Why I Support Emerick For President

- Tons of experience in the game.

- A pretty cool guy who communicates well with the public.

- Can be trusted to assemble a good, solid team in a time of turmoil.

- Recognizes talent when he sees it.

- Isn't afraid to shake things up when they need to be shaken.

- The right combination of elite skills and libertarian sensibilities.

For what it's worth, I think he's the best guy for the job at this point.

So Why Did I Run For CP If I Support Emerick?

Mainly for the fun of it. And it has been tons of fun.

But all good things must come to an end.

What About the Other Candidates?

- I don't know Pfeiffer/Henry Arundel. I'm sure he's very capable and all, it just seems like his team is mainly the "old school gang". So, meh.

- Laxsnor seems like a good guy. Evry too. But wouldn't it be like having accountants running the country? Just sayin'.

- Lefty from Mulberry Street cracks me up. And yeah, I'm all for Freemasons taking over everything. 'bout time.

- George Pumpkinette is a national treasure.

- Pizza the Hut. Oh lord help me. Just say no.

About the SFP primary

As reported recently by outstanding Freedom Writer and SFP President Mark Valshannar, I won the SFP's party primary for PoTUS candidate on a write-in campaign and was then duly nominated as a CP candidate by the Socialist Freedom Party.

Despite my friend Macht Geil's delightful observation that the poll shows that "PQ is 7.1 percent more awesome than emerick" (LOL), and despite brother Deniz Kabus' equally heart-warming statement that "SFP and PQ are lovable" in this PoTUS Endorsement article, I feel it is necessary to point out that:

- I did not start this write-in campaign. In fact, I voted for Emerick in the primary polling.

- To anyone who asked, I made it clear that Emerick was my preferred choice as the next President.

- In my responses to Gnilraps' interview questions, I made it quite clear that I respect Emerick's capabilities as an Executive and his judgement in world affairs and I think he is a p cool character.

The SFP is a democratic and multi-tendency party. People have different opinions about the merits of various players, and about the degree to which the Party should support different Goverment policies and programs and so forth. For example, there was a lively debate over policy towards iNCi, among other things.

In general the SFP doesn't air its laundry in public. But perhaps some degree of explanation is in order to waylay any confusion.

This primary vote -- and the ensuing realization that I would encourage people to support Emerick's campaign -- led to a situation the Party had not previously encountered. It quickly became evident that the primary likely did not reflect the actual will of the party members. It seemed that the real plurality supported Emerick's candidacy, so a vote of the Revolutionary Committee -- the SFP's leading body -- was held to reconsider the veracity of the primary.

A majority of the RC voted to revise the results to indicate that Emerick was the SFP's preferred candidate. But it was not a unanimous vote. And the opposition to changing the results made some noteworthy points regarding inner-party democracy. That led, in turn, to a discussion on some of the finer points of the Party's Constitution, which are still continuing.

Meanwhile, election day draws nearer. So I have taken this somewhat unusual step of going public with this report on an internal party matter, as well as personally encouraging people to support Emerick's campaign for CP.

Hope that doesn't get me sent to re-education camp... again. That "How to write an article in under 10,000 words" session was murder.
