While my intentions in writing this article may seem comical to some of you, my intention by writing it is to show how a plauged system has failed our country this month of all months.
For those who don't already know this, the month started off with, our dictator running for CP on no campaign and winning the elections, even when he knew he would be breaking the constitution implemented long ago by our congress. As a result our Chairman of Congress, has gone so far as to abuse his own powers and not give the needed passwords to government orgs, to the elected (though unconstitutional) Country President, Tonie.
I have dubbed this the measuring tape war, due tot he fact that this is becoming a stalemate discussion with no end in sight. Each camp, has pulled out their measuring tapes and basically gone off to see who has the biggest... lets say fire-hose.
Facts are as follows:
1) Tonie is the Dictatot
2) Tonie is the CP
3) The forum law states that you cannot be CP and ditator at the same time.
4) The ingame mechanics allow you to be CP and dictator at the same time
5) Odan is the Chairman of congress
6) Odan believes that the constitution must be upheld at any cost, regardless the cost to the country
7) Tonie ran for CP because he felt he was the only one who could manage the country in an important month like this. HE didn;t even need to campaign!
9) Odan has refused to call on a vote in order to see if the ingame congress will allow for an exemption of this rule for a one term period.
10) Congress has drawn a line in the sand with two camps. One supporting Tonie and one rejecting it all costs
11) Tonie cannot resign as CP
12) Tonie is unwilling to resign as dictator, seeing that the dictatorship can fall into an unknowing persons hands, and having the country fall to this mercy.
13) Congress has gone on a "debate" in which to say the least is far from amusing.
14) No votes have been made with regards to this matter, as to the fact that Odan is uncertain of a victory for his camp.
15) The Key Keeper holds the government passwords, to its organizations, thus not allowing the elected CP ingame to do his job. His Job is to ensure that an external power (ie a PTO) gov does not get access tot he treasury. Tonie was elected as the CP by the people, thus the legitimate leader. As per the breaking of the law, it should be seen as a separate matter all together, and does not mean a personal interpretation of the law.
16) Odan has gone on a stall campaign, even though it could cost the country the points it needs in order to have the needed resources.
17) Odan has said there is no government, and thus nothing can be done.

19) Tonie cannot give in since there is no way to give up the dictatorship, without risking the country to fall in the hands of an unknown individual, however small that chance may be.
20) Tonie has shown no reason to abuse the power, while holding both offices.
21) Odan deletes many posts in crucial debates, without allowing members to see if he is being objective or not.
So my question to you all is whos is bigger?
1. The one who one the election, and holds the office.
2. The one who believes the constitution is to be upheld, and no exception be made for an important month.
My opinion has been made a while ago, and that is to allow Tonie to hold the CP and dictatorship for the length of the resource wars. If he decides to stay on longer than a single term, he must give up the dictatorship.
Sadly, the game mechanics and the forum based laws have shown its limits. It saddens me as well that people have gone so far as to lose trust in one another. I say Odan, in this article, but the truth is he is not the only one, but is clearly the head of this kidney stone. My intention is not a personal attack on Osan, or Tonie. I am just trying to show the facts. These people see nothing sinister happening yet fear the worst and fear that thsi will set a bad precident. Does Tonie have the will and the power to pass this kidney stone?
I think so, if only the two sides can pick a time and meet, and have a public discussion, with the intent of solving all concerns.
I would happily act as a moderator in this, and try to remain as neutral as possible.
Therefore: Tonie, Odan, and any other members of congress and the community who wish to partake in the disussion, come on Discord and solve this once and for all!

Tonie breaking the law is very bad. It was something that shouldn't have happened and should be prevented from in the past.
But it is almost even worse that our country is suffering from this breaking of the laws. Tonie has done a lot for our country, and is still doing this, and the fact that our country is suffering thanks to him, is very sad. Congress is blocking almost all solutions, because of both camps, Tonie and Congress, are not willing to take a step back and give the other what they want.
In my opinion it is time to bury the battleaxe 😛 and act in the best interest of our country. Which is the short term. Tonie should get all the access he needs, and the team he needs to lead us through the resource wars. After this month is over, we can talk again about the long term.
I'm worried that the law won't mean anything anymore if we allow these kind of lawbreaking things to happen. That's I think the reason congress is acting like the way it does. But the deadlock situation right now is even worse. Tonie is leading the country as dictator and CP, but doesn't have the access to the orgs nor the team to inform the citizens of the eNetherlands. So there is no transparancy at all and noone knows what to do.

A keykeeper cannot withold keys on his own interpretation of the law, when congress hasnt decided on the matter. But i agree i havent been reading as im currently out of the country.
Odan isn't the KK btw. Willem is. And he's doing his job as KK atm. The 'government' isn't legitimate, so the KK can't give the keys. If I'm correct the KK did discuss this with several people before making a decision (including Tonie), but don't blame me if i'm wrong 😛
I will straighten up that fact immediately. None the less, tonie was elected, therfore legitimate. The KK should only withhold the keys when it is an external force who threatens to destroy our country. I believe we can ll agree thats not Tonie.
The KK laws are the most important ones we have. When laws are broken, the only job of the KK is to prevent power abuse. Which is the case here. I do think the KK acted right. He didn't act all by himself, but after a conversation with several people. To not give the keys was the outcome.
I don't believe we can all agree that Tonie isn't dangerous. Maybe his intentions are good, maybe not. In anyway, the execution of his intentions are hurting the country.
Nice summing up off facts. It makes it clear once again how a certain individual and his friends messes around in eNL and is allowed to continue to do so. I just hope more players will wake up and that finally the cancer within our country will be removed. After that perhaps it will proof possible to start working on rebuilding our nation.
The only thing I don't get is why odan is able to withhold gov the passwords. I don't think he has a say in that unless he would be KK as well. Luckily that's almost the only place he has no power.

Week i would say i in general dislike and distrust Odan as much as you for alot of the same reasons, yet on this i am on a simlar mind as him and find my self on hes side.
Odan is up-keeping the laws, laws that have been putt in place, cause ingame mechanics allow for way to much problems like a CP overspending while others try to save up, no possible way to prevent PTOs (in past) and i can keep on naming stuff.

Discussion with Odan lol. Been there done that. At the end of the day ODAN is evil and can not be trusted. I am certainly not going to waste my time.
I disagree this time, i have allways spoken out and almost always found myself on the opposite side as him, but t his time he is on the right side, and Tonie is the one causing this.
The rules are there for very good reasons, and him so blatantly breaking them and ass-kiss-senators aren't doing their job forcing Odan to step up.
Sorry, but I have to disagree with you Fosite. It was clear the moment this event was announced it would be best to have matters in one hand this month to act swiftly. That's an exception on the law caused by a different situation as would normally apply. It should have been congress that recognised that, made an exception for this month and this month only. So Tonie would have been allowed to become CP; even more so; we would be advised to vote Tonie to get it done. After this months normal law applies again.
So its the sleeping congress (for several reasons not on debate here) that caused this. And by doing so odan felt obliged to act as he always does; Uphold the law no matter the costs.

No it hasn't actually for the last few months things went really well, and the system hasn't failed now. People failed it, NoTie is breaking the rules and ass-kissing senators refuse to do their job.
You point out the ingame mechanics, you mean those that allow for PTO and theft, those that are replaced by a forum or sorts by any Ecountry.
You claim to observe and know, but from all i see on your "rants" is that you don't know anything trow out false statement and facts. And at the end you are just trying to shuff us on that Discord thing you been trying to promote since day one, the forum is the perfect...well forum for this discussions but since people have decided they are above the rules there is no reasoning with them anymore.
