WINNERS

1 (-) Argentina

Chile, as some with a sharp eye might be able to tell, isn't really trying in their battles in South America. I know, shocker. But the battles aren't exactly a cakewalk for the Argentinians either. They've earned every single province they've regained since their wipe last week. Reaching the latest zenith in their post-EDEN quest, Argentina has worked with their partners in the regional entente CUA to free both a few regions for brother Colombia in the north and their own territory in the south. CoT's dual occupation strategy of using both Brazil and Chile to hold down the Argentinians has failed after early success. Now, Argentina is fully liberated. To Uruguay or to Chile?

Week rating: 9.7/10

2 (-) Macedonia

Surprisingly, Macedonia losing home regions by wide margins wasn't by accident. Who'd have thunk it? After a successful capital move to the friendly hosts in the United Arab Emirates, Macedonia has fired back with a fiery passion and lit gunpowder all over Greek territory. With its latest poaching of the Ionian Islands, Macedonia has four Greek regions in its pocket, is invading a fifth, has supported Bulgaria in claiming Crete, and has even let Cyprus in on the action. Furthermore, they have their Iranian regions under control, and oppressed revolts in Dubai attempting to send the capital back to the less fertile lands in the Balkans. With a path left open by the Bulgarians, a land bridge is Macedonia's next plan.

Week rating: 9.1/10

3 (-) Russia

Russia can say all they won about the reasons for attacking Iran, but it doesn't really matter who the traitor is, does it? The point is, Russia will still stomp Iran day in and day out. After a brief period of Russian tactical withdrawal (re: retreat), the Russians have broke the Caspian Sea once more to invade northern Iran, taking small chunks of the coastline. Along with their new CoT friend Macedonia to the south, the absolute slaughtering of the Iranians has been all too easy for the winter troops of the Russians. Russia continues to march south at a blistering pace, and a victory appears all too likely.

Week rating: 8.7/10

4 (-) Turkey

Turkey will take those lands with much gratitude. The Bulgarians had distractions elsewhere, and Turkey quickly took the opportunity as they seized a few more regions back from the Bulgarians with fervor and zest. Of course, the ever-so-problematic poison corridor still exists, with a thin stretch of provinces that connects the Balkans to Iran and Asia still belongs to the Bulgarians. In spite of that, however, the Turks have done very well to hold off the Bulgarians. Perhaps they'll take advantage of the free lands to fight off Bulgaria and win back some influence in the region? Maybe? Pretty please?

Week rating: 8.4/10

5 (-) Cyprus

The little island that could, Cyprus was absolutely wrecked by Greek troops, as the tiny two-province nation was quickly wiped by foe EDEN forces, the result of Cyprus swapping sides since their days in Terra working alongside EDEN nations like the very same Greeks. However, their new stance has some benefits as well. Thanks to some CoT help to liberate the island, the Cypriots are free once again. And if their battle holds out, they might just be the owners of the Aegean Islands! Ain't that a kicker? Cyprus may lack the firepower of their neighbors, but they're doing their part remarkably well.

Week rating: 8.1/10

Honorable Mentions: Romania, Colombia

LOSERS

Just barely good enough: Bulgaria, Australia

B5 (-) Chile

Okay okay okay. I get it. Chile's main goal at the moment is to rebuild their land bridge between their regions in once-potentially-friendly-but-now-hostile Australia, so they're not particularly focused on their regions in Argentina, or in all of South America, for that matter. Nevertheless, couldn't the Chileans have at least pretended to care? One week after an Argentinian wipe, their arch-nemesis has already regained all of their lost territory, and Uruguay may be the next to liberate themselves, as the lone spoil of war in South America is cut off from Chilean territory and out of mind. Perhaps things will change if Chile can get its landbridge back, but they're sure putting their eggs in one basket.

Week rating: 3.5/10

B4 (-) Spain

Joyous days for Spaniards worldwide! With continuous RWs from three nations eating away at their supplies, energy, and patience, it was only a matter of time before a RW was successful. Indeed, in the latest batch of revolts, Canada managed to liberate itself from its Spaniard overlords. Venezuela's drain RW very nearly was inadvertently returned as well, while Portugal narrowly lost an RW for their own region of Alentejo, which would've created a two-front war and lots of problems. All things considered, only losing one revolt is a tad impressive. Yet, this also spells trouble for the Spaniards. Is this just a minor fluke or a sign of things to come?

Week rating: 3.1/10

B3 (-) Iran

Noooo, it was going so well! Think back a few weeks, when Macedonia and Russia fully occupied Iran with the speed of a Ninjask after Speed Boost kicks in. Iran managed, against all odds, to eradicate the entire Russian presence from its lands, and even took a few regions from Macedonia. However, such success was not meant to last, as Iran suffered the revenge of the Russians. Iranian soldiers screamed in terror as they desperately tried to fight back Russia, but in vain. With Macedonia not budging an inch, it was brutally simple for Iran: they're simply not strong enough to hold off their two enemies.

Week rating: 2.7/10

B2 (-) South Africa

Yes, I know. South Africa and Brazil are bosom buddies, and the Brazilians are simply protecting them from the scary Indonesians. I get it. Had Brazil not gone to occupy large swaths of South African land, they'd be wiped by now. Yet, it doesn't mean it doesn't suck for South Africa. All of sudden, they've been completely encapsulated and cut off from the rest of the world, and once again need Brazilian support to liberate them. Even if the Brazilians are successful, it may be awhile before South Africa gets all their regions back, if ever. Man, existing solely to be a path for other nations must suck. Eh, Pakistan? 😉

Week rating: 2.4/10

B1 (-) Greece

When Cyprus is beating you, you know you've got some problems. Macedonia temporarily left the Balkans a few weeks back, giving Greeks a victory, yet a hollow one at that. Now that Macedonia has returned, it's spelled trouble for the Greeks. Greece has not only lost on its Macedonian front, but also in two others: the Bulgarian front and, in a hilarious twist, the Cypriot front. Bulgaria has made its way onto the island of Crete, while Cyprus has ejected Greece from its home island and started its journey to the Aegean Islands. Greece looks dead in the water, and may soon be occupied by three nations, including...*snickers*...Cyprus XD I'm sorry, but seriously 😛
