What up world?

Day 723, 01:32 Published in USA USA by Bradley Reala

Yeah, that.

So...first, I'm gonna try and get an actual format for my articles, in this article, so expect changes while I get everything settled.

Second, while you're waiting for everything to settle, vote and subscribe! NOW! DO IT! (I realized after almost not voting on AstraKatG's article, that this must be said early).

Moving on...

So...I haven't written anything in a while. Not even a Congressional update. Sorry about that. I really didn't expect to not write for so long, but things came up. As a great number of Politicians have said, mistakes were made. So here's an update on what I've been doing.

First, Congress, I was a part of the major flak storm that hit Congress about mid-term. I'm sure a lot of you all know what I'm talking about. The "freeze" that everyone freaked out about. To be honest, I'm slightly baffled as to why it blew up like it did. A request was made by the Speaker of the House, it was not supported by many Senators, and so it was not followed. No one is really at fault, and I feel that it's a moot point, but many people were calling for blood at some point. Now that it has been addressed it can die. There's no more point in talking about it. As for voting, this term, I haven't put up a voting record, but trust me, I've voted in the majority on everything, as there has been next to nothing that was controversial (not even during the "freeze&quot😉. I'm not going to give you all an exact list of what was voted on, you all can find that in Astra's article: here. (By the way, if you haven't, vote and subscribe, she's ALMOST got a MM!)

So why have I been so busy? Well, blame that on the above. I'm now Deputy Secretary of State, which means that I help my boss, Cerb, run the State Department. Up to this point, we've done an awesome job too. My alma-mater, the CTF, has been running like a well oiled machine, working on getting citizenship requests done, and working with Congress as much as possible. This term has seen the most organized and cooperative CTF/Congress staff yet, and I attribute that to Indrae, the current CTF Director, and Brent Abernathy, the Deputy Director of the CTF, who have done one SERIOUSLY awesome job at turning that place into a very much user friendly place. Citizenship requests (that pass the background check) are approved VERY quickly! As for the Office of Ambassador Affairs, that place has also been turned into a well oiled machine. That was actually our focal point this term, and it has, more or less, been achieved. To day we have so many ambassador applications that we've got an ambassador in nearly every country in the New World. We're always looking for new people, though, so if you're interested in signing up, check this out! A big round of applause goes out to Dodgercatcher and System0101, the Director and Deputy Director of the OAA, who have done an incredible job at getting the Ambassadors where they need to go.

Now, all of the above is actually why I shouldn't be busy, not why I am. I've had an incredible staff to work with, and I haven't had to micromanage them at all, which is awesome. These guys are smart and they know what they're doing. The reason I've been busy has more to do with the fact that, since I'm not micromanaging, I've been talking with people 'round the world. To start with, I talked with the Irish Prime Minister and his Minister of Foreign Affairs (the world's equivalent to a Secretary of State) about possibly joining the Brolliance. This was met with a bit of hostility by some of the American people, but I like the idea of adding more people to the Brolliance. More friends is always a good thing. Anyway, that somewhat fell through, but now we're looking at a possible TW with Ireland, which is fantastic as well. I've also spoken with a few other people through out the word, but to be honest, I'm not sure if I can tell you who it was, or what we spoke about. I'm sure ya'll understand. Loose lips sink ships and all that.

Speaking of ships! (u c wut I did thar?) I've recently gotten involved with my old bosses, wahooBob and Jewitt in creating a group called the Coast Guard. As the Coast Guard, we've decided not to go the way of ST6 and instead we want to focus on younger players. We want to teach new players the basics of playing the game, and get them involved in the defense of their country. At this point we've got basic structure in place, which a Cutter being substituted for what is normally a platoon. The decision to go sea-based as opposed to land-based, was mostly because of the fact that eAmerica's military has no maritime force (or technically a need for a true maritime force), and partly because we all wanted to be on a boat!

So that's the Coast Guard! We're a militia dedicated to helping newbies learn to eat, drink a juice (aka gifting for you non-Jahan players 😛 ), fight, ebreathe, and generally not suck. If you're interested in helping, or learning to not suck, click here! Unfortunately we're not accepting applications until Monday, November 16th, but if you want to help out early, the going rate is apparently a boat full of hookers. We await delivery. 😛

No more PEACE at home, lets finish off the PEACE in the world! 😉
