Presidential Address
NewAzazel

Due to the holiday crunch and other delays, we’re all feeling the media sputtering along a bit. I haven’t written for the WHPR in quite some time, so this is pretty exciting honestly. I figured I could recap some things that went on this month for you all, mostly going off of my eNPR appearance last Friday. So what did we do this month?

We maintained peace. We maintained our allies. We beat down the PTO, again. We kept our domestic life alive and with some new programs and departments. We even had some foreign policy developments, more on that to follow in a few days. We had some conflicts though, a few problems with Education, a Media Secretary disappearing, and a game change that forced us to rethink the way we negotiate. But we survived, and we’re seeing all of those problems repair. We’re still a pretty awesome country, and we have a lot to be thankful for, other than Frost that is. But there is more to do. Recruitment needs to be tops, and we need to make some progress for our country regarding our foreign policy and our domestic situation. We spent the month rebuilding, now we get to stretch a bit. But we can be risky without being dumb. We can help ourselves without alienating others. We can play the game smart.

But what do I want from you? On my interview, I asked new players to simply present themselves. Make yourself known and make yourself available for work. What’s a way you can contribute? Write for the WHPR. It’s where I got my start, and look where I am now. Sometimes being the reporter can lead you to becoming the headline. Give our official government paper some support in more than one way.

Sincerely,
Your President, NewAzazel

Today, we’d like to ask you all to continue voting for eRepublik on these sites in order to increase the game’s visibility within the gaming community! As the Department of Education shifts its attention toward recruitment (a key component for any country) away from teaching the young, changes are occurring to secure safety measures that will be needed to have high voting rates, such as: External Gaming Post, and Mass Messaging Leaders throughout External Games-- other than eRepublik.

How does eNASA work? It’s pretty simple: we’ll post a bunch of links to external sites where you can vote for eRepublik. Remember--increasing the number of votes eRepublik receives is vital to the success of this mission. The difference between the original program and its current revival is that now, we have priority sites and non-priority sites (determined by each site’s popularity, among other factors). Please vote for eRepublik on these sites every day! This is your chance to contribute to the revival of the game and the growth of the eUSA as a nation!

Remember: You are allowed to vote once per day.

In addition, all gold acquired from the program will be donated to deserving, government-approved programs in order to increase their impact and effectiveness.

Here are the sites:

Priority sites
Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote

Non-Priority Sites
Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote | Vote

Questions about how we operate? Stop by #eUSA-DoE on IRC Rizon with any questions or concerns about this mission, or message Ingame Alexandrer Coin, Secretary of Education, or Tanishq, Deputy of Education, for any problems that are needed to be addressed.

White House Press Room, The Speaker's Word, DoD Orders, Education Today, Recommended Reading, Dept. of Interior...
What do they all have in common? They're known as "the official voice of..." various Cabinet level departments, tasked with informing the nation's citizens of important government news and events.
As such, they're expected to function at a higher level of professionalism than how we might run our own personal newspapers. Their editors and writers are held to a higher standard of everything from spelling and grammar to format and style.
You can't just bullsh*t your way into one of these jobs and slap together some crap-- readers know the difference between quality and crap.

The LAP Media College offers writers, both fledgling and experienced, an opportunity to work and learn in a professional environment, publishing not only a Party newspaper but one of the top level Cabinet papers as well. There's all the pressure of deadlines and commitments, research and rough drafts, rewrites and edits, on the path from assignments to publication. New player Sharky Malarkey says, "Although not for the faint of heart, the Media College is a fantastic place to learn and develop the craft through the expert knowledge of General Custer, himself."

The Media College's first group of students have produced, in full on team efforts, two editions of the Lap Dancers' Gazette (1) (2) and Vol. 1 of the 72nd Congress' Speaker's Word-- all in their first week of classes.
One of our students is DylanBAS, who has served on the staff of the WHPR. "I have learned so much in this time, so I might someday, with luck, and the help of the college, stand shoulder to shoulder with current media giants."

Helping DylanBAS achieve this goal is former Secretary of Media Custer, who'll be enlisting the help of media giant Gnilraps and others in later classes. The current course will run through the December Party President election; the first assignment for the next group will be the December Congressional election, and is open to members of any political Party.

While the rest of the world burns, Crickets for USA

It has been relatively quiet on the home front this past week, but Europe is still aflame. With territories that had long been conquered and held at knife point now receiving up to 3.5x influence bonuses, revolts and resistance wars spring up hourly. The sky is filled with the ashen remains of once great nations and empires. Blood flows as steadily as a stream from the mountain tops. War and justice has finally come to Europe and the Asia's.

Meanwhile in America

While we are enjoying peace in our country for the first time in a while, it would behoove you to remember just how close we came to the edge. We were wiped off the map, and our backs were all but broken. So remember, it can happen again. Train, work, and fight everyday to ensure we are ready for war. It will be coming again...

Hosts ???? and Melissa Rose

eNPR! Friday! Almost everything is exactly the same! BUT! Two small changes!

First, eNPR will be airing one hour... wait for it.... later. That's right folks!. This Friday's eNPR will begin at 19oo eRepublik time, instead of it's normal (and boring time) of 18oo.

The second... well, that's just it. The content of Friday's show is a mystery. "But Talostastic, why would I tune in if I don't know what I'm tuning in for?" That's a dumb question. You'll never know what the resolution to the mystery is if you don't tune in!

I'll give you a hint though. Just one, single, hint.
