New White House Press Secretary

The first thing I would like to say is thank you to my good friend Claire Littleton, our first White House Press Secretary, for setting a standard in eGovernment communication with the public which has not been seen before. Although I will miss her as WHPS, I look forward to her continued work in the eUSA and her great articles in A Little Claire-ification. Claire has set the bar and given me a challenge to live up to as your new White House Press Secretary.

For those who do not know me, I am a member of the eUSNG, Division 1, Delta platoon and I have just completed my 100th straight day in eRepublik (3 hard worker medals). I first started when Justinious was president and then Uncle Sam's 2 terms and now scrabman and I've always kept up communication with all of our presidents. I thank president scrabman for appointing me as WHPS and I will honorably accept and execute this challenge.

Like president scrabman, I am also in my late 30's (scrabman's younger than I am). I am a real life father of 3 children and have several jobs, one of which is a financial analyst, which I have fun with and was what attracted me to starting Global Currency Update, a paper dedicated to making money and building wealth in eRepublik.

I also started a paper called Freedom & Responsibility for 2 reasons:
1. I had to learn eRepublik the hard way, through trial and error. Luckily, with the help of some other players, I learned what I needed to do to survive and become successful in eUSA. I realized that newer players needed a resource where they could find the answers to their questions and be shown that there is more to do in eRepublik than simply pressing the "Work" and "Train" buttons.

2. I felt that many players (especially younger ones) don't realize that our image in the world and our relationships with other countries is what will help us "win" in eRepublik and that we can't do it alone, no matter how many military battles we engage in. It is easy for another nation (or player) to hate one that they view as rude, arrogant, obnoxious or unintelligent. I felt that a standard needed to be set for intelligent media that would encourage the development of solid leadership in the eUSA, the only way our country will achieve the success in eRepublik we deserve. I hope to bring this attitude to the more visible position of WHPS as well.

Over the past 3+ months, I've made 140+ eFriends from all different political parties and ideological backgrounds by being open to listen to their ideas and drawing my own conclusions. The best ideas never come from any one individual; they come from collective minds working together toward common progress, which is one of the reasons why I ran for congress. Rejecting everyone else who does not follow your exact train of thought can only result in mediocrity. None of us are already at our potential; there is always room to grow and get better, as individuals and as a nation.

To all the people of the eUSA, as your new WHPS, I am committed to bringing fluid communication from our government to our people and I am honored to serve you in this capacity.
