Day 750, 14:02 Published in USA Belgium by Kylero

Fellow Greens,

Last night, the USGP held a PP debate between Candidate Sam Kraus and myself. Candidate Shakespiere was not in attendance.

The debate consisted a of a healthy discussion on the future of this party and what us two candidates want to accomplish. I would like to thank our moderator, sonofup1, for putting this all together at such short notice. I would also like to thank Candidate Kraus for his participation.

Both Mr. Kraus and I agree in many respects, such as growing the party, increasing activity by members, and the need for national recognition. In some of these areas, we don't prioritize similarily, but we both want what's best for this party. So, in sum, we are both commited to seeing what is best for the party.

Now, the main difference lies in who can better carry out these plans. It has to come down to, who has an idea to help the party thrive, and who HAS helped this party become what it is today. It needs to be noted that the party would be nearly non-existant without my leadership during the moths of August and September, and my willingness to see the that the party stay intact after the Loomis debacle. Without my prior actions, nobody would want to be the PP of such an insignificant party. But now, as shown by last night's debate, it is seen as a worthy cause.

I would like to clear up any doubts about my dedication to this party. I understand many of the newer players doubts, since I have been two-clicking for about a month, but that was because I'm in my senior year of University (Ohio State), studying for the GRE, and applying to Grad school (Environmental Planning), all at once. That is nearly all completed, starting today. As for the members who KNOW my capabilities, those who KNOW what kind of leadership I would provide, I'm at a loss of words to describe how disappointing it is to be cast aside as such.

For you newer Greens, let me give you a run down of what the party was like before I was elected to my first term as PP in August. The PP at the time was extremely inactive, and left the game for two weeks without any notice. Would you expect that today of a PP? No. The party had no leadership structure, no Press Director. I assumed the role of Press Director, and helped get the word out about the Green Party. I connected with every member, and told them of my plans. The forums were defunct. I took it upon myself to build a new USGP forums, and invited all members. I proposed a cabinet structure for the party leadership. When I was elected, the country was decimated, we only had two states. The membership level dropped from 65 members, to 40. But this did not stop me. I ensured that the Greens would not die off. During my terms, we had a Green elected to Congress, a Press Director who spread the word of the Green, and an active party base. This was unprecedented for such a small party, but we weren't small under my leadership, we rose to 7th largest party in the country, trailing the Feds, larger than the Dems and the SFP. A party poll agreed that I should be made a USGP Saint. Then, knowing that I would be swamped with school work, I passed the torch to timothybeasley, and we lost that election to a PTO by Jimmy Loomis. We were appalled, but our work was not done. Tim won election this past month, but has struggled to reach the bar that I left for him.

Now I'm ready to assume control again, and I feel I deserve it. Give me one more chance Greens, and we'll be a force to be reckoned with, you have my word!

Onward!
