The Hungarian Revolution of 1956 or Hungarian Uprising of 1956 was a spontaneous nationwide revolt against the government of the Hungarian People's Republic and its Soviet-imposed policies, lasting from 23 October until 10 November 1956. Though leaderless when it first began, it was the first major threat to Soviet control since the USSR's forces drove out the Nazis at the end of World War II and occupied Eastern Europe. Despite the failure of the uprising, it was highly influential, and came to play a role in the downfall of the Soviet Union decades later.
Over 2,500 Hungarians and 700 Soviet troops were killed in the conflict, and 200,000 Hungarians fled as refugees.
At the inauguration of the Third Hungarian Republic in 1989, 23 October was declared to one of the most important national day.

Komolyan lesüllyedünk a románok színvonalára? Ha 1918.12.01. ünneplése rosszul esik, Észak-Erdély visszacsatolásának katonai parádéba burkolt "ünneplése" Marosvásárhelyen rosszul esik, akkor normális dolog az oroszoknak ilyeneket írni? Még ha az elftársaknak írnátok, oké - de itt feltételezem főleg az átlag orosz játszik, ők miért is érintettek ebben?
Szégyen, hogy nem tudunk MAGUNKÉRT emlékezni, a SAJÁT összefogásunkat méltóan megünnepelni. Mióta szorulunk mi rá arra, hogy más ellenében definiáljuk önmagunkat?
Mielőtt félreértenétek, nem román meg orosz barát vagyok, hanem magyarhoz nem méltó viselkedésnek tartom. Ezzel a mentalitással nem maradtunk volna meg a Kárpát-medencében...
Nem értem félre és vállalom, hogy provokáció-gyanús a dolog. DE, ha beszélsz angolul olvasd el az oroszok kommentjeit és a válaszaimat.
Észak-Erdély visszacsatolásának ünneplése és okt 23 teljesen más "tészta". Akkor lenne hasonló ha oroszok lennénk és mi ünnepelnénk a forradalom leverését.
Olvastam őket. Nyilván ők se jobbak a Deákné vásznánál. De ami nekünk egy jó poén (lehetne), az nekik úgy tűnik, nem az. Kíváncsi leszek a magyar sajtóra november 4. táján. Másrészt írták volna-e ezt maguktól, cikk nélkül?
Szerintem ez egy szükségtelen húzás volt - úgy, hogy a fegyveres semlegesség felé indultunk el a játékban meg pláne.
