PEACE(or peace, looks better small.
) plays a dirty game as usual, trying to take advantage of the fact that our population is huge and the majority of these players actually have little time to read everything around here. Couple that with the fact that YOU CAN'T SEE BATTLES ON THE HOMEPAGE THAT ARE ACTIVATED BY ALLIANCES, (which isn't right and I hope is something the admins are workin on) so sure enough, we have people log in fight in war games and log off.
(peace) has been stalking our media, having BS articles like one above voted into our top 5 media.
Only having 5 stories show up in the top 5 sucks too imho, I think it would better at 10 or at least 8. (Hook us up Admin!)
So what do we do about this? Well we vote up our own article, which goes like this.
Americans,
Enemies of our nation aim to disrupt and confuse our populace with BS psychological warfare. They resort to voting up articles in OUR media. We will not allow them to smear their lies across our country. From here on out, whenever you see an article like the above being voted up in our media, call it out, leave comments letting our enemies know we are not asleep, and WILL defend our allies. They often play a dirty game around here, using backdoor tactics to achieve their repugnant goals.
We are citizens playing this game from America, OUR America. We will continue to grow our influence and power, we will become a true global powerhouse. This nation will continue to stand up against peace aggression and work to liberate the oppressed.
Perhaps we already have, hence the weak attempt in the unlinked article above.

When you directly attack a country (like Croatia), no matter whose original territory it was, you have no credibility on the "liberation" statement. If you are truly interested in "liberating" countries, then start resistance wars to liberate territory that belongs to another country if that's what you really mean.

@ mjdiv: Don't be naive, attacking a neighboring region is a much more cost-efficient way of setting it free than trying to fly your army to another country.
The fact USA had no other option but to fly units to Greece doesn't mean all liberation battles should be RWs. For example look at Germany - with a coordinated push by France, Italy and Hungary it was freed in a matter of days, otherwise tanking for freedom would have cost a mountain of gold, much like the CG battle for the USA.

It's very simple. PEACE knows very well that if the eUSA fights on behalf of Croatia, they have no real chance of winning. So they resort to childish attempts at propaganda in the hopes of fooling us into wasting our strength in other areas. And then when the truth comes out, they attempt to smear it and use devious (well, the term loosely applies) and circular arguments to try to discredit it.
But I'll give credit where credit's due - they're very persistent at trying to make something work even when it's already falling apart.

*snorts* Again, gotta love the propaganda being spouted by the PEACE members here. Incidentally, in case certain narrow-minded individuals take exception to that, remember that propaganda is merely the spreading of ideas in order to help - or injure - a cause. The irony, of course, is that the PEACE propagandists are actually doing more harm than good to their own side.
For example, the snide little attempts at criticizing American efforts in that battle. Were it not for the fact that many of us fought in the war game against Ireland (because we didn't know about the attack on Croatia right away, in part due to game mechanics), things would have been quite different there. And you know it, else you wouldn't have bothered trying to convince us to fight in Rhode Island. The fact that you ultimately have to rely on such tactics to win battles (as well as very strong last-ditch efforts - I do give credit where it's due) doesn't demonstrate a lot of material strength.
Oh, and I can't help but find your rhetorical doublespeak about "fighting for oppression", ahh...interesting. How many countries have been completely overrun by PEACE members, or nearly so? Mind, I don't deny that some of the former ATLANTIS members are just as bad, but rhetoric like that doesn't work. It's little more than mealy-mouthed pithy sayings that sound good but aren't worth the nonexistent paper they're written on.
Enjoy your victory, such as it is. I do have to admit that you earned it. Just be wary that you don't ultimately make things worse for yourselves in the long run with such tactics.

( At Germany we will obtain only Hesse becouse its a great teritory to defend our ally's when its needed. And ALL Serbian teritory will go back to Serbia as fast we can. That is Imperalism? I think every eUS that sees an article in our media that is written by a peace member should just add the comment "PEACE PROPAGANDA" in all caps.
That way the large amount of eUS players who don't follow the media closely can at least check in the comments sections of an article. If large amounts of people have put "PEACE PROPAGANDA" in the comments section of an article then eUS players will know to disregard it.

We only fought for Central greece and becouse its high Iron. The problem is that we never said that Sweden or Poland or others are Imperials, but you always talk about the same to us. We liberated 43 nations and doing it on the 4. Atlantis did only one? Except for Greece where not freedom but high Iron was important. If freedom would be your main goal Germany wouldn't been ocupied or Romania doing it whit Russia and Ukraina or to us.
We didn't land a feet to your land, but you were in our land for month. So dont try to act as freedom-fighters and call us Imperials.
Hungary did more for freedom in 2 month than Atlantis all in his life.

@Peterbond: Whoop-de-freaking-doo, at least in regards to the whole three nations that PEACE has "freed". Seriously, for any member of PEACE to talk about "freeing" nations when they, as a community, have subjugated so many is rather ludicrous.
If you're really for true peace, then why not voluntarily free the nations which your member states have conquered? That's a rhetorical question, so you don't have to bother answering. I'm well aware that if you tried to do that, PEACE would fall apart because the kind of nations which run around and conquer others wouldn't stand for having to give up their ill-gotten gains, save when it's of benefit to them.
The point here is that no matter what kind of rhetoric and propaganda you come up with, people are going to look at what you're actually doing. You can talk about peace and freeing nations all you want, but when all I have to do is look at the map and see all the places that PEACE nations have conquered, there's not a chance that I'm going to believe what you say is anything more than words.
I know ATLANTIS nations have been guilty of much the same thing in the past. But at least most of them are honest about their intentions, rather than making grandiose claims of seeking freedom and peace while they hold several nations (or parts of nations) in bondage.

We play this game as one of the biggest and most powerfull nations. We dont act allways as I would and as I think it would be the best nore Peace isn't perfect at all. But coming to comparisation whit Atlantis Nations we are far further in morals. You have your positive side ( Taking care of your allies, freeing Greece ) and bad side ( Invading Germany, killing Serbians at they own country ). But you cant see the enemies good side and actually creating a fals vision of a really bad country to se your self as good guys.

Varga, it doesn't matter whether PEACE "acquired" territories from ATLANTIS nations or not. The fact is that many PEACE nations have in fact overrun nations, in whole or in part. For people in PEACE to loudly proclaim that their alliance is focused on the twin goals of peace and freedom while several of their nations hold large swatches of occupied territory which could not have been gained except through military means is disingenuous, as I said before.
For you to claim that PEACE is more moral than ATLANTIS is like one pig claiming that he is not quite as dirty than another, when in fact both are still filthy. I won't deny that ATLANTIS nations are guilty of much the same thing, including political dirty tricks such as PTO attempts. PEACE isn't evil, but so many of the actions they take are bad that the rhetoric itself has become little more than a bad joke (in fairness, ATLANTIS is much the same in that regard).
Also, how does one "kill" citizens in eRepublik? You're going to have to explain that claim, since it's ridiculous on the face of it.
