New Special Forces Commander Bockson with retiring CO TTi09

Special Forces Commander TTi09 Retires
Names Executive Officer Bockson as his successor
Having served four months as Commanding Officer of the US Armed Forces elite Special Forces, TTi09 has stepped down in what he calls "the natural progression, for the Unit and for myself." His four month term is the longest any SF Commander has served, as it is customary to rotate leadership and promote from within, to allow newer players the opportunities for personal growth through greater responsibility.
TTi09 recalls leading the Special Forces through the tumultuous post-occupation recovery of America, and a period of significant growth and evolution of the SF.
Special Forces' supply system has been completely overhauled, from adding and upgrading production companies to automating supply requests and fine tuning Quartermaster methods. In addition to its share of the Congressional USAF allotment, much of the SF's infrastructure improvements have been financed by its members.
Membership has increased as well, from approximately 90 to now over 100. Many Special Forces troopers play from all around the RL globe, adding to the eUS' ability to strike hard at any hour of the day or night.
TTi09 will continue to serve the Special Forces in Quartermaster duties as well as advisory to new Commander Bockson, as well as serving as a Deputy to the National Security Council.

Bockson has served with the Special Forces for some nine months, having worked his way up through the ranks from Platoon Commander after transferring over from the Irish Defense Force. We can expect the same level of excellence and efficiency through his leadership, as he strives to continue his predecessor's trend toward constant improvement and adaptation to the game's frequent changes.
Econ Help - Admins' 44% Off Offer

In the past, my advice more or less always came down to: "upgrade your companies with every upgrade promo to as high as possible", but in the past, we had 50% upgrade offers. Recently, this has changed. I was a bit shocked to see that we no longer get a 50% upgrade offer, but a 44% upgrade offer. This shuffles the cards completely. "Is it still always the best thing to upgrade your companies?" I asked myself.

It works from the principle that you are only going to work as WAM (WAM=Work As Manager; ea have no employees in your companies). Seeing as the only ones who can afford to hire employees are people with Q6 companies, I think this applies to the large majority of players.
If you do however have plenty of gold (and with plenty I mean +400 gold) that you wish to spend, ignore this article and this googledoc and wait until the admin releases another Q6 purchase-offer, buy that and hire employees.
I'd just like to point to everyone that my starting point is to maximize profit. If you are a new player who doesn't have a Town centre on Q5 or a player who feels that over the course of several months/years he might to be able to buy a Q6 company, it might not be such a bad idea to upgrade your companies after all. The profit gained from having a Q5 town centre cannot be measured in relative numbers, but it nevertheless is something that's very profitable and should be achieved first and foremost.
Pearlswine, however (a far superior economic mind than myself), showed me a different method of looking at this promo offer. He explained that you can also look at this as an investment. There followed small talk about the 44% Offer and this awesome newspaper, then the show went right down the crapper as Ajay Bruno was allowed almost half an hour of air time to carry on about how unjustly persecuted he is and that America needs to give him a chance to prove his patriotism and mental stability.

I always said that TTi would continue in the tradition of constantly evolving new and more efficient ways to do things, and would wrap up everything I'd started before retiring very nicely. He's done exactly as well as I thought he would. Yet another great officer in the proud Special Forces tradition. Enjoy your retirement, homey.)
