What eWorld think of Brazil? [EN]

Day 2,693, 11:54 Published in Brazil Argentina by Rick Adams

Good afternoon everyone!

After our BIG GIL talk "bit" of our Brazil.

I had more or less 40 messages to several CP's and Representatives around the world and I will be here by publishing the responses of each country.

Note: I used the Brazilian government's tab, but this article is not connected to eGov Brazil.

Good afternoon (Brazilian time)

I wanted to ask you a few questions about what you think particularly of my country of origin. There are few questions. Respond with all sincerity.

What do you think of Brazil MILITARILY?
What do you think of Brazil economically?
What do you think of the relations between Brazil and your country?
Do you think Brazil can return to being an empire of 2/3 years ago?
What Brazil needs to do to get back to the world stage making a difference?
What did you think of Brazil have switched Alliance?

Schwrzwolf:

Hello

I have very little knowledge about eBrazil, but I'll answer your questions

1) I believe they are a strong country in eRepublik with many old players.

2) I suppose they are a fairly strong economic power because of their fairly big population.

3) As far as I know, we never had any relations between each other. It's a bit of a pity, but we're in different corners of the world and eAustria is too small to matter beyond central Europe

4) Probably not, considering the tough environment in South America these days. There were fewer strong nations there when eBrazil was at the peak.

5) I have no idea Good diplomacy is always important though

6) A eBrazil that is friendly with our friends in eHungary and eSlovenia is nice to see for me.

First of all good afternoon and I will answer these question if CP doesn’t have time

1. regarding your military power there’s nothing too much to say your country is one of strongest in world so THERE U GO

2.Regarding economy (to be precise your bonuses) i think that you are in solid situation you bassicly don’t have only house bonuses other is fine so from this side it’s ok.... but world economy is problem.... Plato doesn’t want to change it (currently economy doesn’t exist)

3.Because Brazil is in Asteria our relations can’t improve too much you are allies with Serbia (our archenemy ) maybe in future if you decide to change alliance

4. Yeah why not... Chile is now "occupied" so u have chance bad side of your position is that firs neighbors are Argentina (your ally) and Chile (your enemy) and both of them want regions!

5. To be honest I’m not so familiar with your inner government and your politics so i cant answer on this

6. I don’t want to be disrespectful but I don’t like when some countries change their allegiance... but I understand everyone wants their peace, some freedom, regions

So that’s all If you have more questions feel free to contact me again

Do you think Brazil can return to being an empire of 2/3 years ago?
No one can return to anything in this game unfortunately.

Be independent from alliances, get more bossy approach.

Can't really say I know much about your military or economy. Brazil used to be a quite strong country, due to the baby boom in 2010-2011. But in recent years you've been in trouble a lot and it surprised me to see Brazilian being wiped from the map for long periods of time.

I don't think that there is an established relationship between Brazil and Sweden in eRepublik. What I can say is that there is at least no bad blood between our countries that I am aware of. There is definitely a possibility for improving relations over time and maybe become allies in the future. I'd say that has more to do with which sides our two countries pick when the current alliances are swapped out against new ones.

I think it will be very difficult for you to return to the strength and power you had 2-3 years ago, but I'm not sure if that's even a goal worth pursuing. It's what you do with the power you have that counts. Good diplomacy always win more victories in the long run, especially when/if you lack the brute force to crush your enemies.

I think Brazil needs to get more involved in the top alliance politics, like pretty much every other country. I'm hearing rumors about presidential candidates from USA wanting to re-establish good relations with South American countries. I think that Brazil has lost much during the period where Argentina held most/all of your regions. But getting back in the driver's seat is far from easy. Basically, what you need is to find a way to make the resource war change work in your favor. In the end, no country can survive without strong friends. If you have stronger allies and a better MPP stack than your enemy, you're much more likely to end up in a strong position and be invited to the fine rooms where the big, important alliance discussions takes place.
Asteria is definitely the alliance to be part of right now. Sweden has been pro-Asteria right from the start, and during our days in Asgard we had a formal contract between our two alliances that sealed mutual support in times of need.

I think that it was inevitable for Brazil to sooner or later form a pact with Asteria. When resources changed places all over the map, it created a perfect opportunity to for both countries to find a nice set of bonuses without interfering with one another. Brazil has returned from having no regions and zero bonuses to having 9/10. That is a strong - and fast! - Comeback. I don't think that would have been possible in the long run unless you had joined Asteria.

