TUP - Going Up In The World

This terms Congress elections have been a huge triumph for TUP. With 11 seats in the House of Commons, we are now joint first with UKRP, the largest party in eUK.

Despite it being Christmas day, 458 citizens logged in to vote, proving just how dedicated you are to our nation. A big thank you to all those who did, regardless of who you voted for. A no vote, is a vote against democracy, after all, and a vote for TUP is a vote for a party that cares.

The current statistics stand as:
TUP - 11
UKRP - 11
PCP - 8
UBP - 7
MDU - 3



This means The Unity Party now holds a massive 27.5% of the seats in Congress, compared to 26.47% of last term. Though this may not seem like much of an increase, with the appearance of the MDU in Commons, this is quite the feat. We are indeed going up in the world, moving from third place to joint first over the course of a month. Though this is not a clear majority, it still provides us with a larger voice, and the power to push for what we believe in.

The popularity of our party has increased dramatically recently, and can only be due to Squiddys strong leadership, and the up and coming politicians that are out there, getting involved, and really helping the citizens of eUK. Despite the controversy surrounding the TUP/UKRP coalition, Squiddy was re-elected as Party President and is now taking us from strength to strength. With a series of new policies being drawn up, you can expect some great things from The Unity Party very soon.

So, what is next for TUP?

With the sad but almost inevitable loss of our Country President; Dishmcds, the door has been opened for a new Prime Minister to take the helm. The race will be closer than it has ever been before, with strong candidates from UKRP and PCP, it could be anyones race. Whether or not TUP will place forward a candidate this term has yet to be decided, but expect big things from us in the coming months. Watch this space.
