What is the most beautiful town/city in your country?
Arrlo
I am a massive loser who likes reading and learning about urban planning and architecture. I've asked a few people at random times to tell me their opinions on what is the most beautiful settlement in their country, and have been very pleased to discover places I had never heard of.
Beauty is of course entirely subjective, and people (myself DEFINITELY included) can often be biased in their choices, since they're likely to be fonder of towns which they've had many happy memories in. It's still fascinating to share these opinions though!
To kick things off I would like to submit my home town in Somerset, Englan😛
Bath!
Bath Abbey in background, taken from the Roman baths
Amazing sweep of the Royal Crescent
Pulteney Bridge on right
Great Pulteney Street
Elegant Georgian buildings, harmonious effect of using the warm coloured stone of the local quarries-- I think it's a magical place. Tell me about your most beautiful cities!

Chania, Greece - a Mediterranean paradise suggested by efprepios_Rev
Europe meets Asia in mighty Istanbul - suggested by depici
France has a lot to offer, here is one suggestion, supported by my friend Allezski and my own mother: Bordeaux!
I think they should call Athens the Edinburgh of the South - suggested by einberliner 🙂

Pretty sure Northern Ireland (and the Republic for that matter) has no "beautiful" towns/cities.
We have nice murals on the odd wall though. >__>
Bath is nice.

Omg I adore Bath.
Edinburgh has to be seen though. I could link you but it doesn't really do justice to it. Examples of SO MANY great types of architecture and if you stand in the right spot (the area around Edinburgh Waverly Station is particularly good for this) you can see multiple era examples in one view.
Also that gal's right. Durham's awesome too.
(By gal I mean Keers, obv. ;P)
Well i may live in Greece but i will tell you for the country that I was born
So I think in Romania is Brasov take a look here ; )

Great article!! I think that Milwaukee is lovely, and Chicago is also a great city! Amsterdam is wonderful also, but my favorite city in all the world is Edinburgh...
Canada: Old Quebec City, especially during winter.

Well, as for Croatia, I'd say Zagreb as an inland city and capitol http://www.novi-zagreb.info/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/zagreb11.jpg
As for coastal Croatia, there are many beautiful cities (Split) or towns (Rovinj, Dubrovnik).