Say cheers to your countrymen from the cold north!

eBionic:
As far as I know. The Bulgaria in December 2013 tried to AS unsuccessful in Brazil (???)

Stolch:
I don't know who told you that, but its untrue (some Argentinean probably). Bulgaria did make an AS to South America on two occasions, once successful the second unsuccessful.

The first was in defence of all the small countries on the continent which were being perma occupied by Argentina. Chile, Peru, Paraguay. Bolivia was politically taken over by Argentina at the time and Bulgaria landed in Bolivia and proceeded to beat Argentina and bring it down to one region at a time when EDEN was still a dominant power and Bulgaria was not part of any alliance.

Brazil at the time was an ally with Argentina, but from the start of the game it had never been an enemy with Bulgaria. Essentially Brazil refused to NE Bulgaria for Argentina back then, though it did help Argentina by attacking Peru and Bolivia. For that Argentina would label Brazil traitors and eventually it would attack it after a while.

The second unsuccessful AS, the one you're talking about probably was done later, but at the time Brazil was actually allied with Chile and Bulgaria so neither was against Brazil.

Until last year Brazil and Bulgaria had not been enemies and until a couple months back when Brazil attacked Chile, we had kept cordial if not good relations even if not in constant communication. That act did damage relations to a degree.

Now for the questions:

1. Brazil has always had a decent military though like most countries with the passing of time, coordination and generally team play has eroded for all. It is not what it used to be, but neither is anyone else's for that matter.

2. Brazil was used to being a top economic power under the old resource distribution system, after some of the resource changes of the admins this stopped to be true and as Argentina and Chile surpassed it militarily on the continent, it no longer was in a position to be dominant and keep full resources. I think the loss of that position is what caused a lot of instability internally and erratic diplomacy from Brazil in an effort to recover a position no longer attainable. Russia used to be the economic superpower in V1, because of all the resources it had back then, it similarly lost that later on. It will from this point on barring a big BB (very unlikely with current mechanics) it will remain a second tier economic power at best.

3. For years Brazil and Bulgaria enjoyed good relations, pretty much we were there for Brazil always when we could until it switched sides last year to go to Asteria. There isn't really any enmity between us and relations could be redeveloped in the future, however that goes through at least cordial relations of Brazil with Chile if not better. So as long as Brazil is following Argentinean lead and is an enemy of Chile, there is no possibility of changing the current status quo in relations.

4. In short no. You need a big influx of players, which to keep for 2 years until they develop sufficiently to start making a difference on the battl fields and start catching up to the main powers in South America now, Chile and Argentina and even then Brazil will need to cooperate with one of them to achieve anything. Still even that might not be enough to regain former glory, so highly unlikely. Even more so as it competes for colonies with it's ally Argentina, where if Chile was the ally, it would not as Chile gets it's resources from Oceania, so in any case for Brazil cannot achieve greater resource holdings as Argentina is more dominant and as allies they will be getting the lion share from Nigeria and South Africa and thus limiting Brazil.

5. Well depends what you mean under world stage. Brazil importance as "night time damage" country for European powers has diminished greatly after the ascent of Argentina and Chile and that is unlikely to change soon. So the only way for Brazil to play a larger role is to achieve a higher economic status, by obtaining more resources. This however means to abandon it's ally status with Argentina as they compete for the same resources and while allies Argentina will be getting the lion share on the basis of it's greater damage and Brazilian inability to challenge in any other way. More importantly though, all countries have a second country they can unconditionally rely on, though most have had dents in that relation. In any case such a relationship makes both countries stronger. For example Chile and Bulgaria. Brazil right now does not have such a partner, Argentina is not, even if they might be professing love or what not, for them Brazil is a means towards their desired domination of South America as well as a guarantee against threats for their colonies in SA and Nigeria when they're able to spread there again. So until Brazil finds a country for such a relationship again, it is unlikely to be able to carry any weight on the world stage.

6. It was disappointing, as Brazil gave up too early at a time when the opposition to Asteria was just starting to gain strength and it was only a matter of time for it to be able to free Brazil, eve as Brazil itself refused to join T.E.T.A.S agreement, because of its support for Peru which was having problems with Chile.

