Weekly Writing Contest

Day 2,851, 08:41 Published in Canada Canada by Foxfire

To encourage active media in eCanada and reward the many great writers we have in our country, the current government is holding a weekly writing contest.

The three best articles of the week (starting on the Tuesday of each week) determined by a panel of judges will be reward a cash prize as follows:

First prize - $1,000
Second prize - $600
Third prize - $400

If there is not enough suitable articles to win in a given week, the prize money left will rolled into next week's selection.

The winners of the Weekly Writing Contest for September 1 to September 7 is:

Cyber Ninja's This Week In Erepublik [Day 2846]

Cyber Ninja continues with his in-depth and well rounded coverage of weekly events in eCanada. His efforts towards creating these weekly reports is clear and it was easy to select him as the first winner of the first prize this week.

Xander Kross [COMICS] Rylde's Coup d'Etat!

Our second pick of the week was not a typical article, but clearly requiring some effort to construct. In the vein of an editorial cartoon if Marvel comics went on acid, Xander has once again constructed a very funny account of recent events as well.

Phyren's An Anti-Dictatorship Manifesto - A Letter from the Editor of the True North Standard

Our third selection is from Phyren, who tackled the dictatorship verses pro-democracy arguments that have become the focus of politics in the recent weeks. We hope to see more from Phyren in the future.

We hope to see more great writing in the coming weeks ahead and look forward to rewarding eCanada's active writers.
