Welcome to another edition of the eRepublik Power Rankings! Here are the rules; the efforts of the top five countries this week will be recognized, and the five worst performances will be mocked, no exceptions! Countries are recognized for many things, including successful defending, securing strong alliances, and, of course, conquering rivals. Without further ado, let's begin!

WINNERS

1 (4) Hungary

For a battle as hyped up as the one between Hungary and America, the actual war was surprisingly one-sided. With Slovenia and Macedonia (the success rule stands) giving some support to the defending nation, Hungary absolutely swamped America in direct confrontation, crushing the Yanks in every single battle, and is at the brink of knocking them full on off the continent. While they did lose a couple of provinces to Belarus as per agreement, every battle that the Hungarians were meant to win was a solid victory. Hungary is on the edge of defending its region and confirming its title as a major power.

Week rating: 9.5/10

2 (2) Indonesia

One down, one to go, right? With some help from Chile, Indonesia cleared out Romanian occupiers from its lands, defeating the mighty foe after many difficult and arduous (woot) battles and driving the Balkan nation out of the continent and off the map. Not stopping there, the Indos have started pressuring Croatia's Oceanic base, 'liberating' a Malaysian province and capturing one themselves and pushing the Croats to the brink, only losing control of Kalimantan. Indonesia is one small step away from clearing out its European invaders and reinstating its regional dominance.

Week rating: 9.1/10

3 (NR) Lithuania

Belarus may have broken free, but Lithuania made sure they didn't stay free for long. Although the Belarusians received their lands back from Hungary, Lithuania put a quick end to their full revival campaign. After a few quick skirmishes, Belarus quickly fell to their northern neighbors, as Lithuania wiped Belarus. Along with the resource bonuses, Lithuania has eliminated its only threat from the map, and looks extremely stable. If EDEN doesn't pour all their support in for the Belarus people, Lithuania may very well hold onto their new property for quite awhile.

Week rating: 8.7/10

4 (NR) Chile

Chile's done a little of everything this week. Not only did they play a part in kicking Romania out of Indonesia, they also held down a fierce Australian revolt that threatened their new occupation. Not only that, they started a reconquista of their fallen lands in the Andes! Along with sending troops to cause havoc in Bolivia and revolt like hell, the Chileans have regained a foothold onto the western region of South America. Thanks to Chile's baby boom, they're now a worthy adversary for the Argentinians, and if they can hold their own against Argentina, only good things can come from it.

Week rating: 8.2/10

5 (1) Macedonia

Continuing my name tradition (I call FYROM Macedonia when they do well), Macedonia played a critical part in holding off America. First off was attacking France in Corsica, both beating up the French once more as well as getting a path into American territory. And then Macedonia went haywire, being part of the perfect kick-America team and capturing most of America's Italian regions. Thanks to Macedonia, the American threat has been all been neutralized. Macedonia has now regained a pathway into France and secured its lands from America. And with France there, it may serve as the buffer state between Macedonia and America, and the Macedonians will take that.

Week rating: 7.6/10

Honorable Mentions: Poland, Latvia

LOSERS

Just barely good enough: Croatia, Sweden

B5 (B3) Romania

And the last province falls! Romania was woefully unprepared for a strong push by the Indos and Chileans to knock them out of Oceania, and they learned the time-old lesson to always have a easy-to-control base (Croatia's alive, aren't they?) instead of merely occupying a superpower. Romania is now wiped, at least for the time being. However, there are positive signs in their revolts, as their first revolt in Muntenia back in the Balkans looks very promising. Although they may very soon return to the map, their absolute failure in Oceania cannot be understated. Stick to the Balkans next time, alright Romania?

Week rating: 4.1/10

B4 (B4) Belarus

Belarus may have signed peace with Hungary (in exchange for the province of Homelskaya), but they seemed to have forgotten their other enemy Lithuania. The breath of fresh air that came with their liberation didn't last long, as Lithuania quickly wiped the crimson nation. Due to their troubles and lack of military support, Belarus even made the monumental decision to leave EDEN, further reducing their short-term chances for freedom. Until Belarus can find a new set of core allies (Asgard anyone?), it seems unlikely that they will break free save for an act of mercy the Lithuanians' way.

Week rating: 3.4/10

B3 (NR) Argentina

This is what happens when you have a large and powerful nation but an army that's falling behind just a tad. Argentina had three revolts to deal with at any single moment, and as soon as Chile funded its troops, the second war had begun. Chile recaptured a province in South America, Peru revolted its province partitioned to the Argentinians, and revolts started under the false flag of the Bolivia. While it's clear that merely defeating the Chileans will end the threat, it won't be nearly as easy as it would have been even two months ago. Argentina will have a tough time holding back Chile.

Week rating: 2.6/10

B2 (NR) Canada

As noble as attacking Spain was, it certainly didn't work out for Canada's physical safety. Or something. Either way, Poland attacked and absolutely slaughtered Canadian defenses, quickly wiping the northern nation. The fights weren't even close, as Canada opted to not even fight back, for fear of an extended wipe. Nevertheless, Canada is now wiped, and though it appears that Poland is willing to give them their lands back, it certainly won't be easy. More importantly, Canada's failed attempt at supporting Portugal and Colombia showed how helpless their position is. And if there's anything that's tragic, it's being helpless.

Week rating: 2.4/10

B1 (H1) USA

America's great plan was to defeat Hungary, show Poland not to mess with them, and get in a position of superiority so they could either convince or intimidate Poland to stop MPPing Hungary, or be strong enough to go without them. Instead, the Americans were absolutely decimated not only by Hungarians, but by the Slovenian and Macedonians as well, losing all their progress in Austria as well as their Italian and French lands. While returning three of their French lands back to the native government blocks Macedonia from invading once again, it also prevents the opposite as well. America has completely failed in its attack of Hungary.
