and Indonesia too) expunged from the Americas after such a successful campaign its leaders began to rethink what I call the "piecemeal strategy", and began to focus on a more incremental approach to 'mass' conquest. They began focusing on matters closer to home and nations much weaker than the US or Canada that could be 'absorbed' into their husk of a nation. They began to focus on Slovakia and our dear Austria (the Czechs as well) and just how they could coarse us into their planned super state. And guess what? They determined they could not and the only way to build this state was through good old fashioned conquest but there was one thing they could not have expected and that was the overwhelming response of our and over a half dozen other nations people.

When the Hungarian tanks came storming over our borders they found not only our own (admittedly depleted force) but that of a willing international coalition, they very one the fought before, waiting for them and their sordid force. The brave men and women of this coalition fought like tigers to smother the flames of aggression, and eventually they persevered and the Hun was repelled once more, expelled from our lands, hopefully till judgement day, and this began our second conflict. The war of Slovakian liberation, and in my opinion Austria's finest hour. When we came out of our shell and finally began to fight for our beliefs and standing at the head of a league of some 6 nations, we took the first step towards Empire. This, all due to the actions of 1 abhorrent nation, Hungary and kudos to them for that.

This all leads to why we must fight and well...why must we fight?

We must fight because our very livelihood depends on it, if Hungary wins this war our very nation will be torn form beneath us and this wonderful dream that is Austria will be extinguished indefinitely, and the people we have toiled so hard to save at Burgenland, our people, will be reduced to little more than slavery. We must fight because our future depends on it, out of this war can come a radiant Austrian Empire the likes of which Europe has not seen since the days of the early 19th century, our greatest days. We must fight because every morsel of national pride depends on it, on victory. We must fight because we were attacked by a merciless, unrepentant, foe who seeks our destruction for his own personal gain. We must fight because it was our honor that was attacked and that to a man, to a nation, is everything. We must fight because we must, this was thrown upon us, and it's now time we returned the favor, it's time.

Now, we fight.
