Unite us !! Unite the clans.
William Duncan
- William Wallace (Mel Gibson), speaking to a gathering of Scottish warriors, in the 1995 film, “Braveheart.”
I hope you watch the quote in its context here in this short YouTube clip:

The sound score alone is worth it.
WILLIAM WALLACE, in the above quote, was speaking in a tone of humility and even awe. He sounded as if the sight then before his eyes could have moved him to tears. His voice portrays a man who’s stirring with deep and powerful emotion.
Such was the impact of seeing “a whole army of my countrymen” on dear William. For once, the usually divided clans of Scotland, who then continually warred in and amongst each other, were finally united and fighting against their common enemy.
…I think we might have some lessons to learn from this.
The Source of Canada’s Clans
Following the unprecedented Battle of Ontario on the 6th of August, that day of infamy, and the subsequent occupation of our dear eCanada, we lost the normal recourse to political parties for organizing our bickering and disputes. Naturally, though the parties were then gone, the divisions remained, and on top of those divisions a generation of lost, disillusioned, confused, and displaced eCanadians was added into the fray. With this, eCanada is now seeing a shift from political party status to a clan affiliation (or faction if you like), each organizing its own pseudo-governments, its own paramilitary forces, its own hierarchies and mission statements. Naturally, each clan claims as its goal the total restoration of eCanada, admitting only a difference in method between one another, and each clan’s method is its own justification. Each has its own nobleman that they cry up as the rightful heir to the throne of eCanada, the true and rightful King of a restored eCanada.
The Divisions Showing in the Battle of British Colombia
Yesterday I was in eCanada’s official chat room, ready to go to bed, confident in the allied plans for the day to come, when suddenly there appeared a few men proclaiming a new Resistance War (RW) to liberate eCanada from French occupation in British Colombia (BC), and insisting everyone suddenly give aid to their cause and join in the fight.
The battle was well timed; a late night strike (2:00AM EST; 5:00AM-ish in France), and coincidentally (or was it?) another RW was begun in another French occupied region, this time in Cantabria, Spain (which unlike our BC is not an important “High Resource” region). Because of the night attack strategy, French forces didn’t have time to fight in BC yesterday before the clock rolled over, and they will also have to consider the other RW in Spain before committing any forces today.
The only trouble is that the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), our Army, was unaware of this plan to start an RW in BC; furthermore, neither were our friends and allies aware until after the battle started, and lastly, Citizens who have returned to recently liberated Alberta are also unable to join in this RW, unless they can afford 4 Moving Tickets (MTs) to get to a French Q5 Hospital region (it takes 2 to get there), and then come back (another 2 MTs). Money which could have spent on weapons.
I was told last night that certain eCanadian clans, two or possibly three in number, decided to all take part in this RW, and had orders to do so. Though these clans do boast a considerable paramilitary force between them, and a few strong and heavy hitters, they are not enough to counter the combined forces of eFrance’s citizens, the eFrench Army, and most importantly PEACE GC’s potential reinforcements, should such forces be deployed to BC.
United we would have had no difficulty liberating BC, though if eCanadian and Allied reinforcements can manage to make it to the RW, we still stand a good chance of winning today. But if we had united the clans beforehand, as it were, instead of opening a surprise RW, and rather outright attacked BC from Alberta, then we could have committed the CAF, the paramilitary forces of the clans, and also included our citizens who could have fought from home in Alberta. We also could have coordinated with Allies, and been bolstered by their powerful armies. If we had done as the clans had done, and timed the battle for a night strike, and coordinated to start other battles elsewhere in the eWorld, we could have effectively divided PEACE GC's forces, and we could have been assured of success in BC, as well as all over the eWorld, had only we been united and working together. Alas, these opportunities are reduced, but thankfully not altogether lost.
Unite us! Unite the clans.
We are at best lucky in BC, insofar as this RW did not brazenly interfere with any Allied plans for winning this war and liberating eCanada; however, next time we may not be so lucky, and the clans may risk (albeit unintentionally) sabotaging a part of the Allied War Effort. Consider, however, how much more success, how much more strength we could have mustered had we only worked together, as one, and not have been broken into these clans! The Allied Forces have demonstrated we can liberate our countries, but only when we work together, and how much more liberating eCanada could do if only we communicated; if only we united under our one flag, and joined forces to liberate our country. What a force we have shown ourselves to be! We are dread to our foes, their continual bane; we are hope and inspiration to all of our allies, and yet we choose to be divided !?!
I am not as skilled as Mel Gibson when it comes to writing inspirational speeches, but I certainly do feel like William Wallace today when he said,
“And I see a whole army of my countrymen, here, in defiance of tyranny.”
Let’s unite the clans.
Let’s finish the job.
Let’s liberate our country.
Let’s help our friends and allies.
Let’s win this war.

