Vote Swagger McSwag For Visayas!

Day 550, 08:20 Published in Philippines Philippines by Swagger McSwag

Mga kababayan (My countrymen),

Maligayang pagbati (Warm greetings)!

I am proud to announce that I am representing Visayas in the Congress Elections on May 25.

Please vote me. Maraming salamat po (Thank you very much).

About Swagger McSwag

I’m Swagger McSwag, 2 months and 9 days old in eRepublik. In real life, I’m “half-half”. Half-Ilocano, half-Bisaya. XD

So, I’ve decided to run for the Visayas for a change.

I was a member of the third Philippine Congress and represented Luzon at that time. As Congressman, I am proud to say that I voted on ALL proposals (except those that came when I left to fight in Turkey and Indonesia). While in Congress, I fought relentlessly against the unholy Secta del Guru Varnish Spanish breakaway faction, and was one of the foremost advocates of the successful April 25 FPM-PFF Coalition Government.

With a coalition government in place, we won a sizable portion of Congress and, eventually, the presidency with both the PFF and FPM campaigning side by side for each other and for a common presidential candidate.

Currently, I continue to work for the government as the Ambassador of the Philippines to Japan and as a Supervisor in the Department of Home Affairs, where I directly manage DoHA Food Q3 (formerly BOP Foods), the number one company in the Philippines, and the ONLY local producer and distributor of (affordable) 3-star food products in the country.

I also publish and write for The eRepublik Outisder, one of the country’s most-read newspapers. I also founded the Philippine Press Club, an organization which played an instrumental role during the May 5 presidential election campaigns.

In just a little over 2 months, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and information with regards to the applications of journalism, public relations, macroeconomics, microeconomics and political theory in eRepublik. Building upon this knowledge, I wish to continue serving the Filipino people as a member of the Philippine Congress where I will be of most use to our country and to the rest of the world.

Publicity, Thought and Strategic Power

Once more, I promise to do what I always do: bring fresh ideas to the table, find key areas of improvement in the way we get things done around here, and seek out ways to make the Philippines a much more interesting place to live in.

I will contribute publicity, thought and strategic power - and, when I get rich enough, even money - to the government and to the people.

Once again, I will vote on EACH and EVERY proposal.

Revisiting and Optimizing Tax Reform

About two months ago, the second Philippine Congress implemented a comprehensive tax reform program that allowed the then-crippled national economy to recover. Today, we feel the effects of this program. We have encouraged growth in desired economic sectors and the national treasury is steadily growing.

I propose that we revisit and reevaluate our taxes in order to find ways to improve and optimize it for the betterment of our economy, and to further accelerate the growth of our national treasury to eventually allow us to procure high-quality hospitals and defense systems for ALL the regions of our country.

And Much, Much More

I have lots of other ideas and plans. But these will make do for now.

The Philippines still has a long way to go. We need to establish more diplomatic ties with our neighbors and strengthen existing ones. We need to optimize the performance of our government agencies. We might need to create new ones to fill a emerging need. We need hospitals and more defense systems. We need more citizens and more industries.

I shall help in whichever way I can and provide my views when they are needed. Let us all see this country to greatness.

Please vote Swagger McSwag for a Kick-Ass Republic of the Philippines!

I look forward to your support on May 25. Mabuhay tayong lahat!

Sincerely yours,

Swagger McSwag
