I would agree with you that the system is fine and that we need changes/improvements within it.

In respect of Congress, I haven't been in it for the last 2 terms but if "Congress broke down about 3 weeks ago" then that is a failing of those in Congress. Remember with the best will in the world if only a few are prepared to put in the effort while the rest idle - then very little is going to happen.

If and I stress If we get a Congress this term, it's only going to be 10 members - 2 from each party, so that could work well or not, I'm not sure. It will depend on co-operation between Congress and Government and how much effort people are prepared to put in. If there is a small Congress this term - it could be an opportunity to include extra people in government to get some more activity and inclusion.

As far as the government as a whole is concerned and certainly for next term, we do need to establish that we get the best people and all the best people involved as much as possible. Broad, cross-party inclusive government should be the aim, if and wherever possible. The onus for this rests as much with people to be prepared to get themselves involved as it is for them to be included by others - we need our community acting together at this time.

I for one, as I'm sure most of us do, like to think we listen and take on board other peoples concerns, considerations and point of view for the benefit of what we are trying to achieve.

Those are my thoughts at this time.

A National Government might very well be a step in the right direction, but would require active members from all parties involved and is still no guarantee that anything would get done. Still, it's refreshing that we can agree on the principle for once!

We need to do some drastic things I think to save the UK from dying. The current system of government has failed and with even less congressmen this next month it'll get even worse. I'd go with either direct democracy or some system where congress are chosen by the PP's from every party in the UK, not just the top 5, and can be replaced by the PP's on a weekly basis based on there activity.

Government wise, your idea is good, although if someone is good at say foreign affairs for example they would be excluded from working in that department if the were in the wrong party. Although new people would be stepping up and learning how do those jobs so it could be good.

Part of the problem I think is that the active players are too spread out in different MU's. With a declining population the opportunity to meet and talk to other players decreases and so does peoples interest in the game. If a new player joins say PCP and Funky Militia they ain't going to stay around for very long. The area people need to be working together in is military. Maybe it's time to start thinking about a national MU.

I was going to include total Democracy idea but that could be added on as I agree with that 100% ,TBH the unit I'm in are going from strength to strength I think we have the most chat active MU in the UK think we have 12/13 active right now who talk not just idle.

I've said for a long time that the country has too many political parties and especially MUs for it's population. Many of these are set up as personal aggransisement projects and cast away just as quickly. How many more times do we have to keep a wary eye out for forig-controlled UK MUs before we, as a nation, realise it's a Truly Stupid Thing?

Looking at what happened to Macedonia yesterday where USA launched a hostile coup to preempt a potential war is an example of why we must not have game mechanic democracy. Yes someone may decide to chance themselves with 200k (a relatively small amount in erep these days) to get democracy but we would still have a chances to defeat them and get a defensive coup in first.

A Congress selected by the PP's is certainly an interesting prospect, particularly if like now we are only going to get 10. But, how do you decide in what proportions and do we assume the elected Congress would be ignored?

You could just uses the amount of party members and divide up the seats as a percentage. And yes to ignoring the elected congress 🙂

A whole party running a ministry would be quite a pain. Can be hard to communicate between a whole party if a bunch of the members of said party don't read PMs.

Plus for roles like MoFA, forigs usually like knowing who they should contact and if they've got a choice of like 40+ people then well... idek

Let's be honest, P.L.U.TO. is dead alliance. The only support we can expect from Spain but even they do not really stressing over our deleting.