You have the right sentiment, WD. All you need now is a plan...and a charismatic leader who's not afraid to have his guts ripped out.
Right now having so many factions may not be all that detrimental, since it confuses our enemies just as much as regular eCanadians. But if we want to survive we'll need to get organzied and coordinate our efforts or it's back to the old days of CAD thefts, info leaks, and political chicanery.

Fantastic!
Its to bad we are as divided as the clans in the movie. Old feuds, hate and mistrust. Most cannot put those aside for the benefit of all. Currently we can't even get the time of day from the CAF although the command of Brucks Canucks has tried. Hopefully this shows that we mean well and are not politically motivated as is the current worry. GL to us all.
Give us someone to unite under, we are not political, just average e Canadians fighting for what is the rightfully ours, our province of BC. We have the advantage and can win this one; this was started by e Canadians, for e Canadians to help e Canada.
Is there anything more Canadian than that?
Put egos aside folks, this is a battle for BC!
Voted and subscribed
Also it was solely Dean's idea to RW BC. He funded the RW entirely on his own 😃
Our participation in this battle has helped Spain. I have no idea what 'plans' there were for battle today. I do know that as soon as I saw this RW last night, it was clear to me that this was a well timed and appropriate move.
France could not focus on us, because Spain is more of a threat to them. Even if our RW fails, it has allowed for the success of the Spanish RW and still draws attention away from a SECOND Spanish RW.
Even if France Defeats us in this RW, we should start a second immediately.
Spain needs us to distract France.
We aren't a clan :/
LOL, it seems like a perfectly timed strike to me, 3 RW's against France at the same time?
I do not know who started the RW's, or who organized this whole event, but whoever did, should get an award.
Unite simply means compromise.

Spain seems to like the Idea. They have Identified the Battle in BC to be THEIR top priority. To bad the Government of Canada does not.
Isn't the Canadian Government refusing to speak with the Resistance Movements for some stupid reason? How is it our fault you weren't aware?
Their not refusing, their just ignoring us, giving us the cold shoulder.
Also, why is it that the Canadians government has to make a big deal out of the something they should be thanking us for??
Hell, look above, Like the Redjack said, Spain has made it official, yet the our government continues to bash us for fighting for our country.
@ Alaricus - I think your misinterpreted the article, I in fact praised the RW timing as it was a night attack, giving us between 1 and 2 hours to attack the wall and heal, then repeat again today, while France and friends were quietly sleeping in their beds, and then only able to attack today. It was a smart time to do it 🙂.
Still, an actual direct attack, instead of an RW, would have allowed more people to fight in the battle of BC, because it would have cost 0 moving tickets for Citizens in Canada to fight in it, and only 1 MT for our citizens to come home and fight, and 2 MTs for our allies abroad.
@Rejack - yes of course they like the idea, it's another chance for the Spanish to stick it to the French 🙂. They like that as much as we do.
@Spencer Magee - I can only speak for myself, but I haven't received an official communication from the CRM. Bruck's Cannucks, however, have sent me a reply to one of my inquiries, and Bruck was forthcoming with some information.
Lastly, Canada and our allies absolutely do want to win this RW. It was "badly timed" only insomuch as our armies weren't prepared for this RW battle; namely, all the moving tickets required to fight in it (x4 per Soldier). Luckily our Spanish comrades are more than happy to deliver some French butt kicking in BC 🙂.
@ Banach - I felt clan was a better word in the context I was using. I preferred it over other words likes factions or camps.
Where is this eCanada chat room mentioned in the article?
