... Did you... I don't know... completely ignore -everything- that happened for the week prior to the election, the day of the election, and everything that's happened since then? If you paid the slightest bit of attention, you'd realize that you're completely wrong. Did Loomis bribe you or something? Or did he act all friendly in a PM and that won you over? Or do you support him because he's a real life friend or something?

Before the election happened, Loomis tried to act far less threatening than he was. He gave little hint to the fact that he intended to destroy the party as we know it, and we all just assumed that he was some random guy who had decided to candidate himself for the lulz or because he didn't really understand how things worked. We responded to his topics on these forums where he proclaimed himself to be "the best candidate" mostly out of a mix of pity and humor, trying to help him out and help him see that the "platform" he was running on was neither viable in this game nor something one should base a run for Party President on anyway. When he first started talking on the forums, he didn't even have a public plan for what he intended to do to better the party. When prompted for more information, his responses tended to consist of him repeatedly saying "If anything ever happens I'll just ask everyone what they want to do." We all assumed he just didn't realize that that wasn't a very good plan.

So, naturally, none of us assumed he'd get anywhere. I mean, really. Compare that to timothybeasley's thorough and fantastic plan of how he would help this Party. Especially after Kylero (the PP for the previous two months) pulled out of the race to endorse timothybeasley. After all of this, who in the world would vote for Loomis? It wasn't even something that crossed my mind. The choice was so obvious. Voting for Loomis was a vote for idiocy.

So then imagine all of our surprise when we got on the next morning or whenever, and saw that... not only had people actually voted for Jimmy Loomis, but he was in the lead -- and most of the time by a fair margin. Couple this with a time where he told Kylero he'd move votes to win, and when he proposed bribing people to join the Green Party, and it was more than clear that he was busing in votes from other parties. If you're not sure what exactly that implies, it basically means he was denying us the true essence of democracy, exploiting the game mechanics to his advantage, and really just being a tyrant.

Those of us who were actually active in the Green Party and new what a poor choice of a candidate he was were naturally concerned. At this point, few of us really thought that he had any bad intentions or sinister plans for the Green Party if he won. We didn't want him to win, of course, because he was simply a bad candidate. We didn't think he'd do anything productive. He didn't have what it takes to be a successful President of the Green Party, we said. He had more than proven that in the couple of topics he'd bothered to post in on these forums. We didn't assume that he would hurt the party intentionally if he won, just that he would prove to be an ineffective leader, which is something that would quickly lead to decline, stagnation, and failure within the Party.

So we naturally took steps to counter this. As the day passed and timothybeasley gained more votes, at times tying with and even once I believe surpassing Loomis, Loomis became more and more desperate to win. Instead of covertly moving votes he set up citizen ads on eRepublik itself offering $100 to anyone who would vote for him. That's pretty despicable. On top of that, he said on these forums that he would "hang himself" if he lost. Hold on maybe I can find the exact quote actually. Right, here it is:

"i think i am going to kill myself now seriouly. i told myslef i would hang myself if i lost, and im gonn akeep that promise. I swear to god i am going to kill myself"

Pretty impressive. Is that who you want leading us? Someone buying votes, and threatening to kill himself if he loses an election?

Right so, we asked people of integrity from other parties to come help us and stop what was starting to look more and more like a PTO. And some of them responded. By the end of the night, timothybeasley had almost passed Loomis. But then Loomis returned with additional citizen ads and his vote count jumped up another four in the last hour.

So now, Jimmy Loomis is Party President of the US Green Party. And what has he done since then? Nothing productive, that's for sure. As for our forums, he's deleted all of the posts, and several of the forums. He's abolished a few branches of the party that didn't quite please him. He's deleted really anything that contradicts him.

He's also changed our Party to 'authoritarian'. Not to mention he's said some lovely things like "Eat my cock Green Party". Oh yes, I can see how he's got the Party's best interests in mind. The staff members that were left after the election resigned.

So how can you possible say that Jimmy Loomis is a "step in the right direction" for the Green Party? How can you possibly support him?
