USA to be targeted as Europe unites – Unless Croatia goes their own way.
The reshuffling of alliances has continued through New Year celebrations and as the crucial presidential elections where leaders are elected who will permanently change the geopolitical situation of the world are nearing, emotions and rumors run high. In this article I will take a look on the rumor that has been flying around the most, a fivesome of European superpowers that could come out as a powerful adversary for PANAM, if these two alliances would collide. I will also dedicate a special section for Croatia, as their reluctance towards the idea of a European superalliance can bring the whole endeavor down.

The concept of an unholy alliance of these measures is the thought that the nations of Europe can settle their differences that have been created in game and form ties of friendship based on good real life relations. If the nations proposed to join value their similar culture, history and background in real life more than the actions and events in eRepublik’s history, this alliance can be formed. The battle between two ideologies and their supporters, those who think that real life is a factor in eRepublik, and those who think that eRpublik is a new world where real life should be forgotten and set aside, must be solved for good in order to make this alliance a real option.
We all know who emerged as winner and how that ended...poorly.
The proposed nations to form the superalliance are Poland, Hungary, Serbia and Turkey. In addition the memberships of Croatia and Macedonia (trololo) have been proposed, with Croatia having internal disarray regarding the matter (more about that in the section for Croatia) that is for now delaying the formation of the alliance. All proposed nations are close to each other, forming a regional alliance as tight as PANAM, and the alliance would have members from both sides of the current Eden-Phoenix division resembling the recent Brozil-USA-union. There are grave antipathies in the Eastern Europe-Balkan axis, due to troubled RL-history and intense warfare on the region during the entire history of eRepublik as well. If these prejudices and grudges can be overcome, the RL-relationships ranging over the current alliances and denying membership from a certain nation can be enough to make this alliance happen. These are the two factors that are the main engines of this alliances possible formation.

Hardly ever can you see Poles and Serbians insulting each other or publishing deceitful propaganda. Both nations have adjusted themselves to being leaders and cooperation between them should not be hard. As Serbia has close relationships with Hungary and Macedonia already, the theoretical alliance of European superpowers is being built on a healthy ground.
Can united Europe conquer the entire world?
Eastern Europe and Balkan area has the biggest concentration of battles per square mile. Hundreds of battles have been witnessed in the eternal wars between Serbia and Croatia and Romania and Hungary, but the emerging superalliance would extinguish these raging flames of war and bring peace to this war-ridden region. If PANAM decides to be a regional alliance and stay out of Europe’s business unless there are interests to protect, Romania will find themselves from a very lonely position. If Croatia can put aside their friendship with Romania and join the superalliance with Poland, even the entire rest of the world couldn’t save Romania. If Romania falls, the rest of Europe will fall as well. The remnants of Phoenix can’t organize in to a fighting force strong enough to stop the menace that is High5 from laying foot on whatever they want. The combined populations of Serbia, Poland, Turkey, Hungary and Croatia are over 30% of the entire population of eRepublik, and these 5 nations inflicted 37,6% of all damage inflicted on day 1138. (stats taken from here.) Europe can’t resist this kind of force for long, and the Eastern superalliance will look for new challenges. They will set their aim on us.

If the superalliance is aiming to conquer the Americas, we are bound to muster nearly the entire rest of the world to defend alongside us in order to prevent from being invaded. If the superalliance is formed, we must start to form new friendships as quickly as possible and extend the role of PANAM from regional to global. Otherwise we will find ourselves from a very undesirable situation, as the bipolar world of tomorrow is going to be a battle of an overwhelming force and an underdog. I can’t see how we could live in coexistence with an alliance that can dominate their home continent and has all the abilities to extend their influence as far as they see fit.

Several of the greatest victories of Eden were attained on the fields of Slavonia and North West Croatia, which were popular targets for the feared double whammy of Serbia and Hungary. In Operation World in Flames, Croatia attacked both Serbia and Hungary, but failed and paid a hefty price on the final days of V1, when Serbia, Hungary and Slovenia invaded and endangered Croatia to a PTO, which however was evaded with substantial Eden help.

However, when it was Croatia’s turn to return the favor, a minority of the congress voted no, but as a 66% majority is needed to pass changes to Natural Enemy, the proposal failed. A Croatian attack on Serbian Vojvodina ensued, and a vote to return Croatia’s status as Natural enemy was ignited. The Serbian congress however voted “No” nearly unanimously, showing tolerance and allowing Croatia to have a proper public discussion regarding their future.

