WINNERS

1 (NR) Sweden

In a span of two weeks (sorry, been really busy ;_😉, Sweden has gone from being Lithuania's new plaything to free and proud. The Swedes were helped out by the mighty Russians, who supported the Scandinavian country by conquering Swedish regions and blocking off Lithuania from attacking. Being in the same alliance, the Lithuanians couldn't do anything to stop the Russians that wouldn't result in immediate dismissal. But as Lithuania has swapped to ACT all on their own, the Swedes are the victors. Now, instead of having enemies in both CoT and TWO in Asgard, they can focus on battling their TWO enemies. But for now, protection via Russia!

Week rating: 9.7/10

2 (NR) Albania

Just like Bosnia did beforehand, Albania inspired a massive RW campaign in Serbian-occupied regions. And once again, Serbia was unable to handle the sudden burst of support for the former EDEN nations. Of course, the main goal was to get Albanians a secure congress, naturally by airstriking India (all the cool Balkan kids are doing it), and though Albanians have only succeeded in retaking two of its three home regions, it has already gained its foothold in India, and due to its deal with the Indians, there should be much less trouble than in other instances when it comes to holding the regions. Securing congress is always a huge win.

Week rating: 9.5/10

3 (B3) Canada

Spanish disinterest aside, the Canadians have once again begun a war for liberation. Despite months of occupation dating back to their invasion of Britain, Canada has refused to surrender to their occupiers, and it appears that their patience may indeed pay off. Canada has begun yet another campaign to rid themselves of their Spanish occupiers. With three regions down, Canadians have something to smile about after quite some time. With Asgard's improved relations and TWO's worsening ties with CoT, Canadians may receive a little extra support, perhaps from their old allies, the Americans, in the near future. And that may have the Canadians win at long last.

Week rating: 8.9/10

4 (NR) Israel

Originally Croatia was holding onto this spot, but all things considered, Croatia has little to gain by retaking a few regions in the Balkans that will most likely be reconquered within two weeks. No, Israel was the one with more to lose, and gained more as a result. Unlike Croatia's home regions, Israel is difficult to access from Serbia, and if Israel can kick out Serbia from its lands, a task it almost accomplished previously, they may be free for good. Certainly, it's hard to see Serbia considering the Israelis worth the trouble of piercing through Greece and Turkey to get to. With four regions down and just one holdout, is Israel's freedom imminent?

Week rating: 8.7/10

5 (NR) India

But...but...India got airstriked! Again! How is this possible? Blasphemy! Lies! Slander! Doughnuts! No, it's no typo. India managed to spin Albania's airstrike into a victory. How? Unlike previous airstrikes, where India was simply bullied around, the Indians found a serendipitous stroke of luck. The Albanians actually negotiated a deal with the Indians, giving them rent in exchange for the region, even promising to talk to Croatia about releasing a region for congress. Extra cash in pocket, and possibly improved relations with its occupiers? Perhaps Albania is India's big break.

Week rating: 8.3/10

Honorable Mentions: Latvia, Turkey

LOSERS

Just barely good enough: Austria, Bulgaria

B5 (NR) Germark

Saxony certainly wasn't their fault, as foreign MUs flocked to the region to return it to German control, and, more importantly, cut off Poland from its colonies. Of course, though, Poland quickly retook the region, and with the front still ongoing, Germark has had to deal with a whole lot of crap it did nothing to deserve. Sure, Germark certainly won't be wiped by Poland, thanks to their amicable relations and agreements. But it will certainly cause much headache and havoc for the nation, which it didn't do anything to deserve. It raises concerns that MUs can simply conquer Saxony and create heaps of problems for the German people. At least they won't be wiped...right?

Week rating: 4.0/10

B4 (5) Colombia

Getting wiped is never fun. Colombia made a big step, following Argentina's pro-TWO stance and joining ACT. While that certainly allows them to only focus on one enemy, it's fueled Mexico's war engine even more. Certainly, having Venezuela and nearby Spain as allies would definitely help, but it's unknown how willing they are to help Colombia, and Mexico is still the one that controls half of Colombia, and CoT is the one that controls the continent. While it's undoubted that Colombia was more than slightly influenced by their mighty ally in the south, it certainly doesn't seem, at least in the early going, that joining ACT has helped.

Week rating: 3.7/10

B3 (B4) Ireland

CUA and Ireland are both 404 not found. With their former allies Argentina, Colombia, and Uruguay leaning towards TWO, but Ireland occupied by UK, a TWO member, it has caused great confusion as to the direction the country has to go. Some want Ireland to join their friends on their TWO journey, while others favor fighting against TWO with allies that will support them in such an endeavor. Either way, Ireland is wiped, courtesy of their friendly neighbor Brits. Unless Ireland essentially surrenders to UK, it's unlikely that they'll receive any support from their former partners. A new path must be forged...

Week rating: 3.4/10

B2 (NR) Serbia

Before airstrikes, Serbia had the easiest job imaginable. Even if a rebel country wins its resistance war, Serbia had to flick its wrist and boom, blob restored. However, with the new game mechanic, there's been an increasing amount of activity in the Balkans. Before, it was Croatia, then Bosnia. Now, Albania has also escaped Serbia's mighty grasp, airstriking to be with its bosom buddies in India. Now, while Serbia certainly has the regions and bonuses, it doesn't have the power that it once exerted over its enemies. Plus, Israel might just escape as well, which would leave the Serbs with just the bonuses. Not too glamorous, huh?

Week rating: 2.9/10

B1 (NR) Lithuania

Lithuania's throwing a fit in a hurry, huh? As Russians moved in to rent Swedish regions, and in the process actually help Sweden free themselves, the Lithuanians quickly stormed out of CoT HQ and made a bolt for TWO's puppet minor league ACT. Now, Lithuania has lost all its gains in Scandinavia, reduced to its mere four home regions, while cutting ties with its allies, which they have considered traitors. A logical move, to be sure, but it still leaves the nation in absolute shock considering how well things were going before a fellow CoT nation stepped in. At least now they get to be with their former ABC allies, right?

Week rating: 2.5/10
