two years ago today ...
Two years ago today I responded to an invitation to the beta version of something called eRepublik. I logged in, set up my account, and might have even bought some food. Then I said "oh, that's it?" and logged off for a few days till I got this email that if I didn't log back on and feed my citizen he would die. That was where I had my start in eRep and it has been an adventure ever since. Two months later I was in Congress ... then Party President of the largest party in the world ... and by the sixth month I was President of the largest country in the world for longest consecutive term that any President has served then or now.
To date I've served this game in a number of capacities. I've been an eUSA Forum Admin since the start of this Forum (and some before) and I've held the following political offices: 3.5 terms as eUSA Preisdent; 1 term Deputy Prime Minister of Canada; 4 terms eUSA Congress; 4 terms Canadian Parliament; 2 terms USWP Party President; and several cabinet positions such as Minister of Justice, Director of Justice, and Attorney General. Additionally I've served as a Major in the eUSA Army and was a Lieutenant and member of the CAF Elites in Canada.
Somehow I still find this game enjoyable despite that V2 sort of sucks. For me, the reason to enjoy this game is for the people. It's not about the medals, the wars, or anything else ... it's the people. That's what makes this game great. I've even met a few of them.
In two days I will be running for Congress for the 9th time and I hope that I get another chance to serve by running for a seat in FER. Thank you for all of those other opportunities ... they have made this game interesting and I've met many wonderful citizens.
I'm not going to stand around getting all long-winded ... instead I'll share some favorite articles:

Also I was doing some research for a pet project of mine recently, and saw that you endorsed Gaius to run against me for my reelection. While I defeated him handily, it still disturbs me that you could have let your udder hatred for me cloud the fact that I was the greatest president of all time.

Just a little tale I think I should share
I got an invite to early V1, played for about a week (in Turkey) then quit. Came back a month or so later when I got bored and got back into eRep, still boring though. Browsing through news I found scrabman, I sent him some messages about the game, he helped me and told me of the alliances in a neautral way even though I was not an eUS. Gave me a lot of spark to continue playing. Now, former President of Pakistan, 5-6 time congressmen, head of the Pakistani Armed Forces and respected as a senior player in Pakistan.

Awww. My Canadian homies. It was hard to leave eCan because you guys were so awesome but some of my eUSA homies have been asking me to come back for months. Who knows, if I win I may just get active again and then watch out.
Ms. T - I've thought about the eMarines. I made it to President before I was in a position to join up and then did my part with the CAF Elites but never had the eMarine experience like Hokiehigh did. I may have to take you up on that if I can figure this new combat module out. I honestly haven't taken the time to learn it yet but certainly will if I'm back in the band.

Time will tell ... but I have faith in our superior military. I've been thinking about joining each branch for a month at a time so that I can experience the differences and see which one is truly the best fit for me. If they will have me. Which one first?
