My friend who lives in England is happy that Scotland stays in the UK.
The thing is - UK becomes weaker without Scotland, many factories and ports are there. They have the largest part of aggriculture in the UK.

They lived together peacefully for hundreds of years now, I see no reason to split and go sepperate ways.

The values that held together their union are failing , like royal marriages, wars against common enemies( Spain, WW1 & WW2) and British Empire itself has already collapsed, also David Cameron should respect the Scots more , listening to some of their parliament sessions (like about North Sea oil fields and Scotland's revenues from them) makes you wonder why Scots didnt just leave the union already , but yes , they are certainly far better off together than being separate.

Problem here is with big decision making in the UK, like much discussed EU referendum in 2018. Scots are much more pro EU then rest UK but when the voting will be on decision will be made in England as over 80% of the UK population is down there. And this about all the big political decisions, they are made in Westminster and Scotland`s PMs cant influence them because of lack of votes in Westminster. I think Scotland should a try to go on its own, but timing for referendum was wrong, should a choose something closer to EU referendum.
