Lets face the truth. eRepublik is falling apart, literally.

I, as a lay person, and an ordinary player, I see the last 5-6 months as: "MILKING MONTHS".

Nonstop discounts and promotions, the global currency with worth of 1>2000 in contrary to GOLD (which you can only obtain with RL money). The global currency destroyed the economy module, and after that change, country licences are literally useless.

Now you cannot even make money with companies. The RAW is currently 0.05 in my country. Its ridiculous. The GOLD is 2000, and the RAW is 0.05, i need 110 q4 RAW companies to make 1 gold. Bad investment.

The q3 training center is just ROFL. I'm starting to think that admins are not smart at all, if there is a Q5 training center, people will get super soldier medals each day, so they will be earning money from training, not giving, hahahaha.

Not to mention that the q3 training center deepened the gap between older and new players, admins don't care about this problem for sure.

Now, the True Patriot medal. I see the new medal just as a tool to keep us stick around a little bit more, some free gold, because they saw how frustrated we were after the Q3 and the promotions. I think this about the missions too. And is the True patriot medal really a good medal? I dont think so, maybe it has given us some extra gold, but it only made people more selfish, and it is a nonstop selfishness. We can see countries like mine (Macedonia), and Serbia have 90%+ on the resistance wars when others are losing. So a bad medal overall, by my opinion.

I'm 2 click for 3 months now, and this is one of the best things I did, really. I'll continue to work/train/dailyOrder just because I cannot leave behind a game that I played for 1,5 years so easy. I'm used to leave the eRep. tab up on my browser.

So why are YOU playing this game? Do you honestly think better times will come? My opinion is that we are enduring the MILKING PERIOD, when they try to suck us dry from all the cash we want to spend. After the milking period, sadly, comes the official shut-down period.

And if admins dont really want to do this, and come to realise that they want to make some player-efficient change, well, the damage they've done is irreparable, no doubt.

Sorry, mate, but I'm observing this 'falling apart' for 3 years. Admins do as well. The problem is that people complain, but still play and spend money here. For they very same reason you do: 'I cannot leave behind a game that I played for x years so easy. I'm used to leave the eRep. tab up on my browser.'
That's called addiction, my friend, and they know that pretty well. So they don't care. Stupid is as stupid does ; )

Zafikel, i totally agree, totally. Except ok, for one thing. I'm not addicted, I'm just used to it, there is a difference. I've just spent much time in this game, and it is psychologically proven and known, that people care about stuff that they spend time to or with. That's why we care about friends, about partners, about our car, about work, about games such as this. But drugs that make you addicted aren't doing that because of the time you spend, its about chemistry.

The only difference between 'being used to' and 'being addicted' is that in the first case you aren't addicted physiologically. Furthermore, it's not even necessary (toxic love, false guru etc - those are or can be also addictions, though you're not influenced bodily). Being used to something is the very essence of any addiction, mate. If you care for people only, you don't need eRepublik - irc would be far enough. For some reason, it isn't; otherwise you wouldn't publish this article ; )

I totally agree with you.
I don't even work in my q4 raw companies now.
Probably I will continue training until I run out of my resources, and I don't know what I will do then.

Actually at the moment I'm here only because of the friendship. It's really nice to chat with people from other countries.

The way I see it, the changes are necessary to keep the game alive. To avoid having old players who are too strong and new players who are too weak and thus not motivated to play the game, the admins have to change things from time to time, making some old investments useless (like licenses, and like other stuff that was taken out of the game).

So if you want to enjoy the game, you have to take into account that a lot of things you have invested in (gold or money saved for months) will eventually be useless. The point: invest in what you think will be the best investment in the moment, and use it as much as possible during the period that it is profitable, and adapt when things change. No point in complaining, just adapt.

Im playing this game for fun, like every other game. Everyone on this world is trying to make money. I dont blame the owners (even if they chose the bad way of making fast money and ruining the game.). But this is their job, and what they do best, Programming. Is still better than killing around for money and robbing. Like in real world, here in eworld, who haz money survive, who have knowlage of hacking, cheating, survive (for some time). Everyting is exactly the same as the real world we live.