The irony of it all is, that a few years earlier it was Brazil that was perma occupying Peru and it was in large extent thanks to Bulgarian diplomacy on behalf of Peru that it finally granted it some regions back so it can return to the map after years of occupation and political takeovers.

After Brazil switched sides, Chile spent months traversing Europe and if Brazil was with us, they would have participated too. Argentina did some of that too, but limited and mostly when people were busy elsewhere; when damage was concentrated against them they would usually quickly be defeated.

Last 3 months don't really count as the disbalance with Poland and USA essentially switching sides means that one side should be winning all battles, yet Argentina has often lost as is against Chile.

In any case, switching sides for the sake of recovering your original regions, always leeds to subordination, where Brazil is now.

What do you think of Brazil economically?

What do you think of the relations between Brazil and your country?

Do you think Brazil can return to being an empire of 2/3 years ago?

Hello

What do you think of Brazil MILITARILY?

Brazil are dangerous militarily one on one to most nations. This coupled with their MPP stack could make them a serious force to content with for any nation.

What do you think of Brazil economically?

Fairly strong. You have 80% food, 100% weapon and 20% house bonuses. With one of the largest populations in this new world.

What do you think of the relations between Brazil and your country?

Fairly neutral I would say. Neither positive or negative at the moment.

Do you think Brazil can return to being an empire of 2/3 years ago?

Aca Djekic:

Hi there.

Well let's see what I can dig up haha.

1. Well Brazilian military is not so strong but also no as week, it's in the middle. It can get better but it is how it is now.

2. Well with its current regions Brazilian economy is not very strong. Compared to Serbian or Romanian. I mean don't get me wrong, but Brazil needs more regions, and more new players for its economy to be stronger.

3. Well relations between Serbia and Brazil are great. When we asked for help Brazilian government was always there to help and was eager in their attention. So I respect and love Brazil. Even though your country is not as strong they are kind people and want to help their friends.

4. For brazil to be Empire again it's a bit hard you know. It is always possible but at this moment very hard. If Brasile strives to become Empire like Serbia, you need to fulfill what I have said in first two questions.

5. I have just answered this question haha in the one before.

6. Well we were enemies once, but anyone can redeem and be accepted as an ally. But you need to gain our trust, and Brazil has gained Serbian trust, and I doubt Brazil will never betray us, there is a possibility of course but only if wrong people get in power, and I know that won’t happen, Brazilian people won't allow it.

I hope this answers all your questions. If you need anything else or have more questions just ask.

4...realisticy...I don’t expect any more baby booms in this game, and without brute numbers I don’t this brazil can become "empire" as it was few years ago...it is possible, but not likely....even those I consider you one of strongest countries in game, but not superpower like Serbia for example.

Sorry mate I was not online for a while

1- I think Brazil is a strong country. But really don’t understand why Brazil is not an active in battlefield. I think politicians' choice’s can explain this. Maybe they want to be good or nonaggressive in relations with other countries.

2- Brazil is not good economically. Brazil has not got enough active players. Despite having high tax rates does not get much revenues.

3- Turkey and her people have no negative thoughts for Brazil. I’m sure that if we were in same alliance we would have great relations

4- why not. you did well in the past, you can do it in the future

5- In Erepublik dynamics there is not much to make difference. I don’t blame people. Plato doesn’t give breath to new players also this is a hard game to play without credit card.

6- Serbia is a strong country but couse of this they don’t respect other allies. People think that if you have Serbia you don’t lose battles. But it’s not like it seems. They only help when it's their strategy. So I think Brazil chose wrong allies. However that’s my opinion and does not mean it is correct

1.) Brazil has a significant military factor for sure. As the most countries with great power (such as Poland or Serbia) are in Europe, the Brazilian damage is even more important (because it means a lot of night damage in Europe).

2.) Well, to be honest, I don't care too much about economics, but as Brazil is a powerful country, it has a balanced economy.

3.) We've always considered Brazil as a friend and I hope that it's mutual. But I think that with a little work, we could easily strengthen our relationship in the near future.

4.) Brazil has the second largest population in the eWorld right now, so of course... with work and sweat, you can be an empire again.

