Day 1,715, 04:13 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by HebronGazelle

Food is an essential for doing well in eRepublik. As explained in my first ever article, there are several ways in which you can make getting your food even easier. So in this article, we shall cover:
- Earning Money For Food
- Buying Cheap Food
- When To Buy Health Packs
- What Are Energy Bars?

Earning Money For Food
Earning money for food is quite simple, but there may be some extra ways which you did not know about, for example, the can get higher paid jobs in other countries. So let's begin with this topic.
You may already be working for another company or you may not have a job at all, if you do not have a job then you will need to get one as soon as possible. As I write this tutorial, you could get a eUK job for 150GBP whilst a Q1 food costs only 0.30GBP. So with a days work you could buy 500 Q1 food, which is enough for most of you players who are not on the game constant. But what if you moved to Albania? There are over 15 jobs there which are higher then 150GBP, so you could easily move to Albania, using only 40GBP and then get a job. If you scan each countries markets and find a high paid job.

Almost everybody in the game has some sort of factory or raw material mine to gain produce from. Working in these companies is a great idea for making money. You will not gain money directly from using them but you can sell your produce on the marketplace to gain some more money.

Inviting friends to the game through your refferal link is a great way to get money. Not only will you find the game more fun by playing with your friends, but you'll also get gold everytime they earn gold. Youill get 10% of all gold they earn or produce and that gold can be changed into GBP on the monetary market.

Buying Cheap Food
This is a simple idea which so many people do not know about. It helps to know basic division mathematics to complete this task, otherwise you better have a calculator.
As I write this article the price of food is like this:
Q1 Food priced at 0.30GBP
Q2 Food priced at 0.59GBP
Q3 Food priced at 0.91GBP
Q4 Food priced at 1.30GBP
Q5 Food priced at 1.65GBP
Q6 Food priced at 2.20GBP
Q7 Food priced at 5.99GBP

You may look at this and see nothing exciting, so you might just go and buy Q5 as it saves room in your storage, or Q1 as it's the first you look at. But why don't you look at the cost of each health individually:
Q1 Food priced at 0.30GBP gives 2 health and is costing 0.15GBP per health
Q2 Food priced at 0.59GBP gives 4 health and is costing 0.1475GBP per health
Q3 Food priced at 0.91GBP gives 6 health and is costing 0.1516GBP per health
Q4 Food priced at 1.30GBP gives 8 health and is costing 0.1625GBP per health
Q5 Food priced at 1.65GBP gives 10 health and is costing 0.165GBP per health
Q6 Food priced at 2.20GBP gives 12 health and is costing 0.1833GBP per health
Q7 Food priced at 5.99GBP gives 20 health and is costing 0.2995GBP per health
By calculating the price of the health given from each quality of food, which took less then a minute, I have found that it was not Q1 or Q5 food which is the best, but infact Q2 food. This may change and you may have to calculate each time you buy. However this is buying cheaper food.

When To Buy Health Packs
Health Packs cost 0.5 gold and refill 10 health, and you would always buy them if you cannot refill any more health. But for so much gold, why would you only want to gain 10 health? Many people argue that you will never need to, or never should buy health packs. However that decision is yours, but here are a few scenarios in which you may want to buy a Health Pack:
- You Are About To Get A Battle Hero Medal, You might be top of the leaderboard for the battle or you might be just behind the person above you. You know that the other people around you on the leaderboard are not going to deal damage so you may use one Health Pack if it will take you into the lead. Winning the Battle Hero may get you 2 gold, or maybe 5 gold so spending that 0.5 gold may have been worth it.
- Your About To Log Off And Need One More Attack To Complete The Daily Order, If you complete the Daily Order you will recieve an Energy Bar worth 5 gold, so to spend 0.5 gold on getting something worth 5 gold could be worth it, if it is the only option.
- About To Get A Super Soldier, You need 3 strength to get a super soldier medal and you have no health. You want the super soldier medal today so you spend 0.5 gold on the Health Pack. Not only do you train to get extra strength but you have now been rewarded with 5 gold for the achievement.

All of these situations could be a good time to buy a health pack. However, if you are a new player, it is recommended that you save your gold to buy some factories. But this is your gold, so you can choose to spend it however you would like. But my advise, don't buy Health Packs.

What Are Energy Bars
An energy bar is a bar of 100 health which you can consume to get that health. These energybars are worth 5 gold to think carefully before buying them, just like I said with the Health Packs. However, energy bars are a lot more useful and are considered great by the eRepublik community, as they are seen as a Battle Hero winning combination, when with Bazookas, by many players throughout eRepublik.

Energy Bars can be recieved by doing several things. One of the ways in which you can earn an Energy Bar is by completing the Daily Order, in which you need to get 25 kills in certain campaigns. Another way is to complete quests. Not all quests will give you an Energy Bar, however some quests do give you more then one Energy Bar, so keep compelting those quests. Everytime your Military Rank goes up, you will receive an Energy Bar. So at the start of the game you may recieve quite a few, which you can use to fight even more, maybe get your rank up again. Finally, you can buy Energy Bars. But since you can earn them in many ways at the start of your game, I would recommend that you don't buy any early on.
