I still reckon if DMV3 and Rylde ever worked together the world would crumble

DMV never got a chance to do his actual job. He did a great job throwing a spike into the wheel when the whole thing got blown up.

We need to agree on how we want to play the game going forward. I hate the dictatorship module but I'm probably just pissing into the wind trying to fight it.

Don't get all diplomatic he refused to do his job out of spite. He was doing it to annoy Rylde but the entirety of Congress was affected and that was just childish.

I'm not defending Ryldes actions but i also refuse to condemn him.

I refused to do my job because mechanically Rylde had robbed Congress of any say. Under our charter I believe his actions were illegal and I was not going to give the coup legitimacy by playing along with it.

Do you still not see what you did wrong? You made the speaker position a joke as well as making the forums useless.

Yes the dictatorship took our pressable buttons but you took our ability to do anything.

And because of my actions you have democracy and a say again. Sometimes it takes a short-term sacrifice for a greater good to be seen.

I'm not going to deny that I play the tyrant, I do and I do it quite well when it's necessary. The fact is at this time either me or Rylde could orchestrate a coup and there is little Canada could do to stop us because most of you won't step up and lead. This is your opportunity to do what is needed, we need you and people like you to stand in our way and say you're willing to lead Canada down a better path because if you don't either Rylde or myself can and will eventually take that ability out of your hands. Canada needs it's younger generation to step up and show them an alternative to us.

Now is the time to stand up and be counted. Now is thr time for leaders who can unite us, before Rylde or I decide it's time for our faction to take control out of your hands. Do you stand or will you sit back and watch? That's the all important question all Canadians need to ask themselves right now.

People don't step up and lead because they get slapped down by one or both of you when they try.

I may smack people around, but it's not to silence them it's to wake them up. You for one have shown you can be a reasonable person who could possibly bring both sides together. Stop being afraid to stand up, you might be surprised and get support from both sides.

Despite our differences me and Rylde agree on one thing, neither of us can control Canada for too long. We both realize leading eventually causes burn out and I believe right now neither of us want to lead, but neither of us wants the other to do it either. Use this time to nuture new leaders and show us a better way, show us Canada can survive without us constantly fighting one another.

Do you still not see what Rylde did was wrong? Why does he get to be the only asshole in this game?

No because of your actions the forums have once again become a joke , For months when i was in congress we fought to get the forums active and relevant again and you tore it all down to prove a point , Because one person pissed you off.

But the voting in game is the whole point of congress.

Rubbish. How many in game votes does the average Congress make? MPPs? They don't decided that. Taxes? Maybe every few months. War? Again, not usually Congress' call.

At this point, Congress is mostly around to keep the government accountable. Yes, that's harder to do during a dictatorship but you didn't even try because you thought that was the best strategy to fight it. I can certainly see why Majial disagrees to that.

I won't bother beating a dead horse with my opinion on this issue.

I read that and it made you look like a dictator in denial . We haven't had true political freedom in Canada for a long time it's all just a messed up popularity contest.

If you say so. Frankly, those of us in these power positions are here because we were active enough to do something while everyone else sat around. I came to Canada less than a year ago and within 1-2 months was part of the government for every month there on out. All it takes is a bit of perseverance.

All politics is a messed up popularity contest. Look at RL. Hopefully somewhere in the middle we find people who have at least a shred of honor and dignity left, but often we're simply left holding our noses and standing with the least evil of bad choices. Hopefully only temporarily.
