Shoi12
Welcome to another edition of the eRepublik Power Rankings! Here are the rules; the efforts of the top five countries this week will be recognized, and the five worst performances will be mocked, no exceptions! Countries are recognized for many things, including successful defending, securing strong alliances, and, of course, conquering rivals. Without further ado, let's begin!

WINNERS
1 (B5) Greece
The seemingly endless struggle finally ended, with the Greeks as the resilient victor. Managing to wipe a powerful rival will give you a good spot in the rankings, as Greece finished off mighty FYROM, managing to hold the Serbian expansion southward to a halt. Who knows what the Greeks will do next? Whatever they choose, this is a good start to build upon.
Week rating: 9.4/10
2 (2) Turkey
How about them Turks? Taking the 2 spot for the 2nd straight week, they continued their attack on Bulgaria, taking provinces seemingly at will, its only failure being the Black Coast. That notwithstanding, the Turks' growing empire seems destined to clash with Serbia once again, but with a free Greece on their side, they could be the sidekick in the downfall of the Serbs.
Week rating: 9.2/10
3 (4) Croatia
Sometimes the greatest victories are the ones no one sees. After Croatia's successful takeover of Switzerland, the powerful armies of Croatia spammed Europe with extra firepower, giving many EDEN countries (such as Turkey and Greece) much needed boosts. Although Croatia is not looking to expand, its move to a support role has made it a very powerful nation.
Week rating: 8.5/10
4 (H1) Canada
When you're as weak as Canada is, surviving without the help of father America is mighty impressive. Although Canada made no European gains, it managed to push Spain out of Newfoundland, free parts of Portugal through RWs, and block Poland from attacking. Though it wasn't a flashy week, it certainly was a solid one.
Week rating: 8.1/10
5 (L1) Ukraine
Ukraine is an odd choice, but consider this. Ukraine managed to survive, despite being attacked on two fronts. Getting Romania to keep the initiative, Ukraine seemingly won all the battles it needed to, pushing back Moldova then cutting off Hungary. With an actual net gain for the week in terms of provinces, it definitely was worth the two-province sacrifice.
Week rating: 7.6/10
Honorable Mentions: Romania, Portugal
LOSERS
Just barely good enough: Poland, Chile
B5 (NR) Hungary
Hungary missed a gorgeous opportunity. With Ukraine fighting Moldova and only Romania in their path, they could have easily conquered either country. Alas, though they gained two provinces in Ukraine, they lost much more to Romania, as well as their initiative against Ukraine, as they are losing land at a rapid pace. Hungarians must be kicking themselves for wasting their chance.
Week rating: 3.5/10
B4 (NR) FYROM
FYROM put up a noble effort, and nearly succeeded in defeating Greece many times over the last few weeks, but was ultimately defeated by their adversaries. FYROM was unable to hold off Greece until Serbia came to the rescue, and now that Greece is unoccupied again, they don't look as if letting the Macedonians go is in their playbook. Prepare for a long time in occupation, FYROM.
Week rating: 2.9/10
B3 (NR) Switzerland
For a country that proudly boasts a mighty military, they certainly didn't show any of it off in their war against Croatia, being squashed like bugs within days of the first skirmish. Unless Croatia is merciful, it appears that a purple blob where Switzerland used to be will be there until further notice. Looks like joining the new alliance didn't really work out.
Week rating: 2.1/10
B2 (B4) Bulgaria
Speaking of new alliances, the leader of CoT, set the trend for all its underlings weaker allies, showing how to get crushed with its many defeats against Turkey. With no Serbia to save them this time, unless Bulgaria turns things around, it won't be pretty for the Bulgarians. Can you say Ottoman Empire?
Week rating: 1.4/10
B1 (NR) Spain
It was such an easy opportunity. USA has a NAP with you, so you have clear shot at taking over Canada and gaining some nice land across the sea. But instead of a mighty campaign across the snow, Spain was forced to block off Canada from landing its troops in España?! Losing both its foothold in North America and ceding three provinces in Portugal is not exactly ideal.
Week rating: 0.7/10

I think Canada landing in the #3 spot might have shown bias from u.
we had a great chance to gain some European lands and lost it due to poor organization when it came to fighting the RW in the Azores. Now we are back to where we where a week and a half ago.
No NE and only the UK as an option, or.......or our friends in Ireland
If you consider the position Canada was in, you'd understand my reasoning. Here's a country that's not very strong, versus the most populated country in the world. Yet the Canadians manage to push Spain back AND make them lose provinces to Portugal. That's pretty damn good. Sure, they weren't able to march into Madrid, but considering that most people thought that Canada would be outclassed and wiped, Spain basically surrendering was an outstanding outcome.
Don't you FYROM me. Call me by my name!
Say: MACEDONIA
Since when does Switzerland have a strong military?

temu that's your name FYROM
@GC Historically Switzerland had a powerful and honed military. That's why they were able to avoid invasion in many large wars and stay mostly neutral.
And I won't call FYROM Macedonia until you actually own the province of Macedonia, just for clarification.
Macedonia is and always will be Greek.
You will be Fyrom forever.
