The True Voice of Reason

First, I would like to thank everyone who has donated for the moving tickets program in the last two days. Thanks to your generosity, I was able to dispense 403 tickets yesterday before citizenship was implemented. Kudos to you all!

Today, requests for tickets has declined since the urgency has resided, but there are still some coming in. Therefore, I want to discuss briefly the affects of citizenship on moving.

1) If you already live in the United States and simply want to get to a Q5 hospital region, your citizenship will not be affected by the move. You are already a US citizen so you can move around the nation freely. Send in your request for a moving ticket like normal.

2) If you are an American living in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, or Washington; you are no longer a United States citizen. You are a citizen of either Canada, Russia, Indonesia, or Portugal. You will have to request US citizenship through the new in-game citizenship module and await approval by a Congress member. If this is your situation, please mention it in your request for tickets. Until your citizenship request is approved, your ticket requests will be secondary. I will still get them to you as soon as possible, though.

3) If you reside and are a citizen of any other nation, and do not live in one of the former US states, please be patient. Your request for citizenship will be processed. As we are in the middle of a war, we will be doing a precursory background check to ensure that you are not an enemy of the state. It helps if you include a very convincing reason why you are moving to the US. Until your citizenship request is approved, your ticket requests will be on hold. I know that sounds as if I am targeting foreigners, but my reasoning will be explained below.

Last night as I was furiously sending out tickets to get Americans back on US soil before citizenship was implemented, my inbox was flooded with ticket requests from Russians living in Moscow and Kaliningrad. While these players might have simply disagreed with the Russian government and wanted to move, it turned out that it was a form of "economic" attack to take moving tickets out of American hands. Several members of the Russian Duma were amongst those requesting the tickets, as was the Party President of the Communist Party - Soviet Union. Even with the hundreds of other requests that I was dealing with, I had a good laugh at that. Ultimately, their plan failed as those involved were easy to identify. I wrote eRA Party President, Martin Blumen, a message congratulating him and his party on their subterfuge, but also informing him why they stuck out like sore thumbs. He got a good laugh too.

This is the reason that moving tickets will not be sent to players living in foreign nations until their citizenship is approved.

Remember, if you live within the United States, request a ticket to move to our fortress states of New Jersey and Florida.

NOTE: I will be moving over the next two days, so requests will be delayed. I will check in several times both days, but will mostly be offline. If you live in a state that is conquered during that time, you retain your US citizenship. Simply make your ticket request and I will get you the necessary tickets to move when I am online.
