Turning the Tables eZine: Inaugural Edition
Welcome to Turning the Tables!
This weekly eZine will be dedicated to an independent frame of mind within the eUSA, particularly in addressing unconventional wisdom, making regular commentary on recent events, and possibly publishing the occasional piece of fiction. We'll gladly take contributions from other authors, and will publish them with attribution. Our goal is not just a newsletter of the editor's thoughts, but a new publishing presence that breaks the mold of the media in the eUSA.
Why "Independent"?
The editor has joined the United Independents Party. We hope this publication will keep to the same spirit as that party, but will not be a mouthpiece of it or any other political party. In eUSA, despite the socialist and conservative connotations of the political party names, they all hold similar beliefs on our country's biggest priorities. So eAmericans are in the same predicament nationally as they were in college and high school - the differences between candidates are mostly personality and clique-driven. In such a setting, we like working with a group that recognizes and celebrates that by encouraging free thinking instead of a pack mentality.
The President vs. the Federalists
Despite a strong showing in the last Congress and Presidential elections, the USWP and the President have both seemingly gone on a long and bitter feud with a minor party, the Federalists, calling them anarchists and other insults. Such behavior is trivial, immature, and a waste of the nation's time and energy, especially since the Federalists have not proven themselves to be anything more than a patriotic bit player on the national stage. It's a real shame that a re-elected President's focus is on an internal feud rather than protecting the country against a PTO from PEACE.