72,58 % vs 27,42% (200 people who took the time to fill survey) against , If you look at the newpaper articles and comments the percentage is even bigger , probably over 80%
stop thinking about us as madmans obsessed with serbia , thats not the main issue here, the issue is abandoning romania,greece,spain,usa, most uf us (70-80%) would never had fun fighting those who many times scarified their own countries to help us

If we have we'll be last member of EDEN, but surely wont let down people who fought with us for last 2 years, even if this is a game some honor exists. If everyone else switch their sides we surely wont, and if deleting us is the price so be it.

Firstly Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and Spain aren't pushovers and if we add the remnants of Phoenix and the remnants of EDEN I think that still the Poland-Hungary-Serbia-Turkey-Macedonia alliance isn't enough strong to conquer whole Europe.

Excellent article. I think you may be overestimating the strength of the big 4 (Turk Hungary Serbs Poland). France, Spain, Italy, Russia, Greece, Croatia, Indo, Brazil, USA, Indo, Argentina are more powerful if we could unite. They wouldn't be able to single handedly take over.

Principe Alessandro new alliances wont change the fact that the game is dull and boring. Only new, positive changes can do that... after all admins made it boring in the first place and no matter what alliance and enemies you choose game will stay the same.

If High5 did exist and did attempt to reach the USA (although all that would need to happen for that is a Polish NE declaration on the US, but lets disregard that) then why would Germany and France lay down and let them do it? Germany would surely align against Poland and France would probably finalize their peace with Spain and, if not join PANAM, fight along side them.

Emericka should intervene (with other EDEN countries) and all together liberate Bosnia first. Push eSrbija back to its original regions and deal with eSerbian European 'island' Upper Carniola. 'Close' them in their original borders, or even erase them from the map, change negotion positions, make PANAM part of EDEN and write eHistory in victorious EDEN way.

if this new alliance turns out to be just Pheonix with added polish feathers I will be utterly disapointed...
Even if alliance does succeed, balance will remain same, as Brazil changed place with Poland. And if other Phenix countries join ex-EDEN that will definitely make "rest of the world" stronger.
Anyway I think that this game need some actions as battles became boring and annoying. Diplomacy is only remaining thing left, after admins "made it a better place" and we should play it before admins release new 4.0 eRepublik where alliances are made by randoms : )

Now wars are like our daily routine. Not so long ago, we hold our breath when LK, Hello Kitty, Central Hungary, Slavonia, WSR, or California under attack. But now we just say, "What? We just attacking Slavonia? Ohh okay, catch with you later, I have to make my monthly report first..."
A while ago when those kinda things happen, we'd say, "Wuttttt?? LK is under attack??? crap, crap, crap!! Organize our troop, prepare for full mobile, I'll try to log on by lunch. I've to finish my monthly report first. Don't forget all the logistic for our troops..."
Now it's just daily routine....
Too bad, I loved Poland. Oh well, masks downs I guess..

I did talk about Romania in the article, but by no means they would be the primary target. If PANAM abandons Romania, they will fall within days. Nothing can win invading USA.
I planned to write about France as well, their position as the main barrier by land mass between America and the dark forces gathering in the east is indeed interesting, especially now when USA is trying to bind closer ties with them. Also both nations have Poland inside them, a nation that might turn hostile in the future. But I got to save something for future articles.
If some Croatian could link me to that referendum about signing a peace with Serbia, I'd be very grateful. It sounded interesting enough to be added in to the article as a source.

Romania wouldn't be the target, unless they start doing all the wrong things. And I don't see them doing that when they could gain as well by teaming up.
1. Only reason Serbia and Hungary are looking to form a superalliance is because they ruined a relationship with most of their former allies and because they can't conquer anything as long as Croatia/Romania are in their way
2. The reason Croatia refuses peace is not because we hate Serbia, it's because Serbia gains much, MUCH more from the peace as they have a region in Slovenia and want to expand west
3. Croatia will not join an alliance that excludes our current allies and I'd like to think Poland wouldn't betray Croatia so this superalliance will not happen under current conditions
Turkey is NOT in europe.so a european alliance with turkey is not european.
Secondly they managed to conquer one(!) region from e-Greece during the new year eve when the whole world was on parties(trolololo).
This "superalliance" is not actually so super.It needs far more power to call her "superalliance"

You're making things a bit more simple than what they are, Sossu.
If Serbia _really_ wanted to have this kind of alliance, the best course of action for them would be to cede their regions in Slovenia and return to their original borders. Then propose peace with Croatia. Ever since Serbia lost their possessions in Asia, they've tried to break out. Now they have succeeded and are more than willing to sign peace with Croatia so that they could concentrate their damage elsewhere.