Hard questions for a Sunday morning😁

Honestly, i don't really know Brazil, so i can't answer about economy.
About military, i think Brazil is a middle power like France.
In the past, Brazil was a good friend of France and we don't forget this. But nowadays, even if we're not enemies, our relation with Brazil seems discreet.
You could become more important if you succeed to do new players stay. Brazil has in important natality, and search good ideas for young players could really help you !

have a nice Day

Severrus Snape:

However, here are my answers:

1) I don’t really have positive opinion about this, because I think Brazil has not yet fulfilled its military maximum as you should, because as a country constantly in the Top 5 world population, it is also expected for you to be strong militarily.

2) Brazil a few years ago had nice set of bonuses, with its geo-strategically position getting bonuses from South Africa. All this was great, but I personally didn’t like it at all, and this is also related to my answer of the first question. I really think Brazil had huge lack of serious wars, and all that FarmVille play did nothing but bad upon you. I think it may have actually weakened you militarily as there was no fun wars anymore, just safe boring farming.

3) I think they are okay, having that Macedonia and Brazil have their history together, but as times and priorities change, also do the sides. Unfortunately you chose the other side, which does not make me happy, but as long as you are…

4) I don’t see why not? In the end, in this game everything is possible if you have enough money on your Visa card

5) Taking part in all the wars / world wars, being on that stage and actually be a factor in the outcome of those wars, but not a passive observer, as I mentioned before.

6) I think I already answered this, but I will say again. It didn’t make me happy, that is for sure, but hey, everything is changing… as long as you see yourselves happy there, and can stand to your friends with dignity and respect. That is all that matters.

eBionic: No te preocupes. Los brasileños van entender... Me gustaría dar las gracias a las respuestas claras y honestas.

Wild Owl:

1) I think Brazil is OK. Not as strong as it used to be, but occupies a key role in night time battles and has some major tanks.

2) Brazil has good food/weapons bonuses and low taxes that can be appealing for many people.

3) We used to be brothers once. We're just allies now.

4) Probably not, but everything is possible.

5) Probably spend a lot of money. I don't think a baby boom is possible for any country anymore.

6) It is definitely in Brazil's interest to join Asteria and stick by them.

Do you remember any made between Brazil and Argentina in 2013?

T O N N Y:

1) Brazil is a country with very strong militarily, but you cannot use

2) Economically I do not have much to say erepublik the bonus features with tremendous amount of Brazilian users should be good producers

3) That are bad because brazil being submissive Argentina is destined to always follow his footsteps and obey, while you continue allies Argentina there will be little relationship between Brazil and Bolivia

4) Empires use multis and Peru wants to grow, so must you

6) Brother of his alliance with Argentina was the worst thing they could do, Argentina only uses the Allies nothing else. UK seen as wine, Croatia and Cyprus ?? As if nothing sir, as anything

Do you remember any fact between Brazil and Argentina in 2013?

Melvinovich:

1) Brazil is only a shadow of military power it used to be. You are far from entering into top 10 countries by damage but you are still far from a weak country. If you manage to focus your damage well I believe you can achieve some amazing victories with help of your allies.

2) You are one of the countries which had the biggest profit from Resource Wars. When I glanced at your bonuses after Resource Wars I was surprised. They aren't perfect but I guess that you at least managed to return players who had their weapon companies in other countries. Your daily income is also decent.

3) I remember we were allies in good and bad times since I started to play this game. We used to share the same fate. You were occupied by Argentina and we were occupied by Serbia. After you changed sides and set of MPPs we became enemies, but I hope our communities still respect each other. Your attack on Chile resulted with our attack on you. (That was my CP term) We held you for a month and then Resource Wars came. We managed to sign a deal in which we entered a TW. We were winning direct battles and you were winning RW's and thanks to that we both got lots of tokens. I was positively surprised with our cooperation which resulted with returning you your core regions.

4) If you will play with wise foreign policy which suits a country with your fire power you can.

5) You need to return respect you lost when you changed sides. You definitely won't do it by making Poland your best ally because they did the same thing.

6) It was a move in which all your allies were negatively surprised. Part of them understood you because you were under Arg occupation for a long time and all your attempts to free yourself were unsuccessful. Still, I am one of people who believe that your move was too drastic and that you had to stay loyal to your traditional allies who trusted in you for the whole time.

7) I don't understand this question. Do I remember WHAT between you and Arg in 2013?

At the time of posting, Poland and Portugal were the only ones who still did not respond to PMs.

Greek dictator did not want to participate.
