Why I quit.
Hello to my last few faithful subscribers and anyone out there who still frequents the new articles. I am quitting erepublik. As to why, part of it is getting older, realizing there's more to do outside of the internet. Reading a book, learning, doing a pull-up (or two), all fun activities to perform outside of said internet. Part of it is the degradation in quality of the game. Simply, it's not fun anymore. The admins have done away with any concept of "social strategy" All this game is now is war. War war war war, until the end of your days. War is the machine that runs this game, the only reason you do anything is for war. Everything about this game, money, resources, food, fuels the everlasting and neverending state of war this game runs on. It's the coal to this game's furnace, the very heart of Erepublik. I'm tired of it. I joined this game with the intent of actual strategy, tactics, something that isn't just one big circlejerking game of risk. I really did enjoy all of the good times this game gave me, all of the empires that rose and fell as I watched on. All of the personalities. It's all gone and dead now, consumed in the flames of war.
If you want to protest the game, make it change, stop playing. Only by halting production, halting fighting, halting everything, will the war ever end. Until then, I wish you all the best of luck.
Diospeed, my friends.
