Why eHungary voted NO to the eFrench membership in PHOENIX?

Day 962, 13:32 Published in France Serbia by Voice of eHungary

The goal of the present paper is to make it clear, why did Hungary vote against the French joining to PHOENIX. As this voting means a veto, France does not become a PHX member at the moment. This paper has been written by lisztes, President of eHungary (English translation by Nalaja, the alliance liaison officer).

The whole story has been started a few weeks ago, when eFrance acquired its valuable high wood (now stone) region, Aquitaine, by the help of the PHX. Simultaneously, eHungary captured Rhone-Alps (also high stone region) from eSpain. Negotiations had been started earlier, and - it is hardly understanding to me - eFrance put the existence of a rental agreement between FR and HU as a pre-requisition to the campaign, which, I repeat, helped her to gain back a high region, Aquitaine from an arch-enemy. As the time pressed and the whole PHX HQ was impatient, eHungary nodded yes to a high rental fee to let the campaign begin.

After capturing both regions, the negotiations continued. Both sides took their positions: eFrance insisted to the pre-agreed high rental fee while eHungary wanted to decrease it. Now the real profit of Rhone-Alps for Hungary, and the possible profit for France are off-topic. Besides the material gains, societal consequences (eg. the re-immigrating land worker force) also exist, so I accept the rental solution as a long-term base of the good relations.

The agreement was finally signed by both the previous president and me (of course I wanted to see the issue closed and Rhual signed it because my request). I fully accept this agreement and during my presidental period we will pay for the rent of the region. But this is not only a material question to the present government but the whole incident was a sign to us - a notice.

The PHX helped to eFrance because they had plans with them: they want to incorporate this already pro-PHX country. Liberating eFrance was a good opportunity and I myself thinks with happy heart of the eFrench armies fighting at our side. However, their negotiation style and their ill-concealed greediness put us towards the negative vote. I don't want to give any rights in the alliance to them at the moment.

Our message is clear: we don't say NO to eFrance, we say NO to their entering to PHOENIX. These two things are totally different. As I wrote in my PM, I want good relations between our countries in the future, albeit not in the PHOENIX now. We were in the same alliance in the past, we were both positive and negative experiences from that time but this is already the past. However, the negotiations between eFrance and eHungary during the whole RA case were not remind us to talks between allies. At a moderate offer, our population didn't feel that our government is seeking for the eFrench interests instead of our own ones. Concerning the moral consequences of this, there is a big opponent of the alliance: the public and people of eHungary, which considers the rental fee high, similarly to myself.

Now it is eFrance that have to prove its loyalty to the alliance, not us. eHungary, as a base member of the PHOENIX rightfully wants to have fully reliable and respectful members in the alliance. Because of the above mentioned things, this relation is still not existing between eFrance and eHungary, so we 'pospone' the extension of the PHOENIX. I repeat, we don't say 'no' the eFrance or the eFrench people, just the formal alliance.

Of course, we admit, the eHungary committed faults during the negotiations, and we are really apologizing for that. However, I also wait for a similar eFranch admission as they also did unexpected moves (eg. threatening by their possible pro-EDEN turn).

We are still expecting the help of the eFrench army via the MPP, as we also run to help eFrance if the EDEN attacks it. Our vote reflects to the present situation, and of course it can be improving in the future. I am absolutely interested to re-open the whole negotiation process in the basis of the talk of real allies.

Summarizing:
eHungary looks at eFrance as a friendly country and nation, however, in the present circumstances eHungary does not support to let eFrance into the PHOENIX.
eFrance: YES
her joining to PHOENIX: NO - at the moment.

I'd wish a successful month to every PHOENIX member states and to France, too.

Lisztes
President of eHungary
