To war! After a fun term last month supplied by WookieO, lets see if Bohemond4 can keep it up. But where can we go? Ireland? Belgium? Norway? We have many options to choose from to expand our British empire. Start looking today so we can get fighting tomorrow, this article will look at all of that.
Why Is This The Time For War?
To put it simply, have a look at the current military campaigns being fought. With TWO's dominance coming into real force, the alliance is fighting only a few wars. During past eUK conflicts, TWO has been distracted by the major conflict in the Balkans or by Poland. By the end of next week Poland will have complete control of USA while Venezuela will have control of Mexico. There will be no more major conflicts concerning TWO. If the eUK were to start a war during this time, the eUK would receive a lot of support from TWO.
After a war-filled CP term lead by WookieO, the eUK defended attacks from Bulgaria and France while conquering Belgium at the same time. As you can see by other articles in the media, eUK citizens are hungry for more war. Bohemond4 has just gained power of the country, but is unlikely to get re-elected if he does not please the people.
So What and Where?
The eUK has a few options on the table; Ireland, Norway and Belgium. Netherlands and Canada are also possible options in the future.
Ireland already have most of their regions conquered by the eUK, only 3 more need to be taken for Ireland to be wiped. Ireland's population is a fifth of the eUKs as they only have around 400 people in their country. A low number of MPP's, and previous successes in Ireland make them an even more favoured choice by many citizens. They do have a 20 billion damage shield, but this does not all need to be destroyed to conquer their regions.
Look at all those regions we could take.
Norway is a country that the eUK does not often fight, but the option has been there for the past few months. When Romania crushed Scandinavia, they left one Norwegian region. The eUK can finish the wipe of Norway by attacking this country with only 282 citizens. Norway have a 10 billion damage shield(half of Ireland) and only 3 allies to help them, which makes them an easier country to conquer. Conquering Norway would also give us a link to Netherlands.
Belgium are another small country, and with only 420 citizens they have been struggling with PTO threats for a while. Belgium are a member of CoT(the enemies of TWO) which gives us more reason to attack them and gain TWO support. Like Ireland, they have only 3 regions which we would need to conquer. Due to our recent attack on Belgium, they only have a 4 billion damage shield which is very easy to get past. Belgium do have 8 MPP's, more than the other options.

war, huh, what is it good for?
Absolutely everything, it stops us ripping chunks out of each other, gets the markets moving, allows us to gain TP gold as well as rank points... i see no reason not to pursue acts of aggression.

Poles already called dibs on the Dutch. The rest, wherever you aim the effect is the same.
Although don't forget, shields effect is determined by the number of regions. If you only have 1 region, your shield is ridiculously huge. Check the Dutch/CA RW to see that. It'll not make a war unwinnable, sure, and after a wipe it is indeed possible to have some shield left intact, but the bulk of a shield is D4, which is the best chance we're going to have at winning wars like that - so the vast majority of a shield we're going to have to contend with and remove.
We could just wait 3 months until they all have 50 billion damage shields...
Who is saying don't do it? All I'm saying is you can do it AND think things through properly, why would you not want to?
As i said in my article CC, obstacles will be put in place. Shields, cost, TWO support etc etc... Those that oppose are like a broken record.

Expansion for expanding sake is not normally a good idea. Put simply long term wipes of countries tend to stick in peoples minds and can damage relationships to a point where it becomes impossible to repair.
If expansion for bonus was the aim then I would be all for it. These regions specifically:

The other alternative would be to negotiate with TWO nations to allow us to look after a couple of their colonies with bonuses that we need and they perhaps do not, in order to boost our productivity.
Finally your numbers are really good, however personally I feel they lack context. Could you perhaps look into updating them to include each country you list and an amalgamated total? That would make it perfect.

No one has suggested long term wipes, eUK isn't powerful enough to enforce that anyway. This isn't about bonuses, it's about wanting to end the stagnation of the eUK...
Whats the difference between this and training wars then?
Using the imagery of expanding our empire to me implies holding onto regions, hence my confusion.

If war is simply to gain TP medals and have more buttons for the populace to press without any intention to hold onto regions then I would class that as a training war. Something that we have had no problem before in arranging, and i'm sure will have no problem arranging another.
The only difference that I see is that we would not agree the training war with the government on the other side beforehand - potentially damaging relationships for no real benefit.

The only other scenario in which this could be useful would be to continue to wipe and hold CoT nations down, thus adding yet more countries onto the wiped list and further reducing CoT's total region count. This would however require us to hold onto the region for a significant length of time, at least the rest of the term imo.

TL😃R - Simple minded crying out and braying for war was a characteristic of a particular group of people that you personally sought out to remove from UKPP, NE and eventually eUK.
If you want to have a dream - lets dream for something bigger that has purpose. Lets think it through. And then lets do it.

Training War implies a structured, agreed to'ing and fro'ing of regions. The community is not asking for that, they are asking for 'no holds barred, see where it takes us' warfare. A much more enticing prospect.
TP gold is but a side product of war, the real benefits come in rank points, a moving market and enjoyment. Agreed TW's do not elicit the same excitement.
Damaging relations with who? eIreland are waiting to stab us in the back, eNorway are so insignificant it don't matter, no one gave a toss about the eCanada's community and improving relations with them during the 8 months eSpain kicked em around and eBelgium have made their bed in CoT. We have dropped more important allies during TWO/CoT, most notably MKD and Chile. So don't 'damage relations' me...
The dream consists of holding onto regions for as long as we can. Of testing ourselves, of breathing a bit of life and excitement in our shores. If we manage to hold a CoT aligned country under wipe for congress then great. As war progresses war goals will change.
As for yourTL😉R - if you believe I sought to remove such characteristics from the eUK that just proves your ignorance on matters. It's a common mistake to make for the uninformed.

We should probably launch an attack on Ireland when the Dutch are being polish'd, it would be a bad day for the defenders.
The power lies in the hands of Congress. The CP's role in deciding Wars is much smaller than is made out.

there is a major conflict still to be had, the Australasian theater is still on the CoT side, eChile must be kept out and eIndo needs to be pushed out.
